Nice map art and art in general.

I like the song too.

The gameplay is was fun and hectic, just like really serving people!

oh ok I got it figured out.

double-jump acquired!

This is getting pretty tough!

great style.

umm... am I suppose to do something after I collect the gem thing?

Cool art style and mood.

As far as gameplay goes, it's in the vein of a 'frustrating' game, so you should have more forgiving checkpoints, like at each room shift.

Pretty solid jam game though

Creative and complete.  That's a high quality game jam.

Perfect little complete game with a story and a tutorial and gameplay and characters and a style. That was great!

I'm at 42%, but I don't know if I can keep going on! oh. I just let go of WASD, and now I'm CRUISNG. I'm at 100% already -- hello Kermit.

Obviously there is a lot left to do on the project.  Seems like it could be fun after some iteration.  I do like incremental games.

nice job on the art theme and the jam theme. Pretty fun dodging and shooting gameplay.

Solid jam game.

Wow

Very impressive jam.  the visuals are really polished and consistent. there is lore, and upgrades. it's a pretty solid rogue-like.

All I'm doing for the first 10 minutes is deploy enter nav upgrade. there isn't really any strategy. It's kind of like an incremental game, but with a little bit of typing.

I really appreciate the keyboard only controls.

This game seems to have potential, if you can get some good game design going.

I liked playing Fetch!

That dang little pink bear girl keeps beating me and stealing my items.

Oh I like losing... "meanwhile somewhere on the island". That's interesting.

That's a really nicely drawn main character. Lots of good animations there.

This is a pretty elaborate platformer for a jam.

Pretty good. It's hard to make too many comments on a jam game that aren't obvious, like add a message telling you to dash through iron, etc.

Does it connect to the theme?

I like the cinematic aspect ratio.

Nice map. You really seem to know what you're doing when it comes to programming.

Also some of the pixel art is really nice. Like the bloody door and game over sword.

The battling is pretty confusing.  Is it all chance-based? I see that one color trumps the other, but do I really have any say in which color I pick?  If I buff  a color, should I just keep it on that color and hope their spin lands on one that opposite color?

This seems like a great mechanic to explore for a game jam. What do you think? Could you make a whole game out of the spinning and matching?

Hehe.

I liked the dad's voice.

I used to play skateboarding on the roadside powerlines and houses.

oh cool. you're a legit youtube dude!

Yeah being aware of all these specific and tricky algorithms, and then applying them to gamedev comes with wisdom.  I need to start a some kind of cheat-sheet collection  archive.

I'll definitely add  Binary space partitioning, delaunay's triangulation, and minimum spanning tree to that list.

This game is tough! But it has pretty interesting game design.

Nice isometric art too

I went full forest strat and was loaded with provisions.

Freaking judgmental crystal turning me to dust

Ah this time the crystal wasn't so harsh when I showed up with a whopping 43 locations.

Cool art style. Interesting gameplay.

What's the programming ideas behind making web of location connected to each other like that?

I made it to the moon!
Alright.

That was pretty fun. I dodged, I Rocketed, I collected falling fuel.

Hehe.

I like the idea of taking a break from space travel to go holo-fishing.  Any game that has multiple views and gameplay modes is a win in my book.

Really nice Itch page.

How'd you make the gif pop out?

I never really knew what I was doing aside from clicking higher or lower, but the sfx and tweening and feedback kept me playing all the way until the end.  Cool game.

Great game!

The grapple mechanic took a bit to figure out, but once I just held down K and let it go, it became pretty fun.

I really like the progression and unlocking of mechanics.

This was a cool mini metroidvania.

Serviceable art and theme, but nothing noteworthy. Decent sound and music. However excellent platforming gameplay and design.

Also great ending screen.

fully voice acted! wow.

also it's not bad voice acting!

man, the platforming is tough and often frustrating though!

I think you nailed a lot of the themes. The directional slow-jumping ball thing is a fun mechanic.

Crazy arty style.

Pretty interesting overall, but the gameplay was too difficult for me.

I think I got to the end.

Pretty good on-theme premise.

Great music/sfx. Especially the first passenger's song and voice.

Cool art style.

2 camera views!

Fun driving controls, if not simple.

The game really hinges on the characters your driving around. I didn't really connect or empathize with anyone. That's hard to do in just a few sentences. But I like the idea of shuttling the dead towards their ultimate fate, while asking some questions to decide what that fate should be.

hehe. fun shmup.

The shadow adds a lot.  I like the art style.

How'd you program the timing of the enemies?

excellent presentation! great sound design and tutorial. However I'm still mostly confused on what I'm suppose to be doing and how the tiles all work together.  Also sometimes I can click the bouncing icon above a tile, and sometimes I cannot. I think I'm getting it though -- I need to have that style of card selected to click the bouncing icon and gather its rewards.

Ok. I've tried a dozen times and I cannot beat it!

Seemingly no bugs, great style, interesting gameplay, on-theme; this is a  high-quality game jam!

Cool art/presentation.

Kind of an interesting concept -- walk and write your own story. It's all imagination, which is good to use.

Seems pretty on-theme.

memory match game

memory match game.

I spent some time trying to get the perfect work for many of the battles.

Good spin on the spelling game.

Not quite sure what I'm supposed to be doing, but it seems like it could be interesting.

Good suggestions.

Yeah I had lots of plans for upgrades. I think there is a lot of potential for them on bigger boards to make for exciting chain reactions.

WOW! What an epic intro. I thought, oh this is a lot of text, but then as I kept reading, I got into the story.

I collected all the ingredients, killed a witch and several campers, and cured myself of the disease.
Not sure what the hunting party was tryin to do... they were close but never went in for the attack.

Cool premise and great writing.

Great pixel art style and consistency. Excellent use of shaders, and thanks for sharing them!

The gameplay is a little unresponsive and could feel better, but I think there is some potential for a big of a bigger game with this -- towns, upgrades, blah blah you know.

Pretty good, especially the art.

Cute, silly, but with a attention to environmental awareness, if true!. Are there really acid spitting ants invading Australia? It's crazy enough there to be true.

Cohesive art and style.

Catch Nintendo-style song, but kind of got annoying after 5 years. Oops! I'm still singing it.

It sure did escalate in difficulty, but there were no upgrades or strategies to implement. Shallow and boring gameplay -- one ant, one crab, one track -- it's lacking variation.

Pretty polished overall though.

I was chasing the Frog, and that sucker led me into a trap! I got stuck in the swamp!

Awesome visual style. What's that shader??

Great, interesting, artsy opening.

Good SFXs. High Quality Game Jam Game!

I was unable to find all my ducks, and scare the birds. But aside from that I completed the cute side-quests.

Everything aside from the gameplay was stellar.

Thanks.
Yeah I glanced at the themes and then left for work that first day, and for some reason the Hidden In Plain Sight really stuck with me and then I thought that was the main theme. haha

Camera should Lead the player so we can see what's coming, or maybe vertical design instead of horizontal.

It's hard to get far!

Obviously upgrades and stuff would be fun.

i liked that the sounds weren't annoying.

the graphics were pretty cool and cohesive.

the level-up screen was too easy to accidently spam through.

Nice try!

I found the legendary treasure within 1 minute! I am so lucky!
For my second run...

LANDLOCKED! haha who built this boat here?

I like the idea of this game.  Managing your resources and exploring for treasures.

I think it has potential for a more refined and polished experience.

Very on-theme.

good job

I made it through a few puzzles, and then fell down an elevator. I woke in a cold, dark room and thought I was trapped, but then walked through the closed door; now I am unsure how to proceed.

I liked the few puzzles.  They're clear and simple enough that I never felt confused.

Crazy art style.

Decent sound.

Mildly connected to the theme.

Pretty good overall for a jam.

It could use more of an ending and clear goal.
