Welcome to the Godot Wild Jam, which starts the second Friday of every month. Whether you're a person who likes to go wild, a casual game developer, a Godot fan, or you just stumbled upon the Godot Engine recently and would like to have a go at it, then this is the event for you.

Closes 1 day before Jam kickoff
Starts on the 2nd Friday of every month at 4 PM (in New York City)
Lasts for 9 full days
Lasts for 1 hour after the jam ends
Lasts for 1 week

Wildcards are optional challenges in addition to the theme. Pick one, none, or all — it's up to you!
Wildcards are not intended to affect ratings, so please don't consider them when rating games!
If you want to include the wildcard images in your game, they will be available in this Google Drive via Wildcards -> GWJ #XX.

Your submission has to be made by you, for the jam, in Godot.
Submissions may be removed at the sole discretion of the organizers.

If there's an issue with your submission, please open a ticket via #faq-and-support on the GWJ Discord. You can also create a topic in this jam's Community tab, but note that we cannot help you with critical bug fixes outside of Discord.
Late Submission tickets made within 2 hours after the deadline will be accepted. If you miss the deadline, please open a ticket as soon as possible.
Critical Bug Fix tickets made within 24 hours after the deadline will be considered. If you find a game-breaking bug in your game, open a ticket as soon as possible, and you may be allowed to fix it. These tickets are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but some examples of game-breaking bugs include: the level does not load, the enemies are invulnerable, the goal is unreachable. If you're in doubt, feel free to open a ticket and we will evaluate it. The sooner the better!

When is the jam?
The jam always starts on the second Friday of every month.
Do I have to do everything myself?
Not at all! If you want to use public domain assets, that's entirely fine. And we encourage jammers to team up, too!
Can I use generative AI?
No.
Can I use stuff I've already made?
To an extent. The spirit of the jam is to make something new, not rejig an existing game to fit the criteria.
Can I submit to multiple jams?
As long as your submission was clearly made for this jam, we will accept it. However, submitting to multiple jams is often a sign of spam, so don't go overboard.
Can I update the game during the voting period?
No, the game files are locking during the voting period. If you need to fix a game-breaking issue, see "Help!" above.
Can I update the game page during the voting period?
Yes, you are free to update the game page at any time, including the thumbnail, screenshots, description, and more. Only the game files are locked during voting.

We believe that accessibility in video games is an important component to creating a great game. Here's a great article on why accessibility matters. We encourage teams to use the Accessibility Guidelines Basic List and check off features as they develop their game. You can view the full accessibility guidelines here.

Jammers will be judging each others' games on the following:
