Wow, the story is incredible, and the music choices really elevate it. The sound design overall is very strong, and the atmosphere is superb.
Beautiful work!
Nice Portal-like atmosphere. The level design in the introduction scene is smooth and works really well. The core mechanic has clear potential, it’s just a bit of a shame we don’t get to see it explored more.
Small bug on the Windows version in 2K resolution: the intro and ending layouts don’t fully fit the screen.
The game feels very polished and the game feel is really satisfying. The transitions between the different worlds are well done, and the visual effects when the car hits obstacles make everything feel dynamic and alive.
That said, the game clearly lacks a strong objective. You just go through days without a real goal, and the money you earn doesn’t seem to serve any purpose. Maybe setting a fixed number of days, adding a score system based on delivery time and tips, and giving the player a score to beat could help keep players engaged. Being able to see all destinations at once and choose the route would also be a nice addition.
I would have also appreciated a bit more variety in the delivery mini-games.
Great job ! :)
I really enjoyed the cartoony visuals and the sound design. The little secrets hidden in the game design are a nice touch, and everything feels really juicy overall.
The ending could have been a bit clearer though. I wasn’t completely sure if it was truly the end or not (or is it ?).
Well done it was fun !
The mechanic is original and has real potential if the concept is pushed a bit further.
However, the controls feel a bit counterintuitive (fortunately the explanation video helps). The hitbox for interactable objects is also a bit small, which sometimes makes them hard to grab. Enemies seem a bit buggy as well, they disappear, reappear elsewhere, and go through walls, which can make you die a bit too easily.
I really like the atmosphere. The audio fit the mood, the visuals are nice, and the core idea of switching between multiple tasks that appear progressively is great. It creates a good sense of pressure and keeps the player engaged.
Unfortunately, it’s a bit hard to understand at the beginning. I was stuck for 5–6 minutes during the second mini-game because I didn’t realize I had to go back and replay the first one.
A few improvement ideas: in the first mini-game, auto-focusing the field would make it less tedious, since having to click on it every time is a bit annoying. In the second mini-game, the fact that you can still press keys after reaching 0% isn’t very clear. Maybe when a task reaches 0% (for all mini-games), the character could automatically leave the mini-game, like in the first or fifth one. That would feel more consistent and easier to understand.
Well done !
I really enjoyed the experience. The transition between the main menu and the game is very smooth, and the way portals are used for scene transitions is really well done. I also like the visual style a lot.
I found the levels with the stairs a bit confusing in terms of where to go, and I often fell off platforms there.
I found the hidden Qrcode
Well done !
Very good game! The pixel art looks great, the music blends perfectly with the overall tone, and the game feel is really satisfying. I’m honestly very impressed by what you managed to create in just one week.
On my first run, I felt a bit lost regarding some core concepts like turns and what exactly counts as a mine, a forest, or a village. A bit more textual clarification early on or tutorial might help.
From a gameplay perspective, the curse are very interesting to balance the game but a button to clearly display active curses would be useful so players don’t miss them. I also think there might be a small bug, as some points seem to be treated as curses but don’t have the corresponding icon.
Well done ! :)
Beautiful atmosphere, the pixel art is charming, and the audio fits the overall presentation very well. The narration is nicely done too.
The forest puzzle is original, but I didn’t understand it the first time because I wasn’t using headphones. Maybe a clearer pitch difference could make it more accessible in that case.
Great Job !
Good game! I really like the slightly weird visuals, and the character design is very well done.
I would maybe increase the contrast between the platforms and the background in the second world, as it’s sometimes not very clear. Hitting a wall can also feel a bit frustrating since the character stops very abruptly.
And well done on the online leaderboard!
The game feels very polished, and the visuals are really pleasant with lots of nice little details.
Maybe it’s just me, but I struggled a bit to understand how to interact with objects. I tried interacting with the chest areas, especially in the bone zone, and the bones disappeared (bug), so I thought I had done the right thing. I then tried the same thing everywhere without success before realizing it had to be done in the middle area.
Also, enemies sometimes spawn so close to the player that you take damage instantly. The ending also feels a bit abrupt.
That said, it’s a strong and enjoyable experience overall.
Nice little puzzle game! I liked the switch mechanic, it’s pretty fun to use. The pixel art is charming and the audio works well too.
I had a few moments of confusion though. I didn’t check the controls at first and didn’t understand how to get out of the cage, so a bit of in game tutorial on how switch characters would help. The end-of-level mechanics also aren’t very clear.
I didn’t fully understand how to solve the last puzzle with the doors, but I managed to “cheese” it by forcing my way through quickly.
Great visuals, and I really liked the small, seemingly “useless” color change feature. The interaction feedback is also very well done.
However, I got hard locked several times (unable to leave a room), which was frustrating. At least I would have liked to fully test the color feature.
Other than that, really great work!
Good game, and there’s quite a lot of content for something made in just one week. It might have been interesting to give the player more objectives besides just destroying enemy tanks.
I also found the constant respawns of bandits a bit frustrating, even after destroying the outposts. I lost some bases to bandits I didn’t even realize had respawned.
I really enjoyed the gameplay, it already feels quite well balanced from the few runs I played. The soundtrack fits the style of the game perfectly, and the overall presentation is very polished. I also loved the small details, like the text changing when you create special structures, it helps break the monotony in a nice way.
Adding a few subtle animations to the tiles could make them feel more alive. I also wasn’t able to create some of the special tiles and the key to get spoiler doesn’t seem to work on my French keyboard.
I appreciated the in-game explanations, but a more progressive tutorial as mention in another comment, introducing tiles step by step, could make it even better.
Nice game :)
The concept is cool and original, and it has real potential. I liked the piggy vibe too.
The game could use a bit more balance though, as it feels very dependent on your starting “Joker.” A bit more explanation on how you earn money would also be appreciated. In my first runs I had $1 after the first round, and in another I had $36 without really understanding why, which completely changes the game :).
The placement of elements on the scene also feels a bit too random at times, maybe adding a way to counterbalance that randomness could help.
But overall, good game!
Honestly, it’s really impressive for a first game. You can be proud of yourselves. We learned the same lesson ourselves (it’s our first game jam too): sometimes it’s better to scope smaller and have time to polish everything, rather than add lots of features and end up with something long but unclear.
That said, those features could always be added in a post-jam version if you decide to keep working on it 🙂
I really liked the intro animation and the character’s visual design, they both make a strong first impression. The concept of switching between two states is nice, but it could have been pushed further with more gameplay mechanics other than platform built around it.
The jump sometimes feels a bit unresponsive, maybe adding a small coyote time would help. The audio loop is also a bit short, which can make the experience slightly frustrating over time.
Still, nice work overall!
Nice story and a cool twist! It’s honestly impressive to have such a complete narrative for just one week of work.
Maybe it’s just me, but I would have appreciated a bit more feedback on the objectives after talking to the different NPCs. A clearer visualization of collectible items, and better feedback on what you’re carrying, would also help. I missed a few items or picked some up without even noticing, which left me a bit confused about what to do next.
But overall, great job!
I really like the 3D assets and the overall look of the game, as well as the visual effects of the different power-ups. The power-ups feel coherent with their effects, and I enjoy the balance between the gameplay bonus and the visual drawback. That said, the effects could have had a bit more impact on the level design, especially for the speed power-up.
I would have also appreciated a bit more juice and slightly smoother character controls.
Nice little Tetris-like game! I really liked the cohesive universe, especially the retro graphics and matching audio. The scoring system is a great idea.
I would have appreciated a small in-game explanation of what the player is supposed to do at the start. There’s also real potential to expand the concept with new rules or twists for puzzle game or a deck building balatro style game. Overall, cool game.
The gameplay is interesting, but the game feels pretty hard overall. A few smaller, less punishing levels at the start, with clearer explanations of the controls, would really help before jumping into a bigger challenge.
I also noticed a small bug: after dying in phase 1, the lights don’t reset, which makes it hard to see.
Still a cool concept!
I love the visual style and the audio, everything feels very cohesive and polished. I also really like that the whole game plays inside small windows; it’s not necessarily useful, but it’s a fun and charming idea. The addition of power-ups is great, and I think there’s real potential in this concept.
My only small downside is that rotating pieces by moving the window feels a bit frustrating and doesn’t add much to the gameplay in my opinion.
Overall, a really nice experience with a cool core mechanic!
