Without going into a list of things and sounding like im telling you what to do, the scope is kinda an arbitrary thing. How much you literally can do in a week is the theoretical maximum scope and what you chose to do is the actual game scope. If you think of an idea bigger than what you can do in a week, you wont finish, and if you have an idea smaller than what you can do in a week, what do you do with the time you have to work on the project?
Theres some more practical tips like make a single screen or single level game, or start with a easy to make player controller and then find the first thing you can do thats on theme for the game. Use free assets for things you dont want to make. I dont like making music so i team up or find free to use music online for my games.

Take it easy, and try to make sure you finish something. Learning to make a project in the scope of a game jam timeline is a skill.
If you haven't made a game before, or haven't used Godot before, I would start doing tutorials now before the jam starts.  Learn how to make a platformer  now, and when the jam starts, make a new project thats on theme and you won't have to learn how to do something for the first time ever during the jam

Really cool style in this game

It really is a satisfying loop, i got 40 presents in and realized that I was in a meditative state.

Some sort of highlight or confirmation for being on target is going into a post Jam patch note

Very nice. I find the last level could use some minor adjustments but you know how Jam time gets like

I hope the other people who made a platformer play this and find out what a short and fun platforming game should play like.

Nope, did you play your game in the browser yet?

Good work! I would love to see zombie kills giving you points or a way to balance the game around actually using the turrets to stop them.

I like the idea. Though I felt i was just watching a simulation waiting for a choice, there's a lot of parts of your game i'm not very clear on or sure about. I can see how the game loop is appealing, pushing and trying to influence the spread of your sickness is really fun.

10/10 no notes

Absolutely locked in the third day for that retirement

I like that idea, I'll note it in a post-Jam patch

Thanks! good looking end screen!

Nice stuff, I like the idea of stealing jump and steal power to navigate. Clear and efficient concept.

I got you yo

I like the movement system in that game fr

Okay okay, I can dig this one. I could say something about the scaling in the web browser being a bit wonky or taking some time to get the movement/stealth mechanics. I like the vision.

Hey sure!

where da game?

It took me a moment to find the game loop, but I had a lot of fun when I did. I wanted to upgrade everything forever and was ready to play another set of levels/next world, so you captured the essence really well.

Seems like the web version keeps freezing really bad for me when I try to start the level.

I like the look of this one. Took me a bit to realize how helpful the tornadoes could be. The menus are snappy and clean.

But you should be okay with a download release, It may not get as much traffic/plays

"

Godot 4 and SharedArrayBuffer: If using Godot 4, you may need to enable "SharedArrayBuffer support" in the itch.io embed options to allow multithreading, or ensure you are using Godot 4.3+ which supports single-threaded web exports."

I wanted to respect player time better in this game Jam, Its short and sweet.

I wanted to do more levels and gimmicks, but the 3 level structure is perfect for a game jam and gives players time to play and check out the other submissions.

Now this is a pack. Lovely work

Actually baller. I beat this game and would totally play more. Felt good to explore.

Outside player; Solid game; cute mechanics.

A nice stealth game, Its fun to play and looks great.

Its pretty cool to pin the ball against a corner and rack up a huge bounce count before kicking it into a goal.

Pretty cute, I like the translation of a mechanical game into this format.

Pretty solid look

This is pretty neat

I had a hard crash on the 2nd boss during its dying hit, on hard difficulty but other than that I really enjoy the game. Found it from youtube.

A rather fun experience honestly

Fun little potion brewing mechanics

I like the old school tower defense games and gave you a wishlist

A rather interesting project, I liked moving through the map in the 3D space surprisingly well
