Just thought I would give you a heads up!
The screen shake was a really nice feature. Wish there could have been some levels that maybe required the power of such a bit ape or something. Nice game!
Thank you for the feedback! I'm happy you enjoyed it! I absolutely agree with you on that front. I think it would be cool to have some barriers or something that requires the power of a huge ape. There would sort of be a two way system then. You need to be small enough to get between spaces but big enough to break down obstacles. Interesting!
Awesome game! Presentation was great, as others have said you sold the increasing weight very well. I loved the jump sound, it was hilarious to me for some reason.
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I agree it could have been a bit harder in some places. I really spent the first 4 levels doing tutorials basically. I think that if I had more time I would absolutely try and heighten the difficulty AND create a zoom-out-able screen so the player could see the entire difficult level.
I love the pixel art you made and The ending was touching. p.s. I think I can still see the collision box behind the ape
Thank you! And yes! You can see the collision box a little. I was trying to figure out a way to show the collision box without it seeming like it was a debug thing. My goal was to have it so that the player has a better idea of where they can fit and where they can't. There is also a slightly green larger box around the player to represent the next size up of collision box after they absorb an ape. If I were to continue with the game, I'd probably make the size of the player to a grid so it's easier to know and predict where you'll be able to fit and not fit. Thank you for playing!
Such a fun game! Lots of great gameplay effects e.g screenshake, and with a little better art this would be even better. Great job.
Cool game idea, wasn't expecting it to be a puzzle platformer. The increasing screenshake of the ape when it gets big is super satisfying. Great work!
Looks really great and plays nicely. I love the effects as the ape gets larger.
Nice game! The visuals are nice, the gameplay is fun and the screenshake really sells the size of the ape. Great job!
Very cute game! Very polished, nice visuals, tough but not much puzzles. Only complaint is that in fullscreen game started lagging much, but in windowed mode everything fine.
Job well done!
Cool game, got to the end where you're in heaven (?). Thought the puzzles were creative especially off of a simple to understand concept
Monkey, but for real, nice game, although some platforms are hard to reach.
very fun idea.
some feed back if you were to continue this in the future would be implement a way to show the entire level. It felt a bit unfair at times since I cant see all of the openings, so I just need to guess how to solve the puzzle.
