Hey folks, I have been working on my own web based word game. Here is the basic gyst.
It is an infinite, persistent, shared word-building game (think Scrabble), but the board never resets and every tile anyone's ever placed stays forever, so it's one continuously growing world the whole group builds together over weeks and months rather than a fresh game each round. You get a hand of letters daily to and can make one move per day. You can place on certain tiles and try to meet a daily theme for bonus points, swap out bad letters, and climb leaderboards for score, streak, longest word, etc. Browser-based, playable on desktop and mobile.
The problem I'm facing now is finding a really nice name for it. I've currently called it Lexisprawl (The greek word "Lexis" and the "sprawling" nature of the game). But after a few days it hasn't really caught on for me. I'd love to hear what your suggestions are.
