I love this game and found myself trying to beat my times for some of the levels. I'd love to see you build on this concept and come up with levels that incorporate a new rule or mechanic.

Can you also try out mine? You said you wanted to play entries... https://vector-sky.itch.io/the-space-wanderer
The hand-gliding mechanic added depth to the platforming and the pixel art looked really nice! The goal wasn't necessarily failing it was more of a endpoint that you had to reach four times, maybe the level could have changed each time you play it, other than that the control felt good and the game looked really good!
I really liked your game, but it's a little bit too repetitive. Good job :)
It was really fun, and that is what I care about most. The simplicity made it super easy to confidentially jump in, and overall was a great experience. the gameplay is a bit repetitive, so maybe try to make a feature that will make each time different, like making a new ability every time you damage yourself (like the first time will be gliding, the second will be double jumping, etc.)
I like the simplicity of this game. Really like the hang gliding mechanic (I'm tired of double-jumps).
A simple idea to avoid repetition: If the player drops regularly some time-malus along his way, this will force to change path every time. Better: drop blocks on your way, it could blocks you but also create a better path.
Overall this is a great job.
Hey man good job on the game. I like his expression when he's gliding lol An extra touch would be that depending on the height at which the player touches the red wall they lose more health. Like if it's 5 blocks from top he loses health at once and so on. Good job mate!
Nice game idea and nice mechanic. I found a bug, when you fly and die you can hit yourself twice and when the player fly his eys looks like there a dead but all in all very good game.
I like the feeling of the character, especially the jumping and gliding. Really cool game! I agree that there are a bit too many lives per level.

I love that glider mechanic! Fun game and good job :) Lower that life count and I think that would help the user experience quite a bit :)
Something about the music and flickering background gave this a rather eerie feeling, I was almost waiting for a jump-scare. The glide mechanic works pretty well.
Concept wise it was interesting. Like others I do have the sticking point with the five lives thing. Feels like it was length padding rather than contributing to the fun of the design. If you decide to push this further post jam I would either change the levels a bit each death or make each level a single death. The focus on the speed running is a cool choice.
Its a nice game, things get a bit repetitive. Maybe it would be better if you spawned at random points in the level then had to race to the red boxes instead of starting at the same point each time
The idea has potential, but the levels were a little too simple/easy. The controls feel super good though, and it's cool that you made your own music.
