very cute, love the pixel art and music. good job! did you plan to make this longer but run out of time? would be cool to know if you had more planned!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! It's exactly what I planned for jam in terms of length, but it misses some visual improvements, bugfixes, etc.

I'd like to continue to work on the game, just with some lower tempo and after some time :)

Glad that you enjoyed :)

This is barely a videogame, and way too short. But what it loses in both of those, it wins over with charm, the cool poster (which misled me a bit, admittedly . . .) and the presentation!

Developer(+1)

Thanks :)

Short but sweet with a dash of spooky. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!

This was cute and fun, albeit a bit short. I agree that the attack should be bound to a button, imo it doesn't feel as good being a mouse click. Or maybe it was and I just didn't find the other button.

I liked it! Well done!

Developer

Thank you for playing. Appreciate the feedback! :)

Quite a unique approach to the theme!
My only recommendation is to bind [f] or [space] for attack.  I think it would feel better to play it this way.

Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the keys suggestion!! I definitely add f, cause space is for dialogue skip already :)

Submitted(+1)

Loved it!

Excellent approach to the theme. Nice loop and story. Really enjoyed the ending!

Nice entry! Congrats!

fun little short story. actually really liked the idea and style, only wish it was a longer or had a puzzle or two for more lore as when it ended i kept waiting to see if there might be more lol i wanted to keep playing. that being said it did what it was built to do 11/10

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Nice to heart that you have enjoyed playing and like to see more :)

That's a nice little game) creeppy)

short and cool.
it was a bit to easy though, on the first round i even got a bit spooked, because i panicked and did not know what to do. but i got trough and got to the end
than i wondered, what happens when you lose, and spoilers..
.
.
nothing, this was a bit anticlimactic
there also was a big disconnect between game and poster, posters sets the mood, and then the actual game graphic ruins it. i mean looking at your other game, i guess that's your style, but there the game matched poster mood and colors. i think you could at very least change the overall pallet to make it darker, more ominous.
P.S. really liked your previous game. it seems we were in that jam together as well.
back to topic, its a great game.
its well put together little game with story, complete and polished

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

Very right point for the pallete, thanks for that additionly. For the next games I'll take it in mind for sure and when I decide to update previous onces. Do you use some special tools for pallete correction? I use pixatool, it works fine, but a bit broken and not updated for long time

P.S: I more like your current submission rather then from jamsepticeye(but it is cool as well). Great progress!

It's interesting to see an entry that's more story and cutscene focused.

I was surprised when it ended so quickly and thought something broke, but i can see from the other comments that this is the intended design.

I guess it's important to remember it's a jam entry. best to have it short and functional than long and incomplete. But it was starting to get interesting, and we wanted more :D

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, with time limits I decided to make it little but playable instea of opossite :D

Submitted(+1)

Good use of music and I like how it was a more story focussed game than some of the other games I have played in this jam. I agree with a few others who have mentioned that it is on the shorter-end in terms of length. It would've been nice to see a transition to another scene or world (perhaps during that 8 years later part).

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Sure, I got a lot of good comments and suggestions on how to improve, so I can start to work on it at least with a new draft version :)

Was a bit limited in time, so submitted what feels less finished :)

Hey — I liked your game Eerie TV, the CRT visuals and ghost-static effects definitely gave it the right vibe for the jam. I found a bug where the fight prompt didn’t appear sometimes when a ghost entered the screen, so you couldn’t respond even though the ghost was active. One suggestion: add a short popup or hint at the start — “Press X to fight ghosts” or something — to help players who assume they can only flee. Thanks so much and good luck with the rest of the jam! 🦴

If you’ve got a moment, I’d love it if you could check out my game and leave a rating: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I added that note for future updates.

cool! Great job love to see how you do later!

The outro was cool I really like what you did there,

In the first scene Mary should change to the stand animation when she is first confronted with the TV a little weird how she walks on the spot,

I like the static effect you have on the sprites particularly effective on the ghosts. I didn't realize I could fight them the first time I played and almost let them kill me - so may want a bit of a tutorial or alert to say you can fight them.

I enjoyed the little story :)

I would consider using a more extreme and limited palette for the game section as will better fit the page title and ending.

Cool game, love the pixel art. I'd enjoy playing more levels if you add them in the future!

Developer

Sure, I will! Thank you :)

Great work!

Developer

Thanks!

I always love a good story-driven game :) Thanks for the short and crisp experience! I just wish it were a bit longer so we could see what happened to the people who got pulled into the TV. It would’ve been really cool to experience that firsthand — maybe even becoming one of the victims and trying to escape from inside the TV!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I planning to extend story, so it will happen :)

I suddenly find myself nervous about that CRT I rescued from the trash...  Cute and quick, I enjoyed it!

Nice story and art. Game was a little too short, I didn't have a chance to enjoy it enough. But overall pretty nice simple game :)

Developer

Thanks!

Fun little game, eye catching cover art, made my smile, and the story is well written!

The only issue I had as that the final scene appeared on the quarter of the screen, but maybe this is an intended thing.

Submitted(+1)

Nice little game. I'd have liked some more "levels" and story details about what happened inside the TV.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!
