Very nice! I like the black&white style, and the movement of the hero is very satisfying! :D

I liked the riddle theme of the game, and movements.

yet I use pretty bad Computer, and it is lagging at the potato computers.
I suggest you to work more on the performance of the levels.

But otherwise game IS REALLY GREAT. Music is not annoying, riddles are fun, Dying is not fun :D. And puzzles are not too hard.

Great game feel! I particularly enjoyed the "crumbs" that break off when you hit a wall. They really help sell the impact. The art style reminds me of Box Boy which I love.

I would suggest removing the Enter key to respawn.  Just time it so the player respawns 1 second after the particle system ends. Unless I'm missing something of mechanical importance!

I had fun with this, great work!

Brilliant! I really like that you didn't stick with puzzle mechanics only, but action/platform ones as well.

It's probably not your fault, but on my Linux machine there's a big purple triangle in the middle of the game in Firefox and there's no "CRT disortion" effect either. In Chromium it works fine. It might be a WebGL related issue.

Love this, brilliant use of the camera shaking and simple sound effects.

Really simple concept but great use of the "locked" theme.  I like bite-size puzzle games like this lately so this was a nice little game for me.

Very well done! Visuals, mechanics and audio match perfectly! I did audio and music for this one : https://itch.io/jam/my-first-game-jam-winter-2021/rate/892511

Fun simple graphics. Liked the feel of the controls and the camera shake when you hit the walls. Puzzles are well thought out as well. Good job!

I like the game

I overall really like the game it's a simple easy idea but I can see that you've put a lot of effort into polishing the game to make it feel better as well as a lot of levels. I especially like the CTR effect with the curvedness of the screen as well as the particles.

I know why you wanted to punish the player for restarting but it feels way to harsh at the moment perhaps the player could loose only half a heart, which would probably make it feel more fair.

Besides that tough really well done and nicely polished game especially for 2 weeks.

Awesome game, I just wish there was an infinite lives option

Excellent game! really simple but very clean and well made. love the fish eye lens kind of style

not sure I get the reasoning behind the lives system. Makes it feel real bad when you get stuck on a level, hit R to restart and then you get kicked out to the main menu? Especially when it's your first death like it was for me

other than that, great game :D

It doesn't start for me. Maybe im too dumb. probably

It's a cool puzle game, it reminds me to tomb of the mask, probably the best game of the game jam

Developer

Thanks! Tomb of the mask was definitely in the back of my mind while making this.

This is a great game but the reset button is broken, once you lose all lives and start again, you can't restart again. Really good game though!

Developer

Thx I'll fix it when I have time.

This game is awesome! trying to speedrun the game really makes you hate those turrets though lmao
