Campaign Mode Minesweeper! And with cute android girls, no less - be still my heart. There's an impressive amount of variety and just sheer content in here, and the unique boss mechanics are really interesting. I'm decent at Minesweeper, but I still found some of the bosses challenging (like the one that scrambles your numbers). Excellent take on a classic set of mechanics. I did feel that the horny parts and the gameplay parts were a little disconnected. (That is, the horny parts only exist to reward you for doing well at Minesweeper, they're not really integrated into the gameplay as such.) But they were both pretty cool by themselves, so I won't complain.
Wow, Slay the Spire but Minesweeper is not something I would've ever thought of, and honestly even if I had thought of it I don't know if I would've expected it to work, but it sure does! It had been a MINUTE since I had played MS and some of the logic strategies are still outside the grasp of my memory but it's super fun! The free start space is super smart since you have persistent lives, and the shop upgrades are really fun and well integrated. I got a bit smoked by the first boss I reached (the popup one, partially my fault for not realizing the prompts weren't case sensitive lol), but I'll definitely be going back to this one to see more! Really amazing how much you jammed in here and how well it all works.
Funnest game in this jam for sure, 100% my favorite in basically every aspect, really hope to see this become a full game after the jam is over...
I like minesweeper the shuffling boss was great, the power ups were nice. Oh I shoudl play multiple times for multiple bosses?
Very cool concept, the bosses are very interesting. I hardly know how to play minesweeper though, so I really struggled to get far. Beat 2 bosses, the popup one and the tile shuffling one. Lost to like 3 others before I stopped (That number randomization boss is hell for someone who doesn't know the strategy)
Though, it honestly doesn't feel worth it to do combats from a meta standpoint, I would always just go the path with the most ? tiles. The events don't really seem to have any risk aside from losing money, which is very much in abundance.
Is it even possible for that doll that gives you money when you get hurt to pay itself off? You only have 5 lives and it costs 50, so you'd need at least 2 extra lives for it to profit.
i cannot believe how many bosses there are omg. i am so here for spirelike minesweeper with bosses and items?? cool as hell
it seems fun, i wish i liked minesweeper, that's kind of a me problem though
I’m actually really into minesweeper and I played through and beat most of the bosses except for the pixelation one (which I had trouble decreasing the pixelation despite petting, might be a bug?). Really fun spin on minesweeper in combination to rogue-like progression. All the item references and fake ads were also very fun. Additionally, appreciated how much work went into the art and sex scenes!
I do wish there were some minesweeper QOL functions such as chording (which would helpful tool in speed challenges) and having a counter for how many bugs are theoretically left on the board after putting down flags, but on the other hand not having these functions also incentivized me to rely on items. I did really appreciate the lives system so that it didn’t feel terribly punishing to hit a virus after an accidental click or 50/50 guess!
I had alot of fun regardless though and liked uncovering all the different bosses! Overall impressive work, especially for a game jam game!
Bonzi Buddy being in Strawberry jam is slightly insane??
Kind of nuts this works as well as it does! Love that the first move is highlighted so you’re not punished off the bat, and the wide range of end bosses keeps things interesting - love you can also disable bosses you’ve defeated as well so you aren’t stuck re-rolling for the right ones. The relaxation scenes are super cute too, and I like the range of characters you can come across and the illustrations.
This definitely feels more like “a game with sex” than “a sex/porn game”; you could very easily remove any allusions to sex/kink and just have a very solid rogue like. I did have an issue with the Love Letter boss where the “fuck no” button spawned off screen, which made dying on that boss feel a bit bad. I did also wish the levels were a touch shorter - but that’s mainly because I want to gun to the end to see all the new boss mechanics!
This feels super polished for a game jam game, and definitely one of the most complete entries - the amount of people asking for a downloadable version really should point to how successful a game this is.
Was fun to play and read some of the relaxation scenes with the matching art to them. Seems optimal to pick a route early that has a lot of levels to get some money and then later on after visiting the shop pick a path with the most purple nodes to avoid playing as much as possible to save time and lives which is fine i guess.
The "Idiot" boss seems impossible and petting removes the faces way too slowly to get through the boss but maybe i'm just bad at memorizing numbers.
I messed up a lot of simple minesweeper patterns while playing so i probably should study those agian if i want to get good enough to play some of these bosses
Let me first say I am trying VERY hard to remain objective given a particular cameo. This is a fantastic little game. The events are funny, the writing in the erotic portion is nice, your art is gorgeous as always, and while i had to get
goodokay at minesweeper REAL fast it was well worth it. The boss i got [pop-up] was a stress nightmare and I LOVE it. This is for sure one I'm going to keep playing well after the jam. Also if there's an opportunity to have a windows version i'd adore that :>
I'm probably the only other person in this jam who has ever made a minesweeper game with boss battles, so I am personally delighted by how different your approach to the concept is and how creative you got with the bosses! The story sections are very rewarding to get, the writing and art are lovely, and text effects make them feel more dynamic! I love the sounds and music choices, and how effectively they're used to make the action feel fully frantic when things get intense. Really amazing work, I'll try to play more of it after the jam ratings are done to see what other bosses and events the game has to offer! Please add a downloadable version, I'd like to give this game a permanent home on my PC.
I'm amazed that you managed to make a Minesweeper Roguelike work. The gameplay was very smooth, although I would have appreciated a handful of sounds for when you correctly or incorrectly click on tiles. I was also brutalized by the first boss: I got the pop-up boss and that was a NIGHTMARE. Forcing your players to type under stress is not the worst idea, but it completely took me off the game. Could I suggest you instead offer 2 or 3 options to reply with? That way the player will keep using only the mouse and you are still forced to quick-read the pop-ups to know what to click.
Other than that, the game works well and it got me quite hooked. Well done!
That one is by far the hardest boss out of the 9, you got really unlucky, Maybe I will make it easier unfortunately balancing something like this when you are a quick typer is a bit difficult.
I rather liked this game. I some how managed to beat one of the bosses with an item that formed a "negative synergy" with it's ability. Tho, it did keep that fight on edge the whole time. Also, I really like that the game highlights the first move you should make. I really liked that. Solid idea there to prevent the possibility of "first move cost you a life". I did find items which activate at the start can use up that first move. Specific example is the "clear the four corners" when one of the corners is the starting square.
Very complete game, with nice writing and addictive gameplay
YES! More of this please! :D
A really stylish take on Minesweeper. The items are very useful, the events are varied and the artstyle is really cute. Good job :)
I am blown away by how much content this game has. Oozing with style, great art, and I wish I sucked less at Minesweeper under pressure so I could beat even one boss, gaahhh Loved it!
I like the music selection and the art is very good!
There are some typos in the "how to play" screen. Unless that's intentional and a virus did it. In that case, that's cool!
Ohmygod Spamtoooooon!
I like the petting mechanic and how it can affect gameplay sometimes.
I think the phone for the AI ASSistance doesn't work... oh, wait, that's the joke. I get it! That's funny!
The love letter boss is maybe a bit too difficult for my taste, or maybe I just need to practice some more. I got to Bonzi and the love letter.
Overall I really like it! Congratulations on finishing it!
You really can make anything a roguelike if you try hard enough! I'm amazed by the concept, and how well it works, this already seems incredibly polished and very well made. Difficult but rewarding. Excited to continue trying for all the scenes and bosses!
