Glad to hear :)!

Much appreciated!

Thank you!

Here's mine! https://itch.io/jam/trijam-156/rate/1398866 :)

I agree, the bloom could be high, the only issue I had with that is some things would look nice with a larger bloom and some things look worse with it, and there really wasn't a middle ground I could come to, but I would try to go for it again and see what I can do. I also agree with you on the attack, I never was able to make an attack animation or even maximize the capabilities of the sword effects so I could definitely work on that to make it more captivating. I suppose it seems pretty obvious now but yeah that is how dialogue should work, it should be a quick fix which I agree with. Thank you for all the feedback, I appreciate it!

Thank you for your feedback! As the game is becoming more and more developed, there should be ways in which sliding and looking up/down would benefit the gameplay! :)

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it! :)

I am going to be streaming my creation of the jam throughout the work it starts for anyone that would want to watch, would appreciate it, thank you!

I will probably start late Sunday or on Monday so watch out for that!

Really cool game I love the concept of it and it had a really nice puzzle element to it which I really liked. I #1 thing I liked was the innovative idea of being able to jump on your projectiles! Good job!

I like the visuals and the way the game is played! A very simple game concept which at times like this is a good idea because it can enjoyable at the same time! :)

The only things I would say that is negative is that sometimes the scraps wouldn't go towards the enemy bot that is closest to the thing I want to protect and went further back, also I could get out of bounds pretty consistently, I can get back in but it shouldn't be a thing in the first place.

Overall good job!

Yea I actually realized that checkpoints would really benefit the project because of the spikes specifically, I would probably add checkpoints before everything that can kill you so it's not an annoying thing to do when you have to come all the way back. The bomb is a work in progress because it doesn't have any functionality as of yet so I made it 'B' just to make it that for now so I will probably change some things like that, as of goes every other keybind, they're not fully confirmed on that keybind so I could always change it. Thank you for the feedback!

I did try to make a custom cursor but it was random if it showed up in my game or not so I decided to leave it out for jam time purposes but I definietly will find a way to keep it in. I will probably change the "Continue" button the dialogue to something like "[SPACE]" so people would know to click space, or even have both there, and ill find a way to fix the talking sounds after dialogue. Thank you for the feedback!

Glad you liked it, thank you for the feedback!

I really like the way this game is, I like the audio, the characters, the dialogue, the visuals, and the idea, I think the part I found really cool was when the two roaches were talking together and one had to go in a box while we went on top, it was just a cool idea to me.

The only thing I would say is that when you are going up inclined slopes, it can be kind of awkward to go up them considering you're keeping the same collision you have going onto a slope and that can sometimes make it hard to jump, I personally didn't have a big problem with it so it might just be fine.

Regardless, I really liked the game! Great job!

I really like the art style in this game, it's very simple but also looks good, I like the dialogue concept in this game and even like the lines between the monsters and even the elbow licking one specifically, what I would say is that it could come off as annoying from the first level when every time you stepped, you would have to read the dialogue and it happened multiple times and was unexpected so I just kept walking and kept getting dialogue. I do like the way that it has a "checkers" element to it as I see the game as a board I need to then get to the end by walking around the monsters and collecting different items that will help me survive, good job!

Thank you very much, will check it out now!

Really cool concept! I like the way things come off as minimalistic like the enemies but still gives the fun vibe to it, good job!

I really liked the lighting effects in general and how the attacks work, as well as the background feel, my only thing would be that it feels like there is a lot of empty space which is a personal preference thing, good job!

Would be really cool to see what you think, thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! I really like that idea about one npc teleporting, I’ll implement that instead 😄

(1 edit)

Just played it, I really like the visual aspect as well as the way the player dances and all the flashing lights and everything else in the background. My only thing is that at some points it didn't feel like I wasn't trying to stay on beat and more of just trying to catch circles with some background music if that makes sense, it reminds me of a different take on guitar hero in a sense which I liked, great job!

Thank you for the feedback! I will work on those things, I didn't yet program bombs to kill enemies which seems weird but I planned to make that and will reduce bomb explosion time because I agree!

Very cool idea, it has the potential to turn into an addicting game or quite already is, only thing is that when you're moving too fast you won't be able to get stars all the time from what I saw, good job!

Oh I'm sorry to hear, could you be more specific on what part so I can be able to change it possibly? Thank you!

I really like the music in this game, it adds a lot! All the sounds come together very nicely, and I like the gravity mechanic as well, good job!

I like the concept! More items in the shop would be cool, or even some music in the background would be refreshing, good job :)!

Project Knight

The first prototype of Project Knight, a spin on traditional rogue-likes.

I see xD I submitted a rating :)!

I liked how you were able to jump over walls to then avoid the ghosts, it really put a spin on the OG pacman!

Best of luck!

I submitted "Project Knight" :)! What about you?

About the Project Knight Prototype:

This release is a prototype, meaning there is a lot more to be put in until the final version which is planned to release 2021. Although being a short prototype, it will not be lacking, showing the various main mechanics with the tutorial level, as well as a few of the enemies that will be thrown at you throughout the game. Project Knight will feature various little bugs and maybe even some glitches considering this is a one-man development team, but those will be fixed ASAP whenever they're known!

Story

Trapped and wanting to find your way back to the throne, with a multitude of weapons at your disposal you'll have to fight your way through various terrains to then overthrow the wretched king and claim back what was once yours.

Project Knight is not the official name but named that until further notice.

I hope you'll be able to enjoy the small experience given, and give feedback if you can, it always helps!

You would go onto the page of other people games through the jam and then it will give you the option to give stars based on criteria, and then submit your rating :)!

It really had me in one of those addicting phone game kind of feels where I would just play on it for time and time just clicking which easily entertained me, good job!

Pretty addicting, good job!

I enjoy the concept of the game, as well as the look and controls!

Text is supposed to indicate which "level" of the course you're on (out of ROY G BIV) and the character stays pink throughout, I personally always been someone to press SPACE when playing these games so I apologize for not adding the W feature, the same goes for the shot, and thank you for the critique, it helps me improve :)!

Thank you :)!

I'm not sure why this is happening :( I have a Windows computer, but I had a friend who installed it on Mac and it worked fine, but I guess that's just what happens sometimes, I will look into it :)!
