i really like how finished the game it ♥ and it is designed well..i may not know too much about metroidvanias but this one for sure had the whole "want to explore" vibe to it.
the sounds are just so perfect...superb job there!!!! i just loved killing those small ball-like creatures all the time because of how they exploded.
if i were to point out something it would be only the camera movement. its too snappy and caused me some dizziness too at the start.
i struggled with the controls tho....like every once a while the game would stop taking input from both mouse and keyboard....maybe that's just a webgl issue but yea
it would have been better if the boss did something or if there was some indication that you are supposed to fight it and some visual indication that its taking damage as well
otherwise, it looks like a solid game concept....well done so far 👏
the level design, the uses of all the different weapons and that entire balance of it all...it just made me want to explore more and more. my exploration would have been so rewarding had i not seen that image of your entire map on your page before playing the game XD.
its sad that you had to keep all the upgrades unlocked for this jam....would have loved to explore and finish the game
You guys blew me away with this one...A visually pleasing game not gonna lie. the sound, and the art, and all THAT POST PROCESSING is just super crazy.
i wanted to give up pretty quick because the movements are just quite unforgiving. that jump and dash has a steep learning curve and doesn't always seem consistent, but i didnt wanna give up so soon because of juicy that game looks and sounds
just maybe try making the jump a little higher and reducing the overshooting once the player lands?
i know im gonna be waiting for the sound to be added <3
the only thing i would like to point out it that i felt the difficulty was quite the leap i found it impossible to do the melee attack without taking some damage always...and that could definitely mean I'm a noob XD but i thought ill point it out regardless
i like the game. it was fun to play and the level design is great as well. superb artwork with the characters btw. however, in my opinion, the art of the background and the platform was a little bit frustrating at first. they are pretty similar to each other and when the player starts moving it gets kinda hard to differentiate. the same goes with the spikes as well.
otherwise, the game felt pretty polished and balanced. i loved playing with both the characters i must say.

I really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere you managed to create....the strike sound was a little too much in my opinion, the sound was so intense it just made getting back in the groove a little difficult... a great game tho!! kudos.
It's a really great game overall...I had fun for a while after which the camera stiffness when moving sideways started to hurt my eyes....a great game and the currency system loved it!!!
