This is my first finished game and this project helped me to learn more about coding in C# and using Unity. When I found out about this game jam I intensively worked on this game for about a week and a half and I will surely be doing something like this again. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I did making it. (Playable in browser)

I think this is a good start, the mechanics are there, with nice visuals and sound. The main thing I'd focus on is improving the attacks. I think you could differentiate the dash and spin attacks a bit more, and make the light bomb stand out. It's a bomb, but doesn't make much of a splash. I also think the attacks should be introduced slowly rather than having them all from the beginning. Overall, great groundwork for a fun game.

I love the polish in this game, the nice particle effects and the screen actually getting darker as the darkness touches the light. I really the mechanic of defending against the approaching darkness, but the first wave I found to be really hard, especially with trying to get used to what the different weapons do. Altogether nice job !

Ooooooooh, really good stuff here. I Love the idea that the darkness is literally eating away at the light. The way the background gradually gets darker is an amazing touch. And between the three weapons, you really get a good range of strategies.

But on that note, I think the first wave is a liiiiiiitttlleee too hard for the first thing a player sees. It's totally doable yes, but I feel like so many darkness balls come at once that it's easy to resort to button mashing instead of strategically thinking which attack to use. I think if you decrease the speed and amount of darkness in wave 1 and maybe 2, you'll give the player a sort of built in, no explanation needed tutorial to really get the weapons under their belts, so they'll be able to go into the full on darkness having their battle plan ready.

Well done with this! I enjoyed it!

I love the effects and graphics of the game! I also feel like the white background could be something else, maybe at least a gradient or shade of a certain color? I think it would still look clean this way! Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed playing! Keep it up :)

Fun game. The art is really good. Sounds and music are good too.

At first glance, the white background looks like empty space without ground where you can't move, so it might be better to use something else for that.

I felt like something's missing in the overall feel. Maybe the cooldown period of attacks is a little longer or maybe the attacks additional feedback.

Thank you for your feedback! I agree that the white backgorund looks a little weird at first glance but I wanted it to be clean becouse it gets darker based on the "health" you have left. I agree that I could have made something better with the same effect if I had more time to do so.

Its a bit like a Tower Defense Game without the Towers.

Fun: Yes it makes Fun, Dashing around and Hitting Black Magic

Visual: Mhh could be improved, the plain white background is mhh terrible.

Audio: Its okay!

Mood: You feel like you have to Protect the Center, you are In the Game and it wants you to Play a couple Rounds

Idea: Cool Idea, Cool Concept, I Enjoyed playing it.

Oh my god, what a game! i had to come back and read the description to see how long this game took.

It was an amazing experience mainly because my game has a very similar "protect in frenzy mode" vibe. So its just great to see someone create an entirely different with amazingly fitting graphics and sound.

got to learn a lot playing your game....job well done in my opinion🎉👏
