The frog music and the game visuals are very cute with a nice cozy atmosphere! As others already mentioned, fishing mini-game needs some more clues on biting and successful catch. And I read in the description that there is a mini-game with The Croaks as well, but I couldn't get any successful combinations, so maybe some hints or an in-game tutorial would be nice!

I really love it, it looks soo good the style is the amazing and the music idea is nice, i feel like the fishing felt weird, i didnt really get when a fish is biting on the bite and i need to pull out and if i do pull out there is nothing telling me that i got a fish apart from opening the inventory, over its a pretty nice concept but just needs polishing
Really cool 2.5D style! Looks great! The idea for The Croaks is really good and very charming, just a shame the music was very distorted. I can see the foundation of a very cozy game, but some more time and polish is needed (always tough in a game jam I know!) Firstly the Settings button on the main menu didn't seem to do anything, so I'd suggest its better not having it all in that case. Then the SFX and visual feedback when fishing to make it more apparent what was happening, and it would also make catching the fish more rewarding too. A great start though, and The Croaks are the star of the show here.
Cute game!
I really like the band
That said I didn't really get how to fish either, I noticed at one point I had a normal debug fish (lol) in my inventory so I guess I managed it once, but it's not really clear in the moment how to fish nor if it worked.
Thanks for submitting
Looks fantastic! The cut scene was hilarious!
I wasn't actually sure how to catch fish.
The band idea was cool but the sound quality was compressed into oblivion and I could hardly make anything out. It sounded it like it could have been a really cool tune
yehp... thats definitely a cutscene ๐ค... one of, if not a cutscene of all time
I really love the character sprites and the art style! However I found the fishing too confusing and I didn't manage to catch any succesfully - wasn't sure what the noise I was meant to be listening out for was? I also love the little band stage and the idea of being able to kind of customise your own backing music for playing the game. I had some issues with the sounds being very crackly and unpleasant to listen to, but I haven't seen anyone else mention this so it might be a problem at my end. Thanks for sharing your game!
Thanks for playing the game ^^
Yeah I agree about the fishing. The visual clue is ambiguous, the audio clue exist but maybe because there's so many happening, it's not really noticeable. It's the metal sound that you need to listen to.
The sound being very crackly probably because of the browser I guess. Wasn't really sure because it's the first time for me this happened.
The browser and the Unity Editor result in very different kind of audio quality.
Very cute! I liked the little band and the art! I did find the fishing to be a little confusing but I was still able to catch a few :) Great job!
I love The Croaks!!!! Please put them on tour. This game is so nice, had a smile the entire time! Thank you for submission :)
Thank you ^^
I'm glad you liked it XD
I also really liked spending time implementing it ^^
pixel-jamp and rinonino did really good job creating The Croaks XD
and draypixel made an awesome stage too XD
The overall Isn't very bad. However, my experience was kind of "interacting with the game mechanics" rather than immerse in it. But I think this is somewhat an acceptable level for a prototype, I understand the difficulty of achieving the level of "living in a simulation".
And also, having different builds of your game is ideal for ones who may have trouble running your game(I had to change the browser twice).
