Bedankt!

Thank you, I’m glad you seem to be the perfect target audience for this game! :)

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thank you! They are from the Ovani Inventory Sound FX Pack Vol. 2, in fact most sounds of the game are from Ovani packs. The UI sounds specifically are Item Accessory C and Item Weapon A.

Mooie game! Ik vind de entourage van het thema erg goed gelukt, een begraafplaats is letterlijk en figuurlijk vervallen.

Interessant concept dat aansluit bij het thema, erg leuk gemaakt in de korte tijd die je hieraan hebt besteed!

I suppose a combination of keeping the scope small and re-using UI code from my other projects :D

Thanks for the comment! You can indeed put excess orbs back into the cores. It is listed in the tutorial but maybe not very clear, and it might be a bit too much text, haha!

…I completely missed the broken handle in front. Once I found that it was easy to finish up the rest. The inventory button still doesn’t work but at least the game is finishable!

I’m not running in admin mode, but when I do run launcher.bat in admin mode, the window briefly flashes and closes again, so that seems to be working even less.

Great mechanics and great art direction!

A really nice aesthetic you’ve managed to capture! I really like the combi of pixel art and PSX-looking 3D graphics. The music also fits really well!

I like the game! It’s very small scoped and the art does fit nice with the theme you went for, even though it is technically placeholder art. The music was calming while I was frustrating in the third room. Overall nice work!

The game has a really nice feel! The music fits well with the world. I got stuck after meeting the second creature because i fell down the pit where the enemy chase was and had to redo the section twice before I gave up. An extra checkpoint or a way to get up there again after meeting the second one would have been a nice addition.

Nice work! I had a bit of trouble with shooting the shadows and I lost all of my health before reaching the end of the second cave multiple times. The visuals and audio are really nice!

The game for sure looks interesting. I also couldn’t get past finding the toolbox because opening the inventory didn’t work as Kordesii also pointed out. I feel the camera feels a bit slow too. The aesthetics do look pleasing!

Good point about increasing the time before the first wave starts. If you know exactly what you’re doing it’s bearely enough time, but you’re right that it should probably be longer for first players.

Nice work and neatly scoped. It took me a few rounds that the green falling goo was giving damage to the amount of gold, but after that if was fun to play overall!

Nice game and impressive for a two-week game jam! I can really see where the inspiration came from!

For me the game starts, but nothing is displayed in the console screen except the cursor seeming to flicker around in the bottom. FMOD seems to be working fine as I can hear the rain and background music. I’m using Windows 11 23H2.

Nice little game and great work for a game jam! It took some time for me to figure out that defending seems to end your turn too, but overall nice work. I managed to get to level 7.

Thanks for your comment! I wanted to keep it simple so I didn’t implement a tower moving mechanic unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the music!

Thanks for the comment! You can actually drop orbs back in the corresponding cores when you harvested a wrong one, so you could technically save yourself in those situations. Sorry if this wasn’t clear from the tutorial!
