Out of all the games I've played during this game jam, I've spent the most time with this one. It's really amazing what was achieved in such a short amount of time! Tho the 2nd puzzle got me stuck for a while, maybe more hints in the cmd would have helped

Cool game, I've been avoiding playing it for a while since I thought it would just be regular VN, but the game experience is incredible! GJ!

Nice game. Will have to complete it later, but I am curious how many puzzles are present.

Very cool VN! Completely didn't expect that fakeout when quitting the game. The glitchy visual effects were nice and that you made extra small project (the one with the lights sequence) is also quite cool. Good work!

This game is incredible! I've never played one of these "meta" VNs before, and this was a great first one to play. I loved the glitchy effect that plays before the "real" game starts. The puzzles were fun, although I admit I did need help with the cmd part. I enjoyed Lilly's dialogue, and felt bad for her fate. It's very impressive that you made the game in five days! Incredible job to the team!

okay so sadly i did break the game towards the end i accidently opened the game again rather than deleting it or somthing and now i cant porgress that being said, THIS GAME IS AMAZING 10/10 PHENOMINAL!!

Why are you doing this to me, Golden! Cute anime girl is innocent!

Jokes aside, really well done in making this game! It's kind of surprising you've been able to pull this off with this little amount of time. I am also not going to complain about not having a web build, as some effects just never worked there. The plot is execellent yet I would expect some fight back during the end. Some puzzles (esp the second one) are a bit hard to figure out, but at least the hints are there. This reminds me of some Japanese VN with a similar plot twist, and I'd say super well done in making this as a jam game!

Other things I like:

  • Lilly is super cute
  • Some nice fourth wall breaking
  • Finally plot twist is amazing
  • Nearly fully created OS and UI, draggable and resizable windows. I tried to do that once, and it took ages to get right

Suggestions:

  • For the 2nd puzzle specifically, I think it would be better to accept multiple answers instead of the single one e.g. using the file name instead (I tried not to spoil the answer, so it might be a bit vague)
  • Some more emotional buildup before the final scene would make the ending much more impactful

That ending twist was a great touch, I didn’t see it coming!

It was well built up and made the experience memorable.
Awesome job!
If you’re exploring other games, I’d appreciate it if you gave ours a try too.

I usually don't play visual novels but this really surprised me. At the start I was confused of why it was so short but what came after was not expected...
The puzzels were wonderful, however they weren't straight forward and needed help to finish them.
Overall well made!

Wow, I’m usually not a huge fan of visual novels, but this twist is incredible.

I’m really impressed by how much you managed to create in just one week, the level of polish is honestly amazing. The puzzles are challenging, and the story is truly captivating.

Great job!

Wow, didn't expect this. Was really fun all the way until I got stuck on the command puzzle. Had to check the comments here to solve that. But super unique game, good job!

Genuinely one of the best game jam entries I have ever played.

Spoiler Warning:

I'm not fully done as I am stuck on the puzzle after logging in and getting admin but the game has made me more locked into a game then ever before. I think the puzzles are bit difficult but I am going to keep coming back until I figure it out. Amazing job guys!

Just finished, absolutely amazing!

No spoilers, but dude, this has to be one of the best game jam entries I have ever played, this game surprises me in every single imaginable way. Also, nice thumbnail ;)

Wow that was realy cool! I did not expect that. But I didn't realy know what I had to do on the computerscreen.

One of the best jam entries I played ever. It could be a paid game if it wasn't as short.

(spoilers incoming)

Only drawback is that the puzzles were not super intuitive. The QR code was too small to scan, I had to try several times, I started to think that it was fake. And the command lines error messages should have been "permission denied" and "unknown user" or somethething like that, so the player could understand that they were in the right track.

The end was a bit unsettling. Or maybe I missed an alternative ending and just got the bad one.

This was amazing. Should have seen my face when the game "exited" for the first time. Loved all the details in the OS as well. It was very satisfying to figure out the QR code puzzle up to the light pattern on my own, and the story overall really left me wishing it would continue. Great work!

Just so you know, the game is finished, so unless you've seen the credits, there is more :)

I suppose I got really stuck then, but it was really hard to tell if there was more to it. I tried looking through the comments to figure out if it just cuts off, but didn't find any information, so I didn't want to waste time. Thanks for letting me know. I'll keep looking.

Amazing work! I really like how well thought out this game is with the extra layer of gameplay. I couldn’t get through all the puzzles but I did enjoy what I’ve played so far!
