We are making a game about growing as a person,  guidance and  how by offering a helping hand, one can grow aswell.

Wow, that's a very good idea, 'growth' as a person, I'm interested in how the gameplay will work, will probably work much better than mine

There won't be arcadey gameplay or anything like that. It'll be more of a short story with minigames. =)
I'm excited to see how your zombie growing game develops! ^w^

I kept coming back to an RPG system as growth while brainstorming, but I've never made an RPG before, so I'm just making a basic system where the protagonist ages and can die before finishing the game.

Sort of a platformer as a tree that you play as in different stages of life, and each stage (there's 4) has different abilities. I might have to cut some of the stages though, since I'm not sure if I can make the deadline otherwise

I have long standing idea of a VR gardening game, where player can cut and shape a bonsai trees.

I will not do it as a VR or even proper game for now. Decided to just implement the mechanics of shaping the tree and cutting leaves as my entry for this Jam

Growing plants for stopping a dangerous growth in your brain from growing.

I've trying to build a growing carnivorous plant game, where you get taller as you eat your enemies for a few days. I want it to be composed of nested segments with PinJoints and RigidBodies, but as it grows it needs to add new parts and I haven't been able to get this mechanics working without breaking the physics engine... it works great if the game starts with the required segments but as soon as I start adding them all hell breaks loose...

I'll try some more but it seems I won't be able to finish the jam....

Anyone ever did something similar? Reparenting and moving Joints during gameplay?

We’re doing a point and click adventure where the player is stuck in purgatory because they weren’t a good enough person to pass through to the afterlife, so they have to prove they can grow as a person in order to escape purgatory and joined their loved ones.

We’re hoping to get something in before the deadline, but we got a late start and I’m still learning Godot.

The character is stuck in a house that grows each night. You have to wander around the new rooms each day, defeating enemies and surviving until you find the exit.

A puzzle game where you eat food to increase in size. When your size increases, there are fewer places you can fit, but you're able to cross larger gaps.

A hack and slash adventure game where an evil tree is sapping a kingdom's land barren. You have to destroy the evil tree to regrow the kingdom's forests.

I only made the game within the last 24 hours of the jam, so I kept it simple. You're a guy who wants to plant bamboo, and there's some bonzais that want to stop you. Luckily, you have the gift of being able to run and jump very, very well.

Our game is about a mushroom who accidentally creates an out-of-control beanstalk.  He has to climb it to save his friends.  It's a vertical, procedurally generated platforming game! It can be "beaten" as well as played infinitely for a high score!
