Hello! My name is Gabe, I'm game designer and musician, and together with a friend of mine that does 3D modeling and animation, we want to make a game for the jam, but we still need someone with programming skills for the team.

Our goal is to make a chill ps1-like dream exploration game, where the player is transported to different dream scenarios through the use of medicinal herbs. Each herb/combination gets you to a different - or slightly different - dream, and there are little puzzles and snippets of a bigger narrative in each dream. Ultimately, you have to put the pieces together and "solve" a final puzzle. This is the basic idea, but we aim to let the game develop organically throughout the process of making it, welcoming both the more abstract and psychedelic concepts to the more concrete "gamy" elements that may come

We intend to make this game in our free time, so we're not aiming to make something huge or ambitious, and we're ready to adapt as the jam progress. We also want to incorporate the skills and creative vision of everyone that joins the team.

If you're a programmer (or artist) and want to join us, please respond to this topic or send me a dm in discord (@gabemalk).

Cheers!

Valeu, admiro tuas artes!

Thanks a lot!

Thank you!!

The white screen is the "salvation" lol we didn't have time to make a proper ending. Thanks for playing and congrats on beating the maze !!

Really cool game, specially considering it was made in 2 days. I came across a few bugs, and a tutorial or readme would be cool cause it took me sometime to figure out I could... ah... "kick" (?) enemies lol
But yeah, really fun, I loved the art and concept!

The idea is great! Sometimes the game crashes in fake words, but great work anyway!

Cool game, sometimes it's a bit too challenging to control, but it's still enjoyable.

The art, concept and presentation is all great! Mechanics are good, but sometimes bunnies get stuck in weird loops, a bit a polish and this will be a great game! Congrats!

It seems like something is not right with the screen, I can't see the mouse :/

Short and sweet, a really fun - and sad! - game.

Simple but fun!

The driving feels nice, the lighthearted art is really cool too. The game can be a biting confusing and punishing (where's the hospital lol), but it's doable once you understand what you're doing. Nice work!

Cool game and cool art! Sometimes the dash you do to stab people can be frustrating cause it goes really far and makes you lose control for a bit, but nonetheless, it's a really nice game.

Hello everyone, how is it going? My name is Gabe, I'm a writer and game designer - you can check my work here.

Since December last year I've been working a full time job and had to distance myself from this little passion of mine, which is making games. I just don't have the time and energy to organize a brand new project anymore, but that doesn't mean I wanna give up this passion, and this is why I'm here; I'm looking for new projects to join in. I really want to get back into writing and designing, so I need something that's worth doing in my spare time, either because it's a paid gig or because it's something light and fulfilling.

Here's a list of what I can offer:

  • Write a GDD (game design document) for your game, establishing the design vision, plot and core mechanics of the game;
  • Write dialogue (for a game, animation or even film);
  • Write and design questlines and/or lore for your project;
  • Playtest and give detailed feedback on your game, with suggestions on how to improve the design, narrative and gameplay;
  • Write for any other creative writing job, etc...

Please send me a message on my discord (GabeMalk#8555) if you're interested in working with me!

Cheers!

Thank you! I always try to make the sassy dialogue an option haha glad you liked it!

Cute and fun game, loved the art! :)

Hey, thank you very much! We appreciate your kind words :)

Glad someone finally got the reference lol

Very cool concept! This can and should really be expanded. My only criticism is that he ai can sometimes be too easy, it piratically killed itself the first time I played it. Great game!

"Varying levels of gravity and frustration" is a great description lol cool game!

Great game! Love the concept and the art, just wish it had more levels.

Awesome game, I just wish there was an infinite lives option

Well, it's working now lol took some time.

It takes sometime xD
Soon it'll be fixed
