Yes

Roughly how much time did you spend developing? (in hours)
Phew… Since I am no coder I had to look up and learn a lot. About 40 Hours?

Anything else you'd like to share about your game or development process?
I learned very much but Sadly I did not find an artist. There are 12 pictures in the Game Which are mostly AI-generated. But Most of the Art still is Done by humans (Assets Or Made by myself). I hope for your understanding and a fair vote. Please Note that I would give any Price for best grafic to the Next in line.

Are you entering the "Best 3D Model Design with UModeler X" optional prize?

No

Very cute little game.

Got 4 endings, the characters are well writen, the game is intuitive and the little gameplay additions are nice.

The graphics are cool, good old Rpg Maker style, I'm really not a fan of AI generated graphics, but I know it's because you couldn't find an artist so it's okay :)

The musics are awesome! Congrats to you and Zoralune!

Fun game. I only ended up finishing the trivia girl's route so far, but enjoyed it. Her questions were intelligent, while still be common enough knowledge I could get them all. A.I. looked okay and I understand the fact that you had very limited time. I'll have to come back and play the other routes soon.

Cool game idea. The graphics are pretty good!

Cut game I like 2D graphics but the game is off center in full screen.

Alright,  dating sim meets JRP stryle game. I'm quite Impressed. Simple game, love the puzzle on the nerd girl, the girl on the dance floor is uh a bit simple task to do, the hardest is the girl with the dice, it seems that probability to get above 15 is quite hard. The love story is a bit corny for me  but overall a good game :D

Thank you ;)

Incredible hand-made music and the game was put together very nicely. It flowed smoothly and logically and nothing was unintuitive.

No major complaints aside from dating sims being not really my cup of tea lol

thank you very much for mentioning my music. As a composer I am very happy about this!

I’ll be honest, when I played your game for the first time, I ran around, talked to everyone, interacted with most things and kept talking to the wrong people. On my second playthrough, I realised you can speak to the people multiple times. I felt so stupid.

I was bouncing around speaking to all the characters, and I ended up with the route ending 5 Elise, but I managed to see all the others. I liked how each character had their own mini-game, but the only one I didn’t like was the dice roll. Makes sense for her character, but on the RNG side, I roll high on the first 55%, but low 30% guess I am unlucky 😭.

But good job creating this game. Overall, the story, music, and gameplay were great.

This isn't my normal type of game but I had a really enjoyable time playing it, great entry :) Your writing is great, each of the characters had distinct personalities and the dialogue felt natural. Often times game dialogue is written in a way that comes across forced and takes me out of it, but I didn't get that sense at all playing your game and all the character interactions and conversations felt authentic. I loved how you had extra NPCs like the DJ, drunk guy, and gambling man. Those extra details made the whole scene feel alive. I never would have thought about making a game like this in RPG Maker and its really cool what you were able to accomplish.

The minigames for each date were another great design choice and each minigame fit the personality of the girls very well. The minigames combined with the little puzzles to solve made the whole thing feel like an actual video game instead of just a visual novel which I appreciated. I was blown away at the custom song after making Elise her pina colada and going to her concert, incredible level of detail for a 10 day jam and it was honestly kind of a banger too. The d20 roll was a cool mechanic and fit Lisa's character perfectly, I re-rolled like 7 or 8 times until I passed the check but fate works in mysterious ways lol.

I do have to say that I find the AI generated art disappointing. I know the character portraits are a big part of a dating sim (and are well beyond my abilities to create so I understand to an extent) but I would much rather see an amateur attempt at drawing them or assets that don't fit the game super well instead. But I do appreciate you being super honest and forthright about it.

That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. The writing is excellent and each of the characters have fleshed out personalities that feel real. Each ending I got to was heart-warming and worth the time spent getting there. Awesome entry, and keep up the good work!!

Not really my cup of tea, but pretty fleshed out game for this short jam. Lots of characters and dialogue, minigames and atmosphere. The different endings/paths ensure replayability too, Nice entry!

Really nice game! I love that there are multiple endings and the art style is pretty cool. I love how you can interact with each character and gives it a more realistic feel.
The music is also really well done and fits the atmosphere

Nice game, i got the route 3 ending :D The script and dialogues were well written and the characters were interesting, so talking to each one felt quite engaging. Typically this is not my genre of choice, but i had fun for the time i played this! I liked the music and voice acting, went well with the vibe of the game Well done on the entry :)

Without a doubt, it’s a really interesting take on the jam theme. Being a bartender who can find love (or chaos) is intriguing enough to make the player want to explore all possible paths.

The writing, as always, is fantastic! I really love that you always focus on stories in your games. Once again, excellent work on the narrative and the branching system that changes the outcomes based on our actions. The mini-games break the monotony and add that special touch to keep the player engaged.

The atmosphere compositions were excellent. When it comes to audio, you’re the best person I know for that. I really enjoyed the music, especially the second ambient track after we talk to the DJ.

The way the story unfolds is interesting. The visuals were pleasant, and the effects too. I can imagine how much work this must’ve been during those development days, but you learned a lot. I hope you enjoyed using the engine (RPG Maker), since I believe it’s your first time working with it.

Another cool thing I liked is that you added lots of interactions with the tiles, which makes the environment feel very alive and significantly increases the possibility of exploration. It makes the player wonder what’s coming next and want to see all the details you put into the game.

Honestly, the AI art didn’t bother me at all. I think it fit well with the story, and I hope others feel the same way. After all, you worked hard on the whole development, and it wouldn’t be fair if people judged your game as “bad” just because AI was used to generate the images.

Congrats, Meru! It’s awesome to see one of your games and experience your stories in such an immersive way. I wish you the best of luck in the jam!

the game is very well made!

The music is great and the fact you combined few tracks together did wonders for the storytelling. Generly visual novel type of games arent my thing. But i know that people who does like the genre will have a blast playing.

Multiple endings! Nice!

Let's talk about the game! The sound was ok, but then! Did you make a custom song for the jam? That's seriously impressive! I always bump up the score for voice acting, but custom song is even better!

The graphics... I'll be honest, I don't love AI graphics, but the actual gameplay was in a good-old rpg maker style.

As for the gameplay- so far I just got Sophie, Elyse and Mai endings, and it's cool that every story has you doing different things! A bug I found is that Elyse's ending has Mai's background graphics.

As for the theme use- I think you could go harder on the theme. This story could as wall happen on the beach, or a cruise, so it doesn't really play into the "one room" aspect that much.

In the end- it seems like you enjoyed making a plot-heavy game. I enjoyed playing it! Keep up the good work!

Developer

Hey! I'm happy that the game motivated you enough to keep playing :D
Thank you - and yes... I wrote the song and Zoralune sang it for me :) I#m glad you liked it!

Regarding the AI Grafics I don't know if you read my description but most of the grafic is made by humans.

I just fixed the bug, sadly I can re-uoload only after the jam ends. ;_;

Regarding the theme: I think this goes for most of the games - like... an escape room could take place on a ship as well imho. But I get your opinion.
