At first I thought, “Is my keyboard broken?” but then I realized from other people's comments that it's a game where you can only move in a straight line! I was just so scared from the very start that I froze up the entire time I was trying to control it. The sound and atmosphere were absolutely perfect—even though I was just pressing keys, it genuinely felt like I was walking through this low-poly graveyard.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Limiting movement was a risky choice, but we decided to do it so you couldn’t escape the graveyard, cause the temptation is just too strong, haha

Glad you enjoyed it!

Great atmosphere, loved the graphics. The guy behind me made me so paranoid ffs. I loved the different interactions and the character designs (idk if you made them yourselves but looked really nice). It was fun to discover what the right choice was but abruptly restarting and having to walk a long way again was a little annoying. Still very enjoyable don't worry

The ambient sound and all sfx worked really great, tho sometimes they were a lot of sfx and they felt pretty random, some more spatialized sounds and animated events on the sides would really add to the atmosphere!

Good experience and awesome job! Congrats

Developer(+1)

Yes, all the characters were drawn by our wonderful Hacker_Malicious <3
As for the sound effects, most of them do play randomly, we didn’t really have time to polish everything during the jam. Anyway, thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestions! I’m really glad you enjoyed it c:

Full five stars for horror, this is one of the most atmospheric ones in the jam I played so far. The oldschool graphics work really well. When I met the gothic couple, the dialog kept replaying until I did some mouse magic but then i could progress. This game is so good i only have comfort issues - maybe screen adaption, a more legible font? WOuld love to get more of this.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the high rating! We’ve already received some reports about issues with the dialogue system, and indeed we didn’t have enough time to polish everything during the jam. Hopefully, it didn’t spoil the experience too much, and we’ll try to fix it in the future с:

I like the atmosphere it evokes, it seems strange to me (in a good way) that there are a lot of random people in a cemetery at night.

Developer(+1)

Haha, oh yeah, those people are quite weird on their own. I think the experience would’ve been totally different without them
Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it!

The cemetary environment is beautiful! I know there are a lot of low-poly PSX style games out there but for some reason this one in particular reminded me of actual retro games...

I liked the idea of only being able to go forward, it constraints the player and makes them feel... claustrophobic? (especially when there's a guy following you lol), while also making the whole experience seem like some sort of an amusement ride lol

Developer

Thank you for playing! Really glad it felt retro to you, that’s exactly the vibe we were going for ^^

There is something oldy comforting and caring in the concept of endless graveyard, or maybe I just had certain nostalgia here as this very much reminds me of a place I used to visit, though not the fenced graves. Very enjoyable atmospheric little walkthrough where, truly, nothing unusual happens, I swear none of these were unusual. Loved the attention to details, the flashlight mechanic (managed to psych myself out thinking one sprite had morphed into something when I flashed them, but I'm sure that was just my imagination :) ) and the sound design. Also the bold choice of limiting players movement that much is respectable a lot, it was nice way to make this type of on-rails walking simulator, and I mean those adjectives with all the positivity here. Great work on this.

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed and kind review! I won’t lie, the concept of the game is quite personal to me and partially based on real experiences, so I also feel a kind of nostalgia when diving into this project. And yeah, imagination can be a tricky thing, which is one of the reasons we chose this visual style

Awesome ambiance! I loved how the shadow followed but never moved when i was looking at it! great job

I really like the way it looks, good atmosphere!

Thanks for playing!

The linear movement was an interesting touch, made the game feel restrictive in a good horror way

Glad you liked it!

I appreciate the game aesthetics and the die and retry thing. The death is really "abrupt" lol. Nice little references. But who was the guy behind?

Developer(+2)

I’m afraid no one knows
Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Nice aesthetic! But how could it go wrong when I pet a cat😭?

Developer

The cat’s a little tricky. No judgment — I’d pet it too ^^

Submitted(+1)

Simple yet really good, the cat one caught (NO REGRETS!!!)

Really scary stalker as well

The UI do need so work (Sometimes text go way too fast and option sometimes covers a part of text)

Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Yeah, we didn’t have much time for the UI, but you should be able to scroll the text inside the window, if everything is working correctly

Submitted

Oh I didn't know that 😅

Submitted(+1)

The game is really good :) Simple concept executed well! I would of definitely died from that cat though in real life haha! You may want to change up that cover though to bring in some more attention :)

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Yeah, cat is a tricky one! Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll probably come up with something new and fresh, if it’s still allowed to change the visuals

Submitted(+1)

Creepy! I don't like it when people follow me! Very well done :)

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Simulator of checking every 5 steps if this creep is still following me. I love it! 10/10

Developer

Haha, glad you enjoyed it!

The guided walking is interesting and found the stalker behind me to be really creepy. Nice aesthetic too!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Be happy! :D That was quite a trip. The horror atmosphere really hits. That one loud cricket sound startled me more than anything else. One issue though: the choice options cover the story text box, so only the top part is readable. Overall, great work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate you playing! Oh, we haven’t encountered that issue before, but we’ll take a look and see what we can do

Developer

Update: turns out you can actually scroll the text с:

great game really pretty looking! people cant catch me if i walk backwards #lifehack

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback! You mean the guy walking behind you? haha

Submitted

yeah

Developer

Okay, then all good. Thanks for playing!

Great environment art, and I like the 2D sprites for the characters. I love how by limiting the player's controls it makes it that much scarier than if you were able to move freely.

Thank you for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it с:
