I really like how this game was made using simple yet elegant solutions. I was impressed with the UI animations, I love seeing how they were achieved. I might have to steal your techniques!

I love the simplicity and ingenuity of the dialog system.

Thank you! We're glad you like it! <3

Thanks! :D

Good thing you didn't cancel it! It's a charming game/toy/experiment already. Good luck working in the new versions!

I got scared when I double-clicked the executable and it gave me an error (The screenshots made me really interested in playing this), but then I found the instructions to make it work!

Is the cursor actually just a player controller disguised as a cursor? That's an inventive solution for what I imagine are the limitations of RPG Maker 03! But I wish I could move the cursor in diagonal directions too (Or, well, use the mouse).

Ok, this looks awesome. I really love the visual style of this game. I do think that the font is a little hard to read, though (But I got used to it). (Maybe instead of a shadow, I would have used an outline? I don't know).

I like the characters a lot. I had a friend that used to grow weed in his bathroom. Haven't seem him in a while. He had a band and was cool.

But, yeah, I really like the characters and would love to hang out with them more. I kind of fell in love with them during the little while we had to share. I usually have little patience for long sections of just dialogue, but I guess this was so well written and intriguing that I was never bored. There are interesting dramatic questions and conflict. I just want to discover more about everybody and see what happens with the bar. Really, what happens to the people that work there.

The music was really really nice. It goes very well with the dialog and locations and has personality. I found the mp3s in the music folder son now I can hear it while I do chores or code my own game lol.

I hope this story continues!!!

I'm glad someone noticed the special case when Marilulu decides to get off by herself, hahaha!

Thanks! We are still working on it so, yes, the idea is to make a metroidvania kind of thing, with different abilities for some special fusions.

I'm happy you liked it! :D

Oh, after the death animation! Ok, I'll add to the list of features to add!

Thanks a lot!! I'm really glad you loved it! :D

We are still working on this and we plan to add a gallery, more sounds and music!

Just one question! What do you mean by a respawn after the animation?

This was pretty great. I liked the characters and writing in general; world building was, in my opinion, really well done. I like how the NSFW aspect is presented and well justified: it feels like an integral part of the mechanics of the game and the story. It's all really nice. Congratulations!

The in-game animations are well done, the full screen illustrations, and the graphics in general, are all really charming. I love the character portraits!

The "there was a pretty bad jam" dialogue section is so ingenious and funny to explain why the ship is empty. I liked the humor, and even though the game is funny, you can still feel there are serious themes being explored.

The mechanics of the combat sections of the game were interesting and well realized, I think. It would be nice to see this expanded in future versions.

There's a lot of polish here!

Now some critiques / suggestions:

The font chosen is a bit hard to read, at least for me.

I feel like maybe the initial dialogue with Eelili gives too much exposition at once. It is narratively justified, as you are controlling an amnesiac — however, I feel it is too much information to absorb at once, and it would be better to learn more of it progressively through the game.

Also, I felt like some things could be explained in a more concise manner, especially during the tutorial. Maybe it's just me, though! And, again, this doesn't mean I didn't like the writing, which I did! And, it's also all optional dialog, and you can read it at your own pace, so that's good.

I also think that the text for the cutscenes maybe went a bit too fast for me (I'm kind of a slow reader). I would have preferred to be able to click or press a button to move to the next text, instead of it being dependent on a timer.

But, overall, really great and ambitious project! I would love to spend more time with the characters and discover the rest of the story!

I didn't think about it while deciding the control scheme, but you are right: it's great for people with cats!

We are planning on features for a post-jam version, and we are thinking about what kind of music we want to include, now that we're gonna have more time!

I'm the programmer writing now, and when I got the art to put in the game, that was my same reaction: "DITHERING!" I really love what Fluffy, my artist friend, made for the game!

I think I'm also gonna include a map for the next version, so you can see where are the Wetlanders you already got!

I'm really happy you liked it and want to find the ones you missed! We are gonna keep working on it! (And I hope you keep working on your game, it's really cool!)

It's the first time I play a game in which I can get a character to cum by holding hands, and I think that's a very sweet concept.

I love that whenever you escape, your character uses different random objects, implying they had to solve some kind of classic old adventure game puzzle (Or at least that's my interpretation!).

I also really like the drawings, even if they're just sketches for now! I like the story and the main character's motivation! The concept is cool and fun and I like how I can combine actions using different parts of my character's body and parts of the other character's bodies.

It was really fun! I would love to see this continued!

Thanks! We are really glad you liked it!

My favorite is the green one, hehehe~ (But I also really like the angle for the light orange one)

We are still working on this! We are already planning what to include in the next version :D

It had a story. It had animation. It's all we need.

Thanks for making me laugh! That was funny.

And... 69 MB. Nice. Very nice.

Hi! We are so happy you liked it! And so glad you reached the "end" haha!

Yes, I wanted to include a map, but I didn't have enough time to code it. But surely the game it's gonna have one in a post-jam version!

Reminds me of going fishing with my dad before he abandoned us. It was exactly like this!

I really liked the 3d models; the designs are really cute! I also really liked the little song that plays while catching the fish.

It may just be that my computer is already a bit old, or that I played the web version, but I find that loading between the shop and the rest of the ship takes a bit long; it's just a couple of seconds until the game loads the new scene, but it affects the flow of the game.

Also, if I had to be extra critical I’d say that the game doesn't present much variety. But that's ok for a first game and a Jam game. The game is still kinky and fun!

Congratulations on your first game! I enjoyed it!

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked the way I designed the control scheme to be playable with just one hand, just in case the player wants to have the other hand free to do something else (like grab a coffee, draw a map for the cave, or something innocent like that).

I think the sound design could use some work too. I like the idea of having "8-bit sounds", as I think it goes well with the aesthetics. But it still needs music, maybe some ambient sounds.

The initial idea was to have a more in-depth fusing mechanic, allowing the player to fuse with different characters to gain their abilities, but we ran out of time, so only the checkpoints were implemented. But we want to start adding all that for future versions! Our idea is to start with a Trent-Marilulu fusion (Trent is the mouse). In this state, the player should be able to access places only a small creature could get into, or maybe even go through bar doors.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!!!

Thanks! I stole that wall hang mechanic and some ideas from a game called Knytt, to be honest. But I spent a lot of time implementing it and testing it.

I decided to make that vertical section a bit longer, as it is the last section of the game before reaching the end. And I almost didn't add that last checkpoint at the top! But I think that would have been too... evil, haha!

I love our little jester so much. Each time Fluffy, the artist, sent me new art for her animations, I got so happy!

Thanks again for playing! I'm really glad you liked it!

Hi Bawdy! Thanks for playing!

Yes, I wanted to include a map, but I didn't have time to finish it! We'll probably add it when we release a new version of the game after voting is over.

Actually, you can totally change your current checkpoint! Every time you interact with one of the Wetlanders, they become the active checkpoint! But in this version you can only see the special animation the first time you encounter them. I think I will also change that for the next version, including the possibility to, well, have sex with them again if you want to— possibly after asking the player if they want to see it again.

Thank you again for playing, and for the review! :D

Thanks a lot! I'm happy you liked it!

I'm glad you enjoyed the dialog. It was one of the last things I added to the game, and I didn't have a lot of time to write it, but I tried to give each of the characters some personality.

I debated with myself whether I should leave some kind of warning before getting to Trent, the mouse, but I ended up deciding that it would add "re-play value" if the player had to do a second run of the game knowing to find all the Wetlanders first. Probably that was not the best move. Maybe I could simply have made him say something like "Hey, I'm the end of the game! So... did you unchain all of the other guys before getting to me?". I suppose I didn't want to break the immersion by breaking the 4th wall like that... which I totally did anyway by explicitly stating the end was a cliffhanger, oops.

Anyway, the original idea was that the player was going to be able to play as a Marilulu-Trent fusion and discover new sections of the cave only accessible by using that small form. But I was running out of time and couldn't implement that. It's something that we have planned for a bigger version of the game, though!

Oh, also, the map is another thing I cut for time. But I want to add one, specially for when the cave gets bigger.

Again, thanks for your review and feedback! ❤️

Very Kinky!

I had fun! I like the voices of the characters. It's really funny when they leave the store with a "fuck!" and the sounds they make when satisfied are cute.

I like how you have to use your free time to discover recipes; that they are a result of experimentation. I like that you have to manage your limited "inventory" space and if you make extra potions you have to leave them lying around and can make a mess that obstructs your ability to click the books.

I do think the game is a bit too easy; there are moments in which you don't have much to do but wait. Maybe the penalty for letting one client go unattended could be higher; I find that I can let many of them go and advance anyway to the next day with no real issues, with enough money and reputation.

Anyway, really nice and fun game!

Thanks! Even tough I designed the cave while crunching and frankly losing my mind a little, I'm so glad it wasn't too difficult.

The automatic respawn after the dead animation could be a good idea. I'm gonna try adding it for the next version of the game, and see how it feels. But honestly I like that in this version you die and remain dead on screen until you press a button, like in the first Prince of Persia (if I remember correctly). But if it makes the flow better, I could at least make an automatic respawn after she hits the floor and one second passes. I'm gonna see how that feels.

And yes, we wanted to make more use of the fusion mechanic. Originally, the idea was that you could fuse with Trent (the final character you encounter) and keep playing a bit more, and then be able to access places that are inaccesible for Marilulu in her usual form. But, alas! we ran out of time.

We are gonna continue developing the game to add playable fusions which will grant different abilities to the player! But that after the voting period is done, and after some rest!

I'm super glad you enjoyed it! And thanks a lot for the feedback!!! ❤️

That's an invaluable document! You could print it and frame it! It would certainly start interesting conversations lol

The game looks really good! But it makes me sad to kill the slime girls. Also, whenever I'm defeated by them I can't find a way to reset the game; I can only refresh the page to start again. The animation is very nice though!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Yippieeeeee!

I liked the story and its themes (I love when kinky games are also social critiques or reflections of what's currently happening in the world). And the pilot-ship dynamic was fun and interesting. I really liked how you incorporated the jam's theme into the story!

This was so funny. I didn't expect to burst out laughing, but when the typing got more intense, I did.

I really liked the sound design. When I first heard the typing, I didn't interpret it as typing at all, not until it got a little more intense and I figured out what was happening. I think that intentional misdirection is really smart. I love how you made typing sound like something else, specially when you get to send the "deliverable".

I really liked the writing. The lack of graphics was a total advantage here. It not only allowed me to fill in the gaps with my own imagination, but that play with the ambiguity of what's really going on was only possible with just text and sound.

Hi! Fefi here! Yes, actually the first Knytt game was a big influence on the design!

Thanks for playing the game and I'm glad you found all the Wetlanders! :D

Thanks a lot! We are super happy you liked it! :D

To see someone think it's inspiring work makes all the effort worth it ^u^

Thanks a lot! we're really happy you enjoyed it! :D

I like the music selection and the art is very good!

There are some typos in the "how to play" screen. Unless that's intentional and a virus did it. In that case, that's cool!

Ohmygod Spamtoooooon!

I like the petting mechanic and how it can affect gameplay sometimes.

I think the phone for the AI ASSistance doesn't work... oh, wait, that's the joke. I get it! That's funny!

The love letter boss is maybe a bit too difficult for my taste, or maybe I just need to practice some more. I got to Bonzi and the love letter.

Overall I really like it! Congratulations on finishing it!

I'm very happy you found it fun!

The idea is to continue it. We want to include more playable characters planned for future versions (we intend to explore more the idea of fusing with other characters to acquire new abilities). All of this, of course, after the jam ends!

Hi! Thanks a lot! I'm very happy you like the art! I'm the programmer writing, but I'll show your comment to the game's artist right now! I'm really happy how all of this turned out. Any time she sent me art to include in the game I couldn't believe how cool it looked!

Well, actually, some of the gameplay art is also mine. But she did all the fullscreen animations!

Oh, I'm very sorry! Did Marilulu get stuck in the wall after trying to walk off the head of the rat? That should be fixed already! I'm sorry about that! If the problem persist, please tell me and I'll fix it :)

(I'll tell you a secret: If you want to get to him again very fast, you can press shift and click anywhere to "teleport". I used this to debug the game but left it in as a little cheat code. Please don't abuse this and don't tell anyone!)
