Ah no I didn't notice that that was a setting, my bad!

Very fun little game, reminded me of some similar puzzles in the professor layton games so it made me quite nostalgic! And the bonus snowman editor is so cute! I noticed another comment suggesting that the snow should lock to the grid and I definitely agree since I had some issues with the character getting stuck in strange spots. I think I'd also prefer a slightly faster slide speed just because it felt like quite a bit of the playtime was just waiting for the character to arrive. Thanks for sharing your game!

Hey, thanks so much for checking it out!

I kind of anticipated that the majority of people wouldn't be able to fully engage with the timer during the voting period. That's why I made the timer 10 minutes (rather than a typical 25 minute pomodoro) and also put one of the snowpal customisations right at the beginning for people to quickly get an idea of what the game is like. So I really appreciate that you gave it as much time as you did!

I'm flattered that you're thinking to continue with it, and it's good to know that someone will get to enjoy the unlockable items that take more than an hour to reach ahaha. Anyway, thanks again!

Hell yea, well done for getting the dishes out of the way! Glad you enjoyed <3

Fun little game, quite addictive and stressful lol. The furthest I managed to get was round 5, it gets very difficult very fast. It's quite hard to aim at the right snowman when they're all crowding you so that was usually how I lost, but I guess that's the incentive to deal with them all as fast as possible. Thanks for sharing your game!

Hard to fault this one, the gameplay is simple but really fun to master and the art is beautiful. I love the attention to detail, like how the shading and colours of the frog change when it's standing right by a fire. Wanting to get a better time gave me brain worms and I ended up playing it like 10 times lol. Anyway, amazing work, thanks for sharing your game!

Really excellent, so polished and cohesive. The artwork is gorgeous and the core mechanic is really interesting and well thought out!

Thanks for checking it out, and that sounds like it would be a very interesting project!

Thanks for playing! <3

Very hypnotising and relaxing, and I'm in love with this super abstracted visual style!

The art is the biggest star in this one! So cute, and all the food art is really beautifully done. I found the cooking aspect a bit confusing and didn't understand what I was meant to be doing until coming back here to read other comments and the game page. So a tutorial would probably be useful! I also feel like a bit more of an introduction/some storytelling would help. I liked the premise that we are helping aura to get better which is written in the game description, but that's kind of absent from the game itself. It would be cute if the character started out looking more unwell, then looked more and more healthy as the game went on. Thanks for sharing your game!

Super cute! Would be nice to see more gameplay depth as others have said. The real highlight is the adorable animal sprites, they look gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your game!

Probably one of my favourites this jam! Everything about it is just lovely and comforting and pleasant for eyes and ears. It was really satisfying seeing the snow melting away. Also I love the little Over the Garden Wall reference in the background haha. Thanks for sharing your game!!

Thank you!

Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks so much! And yes this is the default pico-8 font, I need to see if there's a way to change it because I know it's kind of crunchy lol.

Thanks so much for checking it out, glad it helped you! <3

This is super impressive for a first game, well done!!

I found this very difficult lol, tried quite a few times but never got very far. I really adore the premise and the artwork especially. The little polar bear creatures are so cute (even when they spend every second trying to murder me). The animation and design of the main penguin is also excellent. Thanks for sharing your game!

Neat mechanic, I almost gave up a few times after struggling to dodge the attacks from the dad, but I managed to beat it in the end! Would love to see some animation, especially when the game is solely focused on looking at these two characters. Thanks for sharing your game!

I'm really glad it helped you out and that you enjoyed the atmosphere! Music is by @Gruber_music if you want to check out any more of their stuff. Thanks for playing! <3

No I don't have epilepsy or any photosensitivity, it just seems like something that might affect others so I thought I would mention it. No problem, I had a good time playing!

A solid platformer, I felt compelled to keep playing for quite a while! The art is simple but it's super cohesive and appealing. Main issues were the jump sound effect which I think others have pointed out, and also in the parts where there were different weather effects (wind, snow etc), the way they suddenly appeared and disappeared was a little jarring, so perhaps there could be more of a transition there. I also feel like the snow effect may warrant a flashing image warning because it was so rapid and flickery. Great work anyway, thanks for sharing your game!

Thank you! If you like this kind of game then Pomo Farm is another great one to check out. Music is by @Gruber_music <3

Chill little game with a lot of variety and lovely music! I think the main thing that could improve it is more background art, as the world looks a bit empty, plus a more distinct design for the main character sprite. I'm worried they won't survive the winter no matter what I do because they look naked lol. Thanks for sharing your game!

Nice clean art, very cute, and the music is pleasing to the ear. More sfx would have made it feel a bit more polished, and would be cool to see mechanics get expanded on more, but other than that a solid game!

Very delightful! I had been hoping someone might incorporate this kind of snowball rolling mechanic into their game because it's a real life thing that feels so game-y and satisfying.  All the sfx and music are spot on in creating the atmosphere, and I love how hands on the snowman customisation is. Thanks for sharing your game!

Thanks for your kind words! I'm so happy to hear it helped you out - gamified focus tools like this have helped me a lot in the past so I'm excited to have been able to give that experience to someone else!

edit: Forgot to add that the music is by @Gruber_music who makes great free-to-use music for Pico-8, in case you wanted to check out any of their other work!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much! <3

Delightful! The artwork is so cute and appealing and the little squeaky sounds the penguins make are so cute. The animation of the penguins fishing at the ice hole was my favourite. I also really liked the touch of the trails the penguins left behind them in the snow. I would love to see this more fleshed out, because after about 6 penguins there's nothing left for the remaining penguins to work on, and I want to see all my penguins running around lol. I also had a bit of a glitch where the penguins really struggled to pick up pebbles the more houses there were, and some pebbles would become inaccessible. Thanks for  sharing your game!

This is fun, I like the mechanic of blocking penguins with the stones, and the visuals are really nice! My main crit is that the music gets a bit grating after a while, but all the other sfx work well. Thanks for sharing your game!

I love the background music so much, weirdly mournful and haunting. The game environment feels overly large and empty, but I don't know if this is because you have plans to add more to this project. Thanks for sharing your game!

The crunchy pixel art is super appealing and I like the animations! The grid on the ground feels a bit unnecessary tho. It was very challenging but I managed to win after about 6 tries. Thanks for sharing your game!!

Fun little game, definitely had me laughing a few times lol. Someone needs to deal with the gang of aggressive snowmen terrorising this community. My main criticism is that the pixel art could be a lot more cohesive - for example the igloos look like they belong in a different game to the penguin because of the pixels being different sizes to eachother. Thanks for sharing your game!

As others have said, the transition is very creative, although I literally destroyed every door before realising I had any power to control it lol. A fun and surreal little experience. My main criticism is that I would like to see the fire burning at the end to give a sense of completion to everything. Thanks for sharing your game!!

Lol yes I worried this game might be a hard sell for people who don't have anything in mind they want to focus on. If you manage to get past the first bit of boredom there's a feature in the break section where you can randomise ideas for little jobs you could get done! Anyway thanks for checking it out and glad you like the customisation!

Thanks so much!!

Aww thanks for sharing, I was hoping people might post screenshots! Glad you liked it <3

Good fun and I love the blocky style! Main crit would be  that I wish the ground under the snow was more of a different colour from the snow. It can be hard to see your progress when the ground is only slightly darker than the snow itself. Thanks for sharing your game!!
