Very cool, I’m not into story games, but liked this one, seemed to have a lot of choices and wasn’t the same every time :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you!
It's nice that it made you feel like it had a lot of choices, because it actually has very little content :P

But anyways, we will keep updating it and if you liked it be sure to come back later!

Lovely little story game! The random events do give off a feel of every run being a little different. The UI is clean and the music is pleasant.

  • Opening and closing text disappears on it’s own after some short amount of time. In general, it’s too short, and I’m sure most people wouldn’t have a problem with it, but for slow or distracted readers it might be a little issue. I’d suggest keeping the text on the screen until the user clicks it away, much as is being done in the game itself.
  • The window showing the stars is a nice touch, but it definitely needs to be used way more. It’s just one image at the moment. At least a single image for the event currently going on would be cool. Like, a image of a wormhole for the wormhole event, or a derelict ship for the derelict ship event… you get the idea. (I did see you responded to this particular point on discord, but felt I’m putting it in my written comments just for completeness :) )
  • Between each event, the screen fades to black and immediately back in again. Over all, this doesn’t harm anything or take away from the game, but it is kinda unnecessary.

Over all I really think this is a nice story game. I’m not totally sure of how many events are in the game (I think there were four or five before I came to a successful end), but if you added a score or two more, then you’d have a wonderful choose-you-own adventure or Oregon Trail like game on your hands!

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! We appreciate it a lot

I'm still surprised many like you like the UI (because I made it myself, and I am no artist)

About your points:

- I agree the text should wait for input, but I implemented most of that on the last hours and did little to no testing because I wanted to get done with all of that. Anyways I will fix it after the jam

- About the window, like I said to you on discord, that was the plan, but again I had no time left to implement all of that (and also we had no artist).

- That's a valid point, what I intended to do was to give the player the sensation of "some time passed, you are woken up again to make another desition" but it's true it wasn't clear enough, I think its mostly due to the almost static UI

Currently there are only 6 events, counting the intro and the good ending (wich triggers if no other event is available)

We all liked how the game turned out so we are planning to extend it with many more events and other stuff (probably minigames) that I did not have the time to implement, so we welcome you and everybody else to check on it in the near future

Thanks again for playing it!

This feels like a very clean prototype to what could be a really cool game. The current content is relatively small, but it's beautifully presented. I can't speak to what design aspects could make it better or worse, because I think it's great in it's current design. Just wish there was more. :P

Very, very nicely done. Excellent work. ^^

Thanks!

I know we have little content, but I wanted to submit it anyway mostly for the feedback and to see if people liked it, so your comment really makes me happy because its what I wanted to see...

One of the initial plans was to add like minigames in some events, sort of like the tasks of "Among us"

And like I said to other commenters, we will keep updating the game soon (TM), so be sure to check it out on the near future. If you forget don't worry, I will probably spam it on the discord server :P

Hahah when it pops up on the Discord I'll do my best to give it another shot. ^^

I liked this a lot. It was really atmospheric and captivating. Like the other commenters I wished that there was more :) Amazing game!

Developer

Thank you! I think most of the atmospheric feel is because of the amazing chill music, so it was all because of @PattricioDruetta
We also loved making this game and we are planning to keep developing, so be sure to check it out later!

I had a great time, but I wanted more! I only really made 4 decisions on my initial loop :(

Developer

So glad you liked it! Comments like yours really make us want to keep developing the game :)

We are already planning to add more events and stuff after the jam so be sure to check it out later!

This was really nice, perhaps a bit random, but still quite suspenseful. You really managed to convey the feeling of being a lonely AI controlling a ship in outer space.

Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We are really glad to hear that. In the future things will still get that randomness but not EVERY event will be like that

I was surprised just how well the atmosphere worked in this game. It manages to put a knot in your stomach as you make decisions that could alter the fate of the crew. Nicely done.

Developer

That's so so awesome to hear!! Thank you really much

Nice game. The story is great, it really sucked me in.

Developer

We're really glad to hear that!!

Loved the idea of a story driven sci-fi rogue like. The visuals are very nice and the aesthetics fit the theme perfectly.

Everyone is talking about a wormhole that I never got to encounter, so the variety of events is nice.

My only wish is that it was longer. My first play through had only three events and then I reached my destination. I do understand this kind of system is hell to implement in the time span of a jam so I commend you for going for such a complex system and pulling it off.

Congratulations.

Developer

This kind of comments really puts a smile on our faces and drives us to keep adding stuff! Thank you so much

Love these type of games, and you made it perfect! Although entering a wormhole shouldn't be so bad...anyways, really enjoyed it!

Developer

We're really happy to hear that!, We wan't to keep adding some more stuff later down the line!

Submitted(+2)

Hmm, and here I was thinking entering a wormhole is a good idea. :/

Still, really cool game! :)

Developer

Maybe is... maybe it isn't... what are your chances? maybe in another "parallel time line" it was worth it ;)

Wow! Really neat game. I loved the game design here. The random events and decision making really add a unique edge to this game. I would love to see this expanded with additional events and potentially side-objectives. Definitely one of the more unique entries in the jam!

Developer

Oh wow thank you so much, we definitely planning on adding more stuff down the line ;)

Well done!
