Pretty pun platformer, and very well presented! Adding a jump sound and a different sprite whilst jumping and I think the game would feel quite polished! There was a good variety of mechanics, and I really like that the game is based around having a chance to do a level carefully first, and then having to speed-run it on the way back.

A bit later in the game I found the time to rush back a bit too short for the complexity of the level, but in a lot of instances the balancing was just right.

Some bits of feedback:

- The music is really repetitve, and grew frustrating for me rather than complementary. Something with a bit more length and energy, given the comedy of the setup, would be great.

- It's not always easy to see which things can be jumped on and which can't. The picture frames in early levels at times resemble the outlines of jumpable platforms, but aren't. I think it would be good to better communicate what is solid and what isn't, either by changing the outline colour on non-interactable background elements to something that isn't black, or giving the level more depth by making the whole background object appear more faded.

The art style and concept are really cute, the intro made me smile, it was so charming! And it does a great job at communicating the stakes and the objective.

Great work!

Good game, jump feels good, nice graphics and controller support as well.

Cute game and I was expecting a honk and was not disappointed :D

Solid platforms and the time to go back is great to go slow first and then rushing all the way back.

Good job!

Solid! Only complaint was the visual language of what and whatnot is an platform

I'm amazed at how many levels you were able to make in just 9 days (and without a team!!)

The controls were easy to pick up, however I personally prefer to play platformers with the arrow keys, so having those as an option would've been nice

You kinda have to figure out what is solid ground and what isn't (because even the background assets have black outlines), which was weird at first. After the second level, however, I realised it adds a second layer to the game? 🤔🤔Each level can be divided into a recon phase and an escape phase, kinda like Pizza Tower. The recon phase is important because as you progress through the level you take mental notes of which objects are solid and which ones aren't. You need the solid ones to go up and/or do the platforming sections, but you also need the non-solid ones to get down faster during the escape phase. It kept me sharp! I don't think I've ever seen background assets designed like this on purpose but it was a very clever decision

Damn, you managed to create a really polished game with multiple levels in just 9 days.  Amazing work!

Cute game, a lot more levels in it than I thought there would be.

A nice ramping of difficulty, I would often go through a level and think about what you could have done to add some challenge and then the next level would have some variation of something I thought of.

Only nitpick I had was that the small windows kinda blend with the other objects so I thought they were also platforms.

Nice work

My favourite game I've played so far! Really really really fun

Some things I particularly liked:

  •  Controller support
  • Artstyle was amazing
  • The number of levels you made is seriously impressive, especially considering they are all well-designed and thought out
  • Controls were intuitive
  • Story is really cute

Some things I thought could be improved:

  • Sometimes the goose would jitter a little when moving; if you don't already have physics interpolation on that might help
  • At points I thought the goose's hitbox could be made a little less tall to avoid hitting my head (but of course its hard to balance difficulty vs frustration)
  • I think a speedrun timer would be a really good addition
  • It would be nice to be able to navigate the menus with controller (you just need one of the buttons to call `grab_focus()` when you make the menu visible; godot automatically handles the rest)

Thank You! i hadn't even thought about navigating menus with controller, and the gooses hitbox was a bit funny because of the shape of the goose, hopefully it didn't cause too much trouble! :]

Such a cute platformer. I love the pixel art, and the story is so sweet! Great job having so many levels as well, I was always pleasantly surprised when it kept going! Nice work :)

It’s short but very well executed. Game feels good to play! I especially like the yellow arrows in some levels that help guide the player.

I hope the other people who made a platformer play this and find out what a short and fun platforming game should play like.

Absolutely adorable!

Great art style and very tight controls! Snappy and responsive, very fun do jump across many sequential gaps. Also, surprising amount of levels for a jam submission. This could have been a full game!

Maybe my only suggestions would be that you get different gifts each level? So instead of 10 purses, you grab maybe a purse, a hat, glasses, and so on. But I know that would have been a lot of extra art, so it's not a bad thing.

Great job! Congrats!

Played through it all :) Very cute platformer with a nice twist with the timer and having to go back through the level. Made it very interesting. Nice job! Thanks for making and sharing it :)

Played through the game! I liked that you created an ending where you can see all 10 bags.  The House has a very weird vide. I felt like I was stuck in a liminal space at some point haha
