Absolute madman xD

It's kinda hard to grasp at the begining, especially what I need to build buildings, but after you know how to it's suprisingly nice and polished game. Good job :)

Nice game but I suggest to use WSAD instead of arrows. I had to hold my mouse to click leave then go for arrows to move and then go all left to E to interact again, so much work for so little action.

Damn, what a dark vision this game gave me... it will haunt mefor some time.

The cube with death wall is already hard, using this dead wall to place on target is too much from me xD

I like the idea, it's very orginal and whole design is cute and polished. But this is just not the game for me.

Very high notes in almost all categories :) Good job :D

My imagination tells me that we will find some dude who will play like this soon, and roast us in the comments xD

We are all gamers, so we have 2k monitors, that's probably why we didn't think about it before :)

What do you used to do artstyle, some Ktirta? Aseprite?

Could you try it now? I'm a little worried that could make some problems to users who will launch game before they click on full screen mode button.

What a cute little game! I didn't get enough candy but I had so much fun scarring all those kids :D

It's 1920x1080, so if you launch it in full screen, you shouldn't have any problems here.

With a lack of sounds, it was a fight for life to finish the game on time, and we really regret leaving sound design for last now, but we really did whatever we could in the given time. The project was a little too ambitious for our first-ever game jam, and we spent every single moment of free time working on it. If we had another day or two, I'm sure all the problems people mentioned in the comments would be addressed, with the lack of sounds on top of that.

And I agree that our choice of main character could be better, but in Unity Asset Store I found it hard to find anything better suited to the style of the monsters and other assets that we already used in game, so if anything, that's my fault. Sorry for that!

Yeah I explained all those in previous comments. We had it all in plans but time was not on our side here and we have done what we could.

Thank you personally for the feedback, because I was responsible for all cards effects, monsters, and balancing, so I'm glad someone noticed my work I've done here to make game interesting and engaging :)

"... when I finished, I felt everything was building up to a big final scare or something, but then nothing happened and I couldn't do anything anymore. Idk if that was intentional or a bug, but it would've being cool if something happened right there...."

- exactly my thoughts here

Very high notes from me. Nurse is cute and animated, game is climatic and scary. Good work with notes that explained everything you need to know. Going on a wheel chair was really hard for a longer time. Few times I drifted into some obstacles and had problems to move out, but that's for sure some unique experience.

I guess you hired your wife to do the whispers :D

Cool experience overall, more like a story with a message rather than full blown game, but I like it. I would like the E on the bottle to be more visible I could easily never drink from it. And what's in the bottle? I hoped for some buzz effects, but it seems there was just a water :D

It's kinda bad giving you 3 tapes to choose from and then softlock players to pick the first one. It's like invisible walls in an RPG in the middle of a town. But the idea was really interesting. Playing "detective" is not my thing, but I can see the heart you give to this title.

good notes in almost every category from me :)

Hey that's some unexpected funny game with not enough reviews! It was really climatic and fun, but I would really put first TV closer to your starting position. I died few times before I reached it at least :)

About kicking skulls, I don't know if it's working or it takes some time to kick the skull, because this mechanic killed me more times than it helps me xD

And attack animations of this zombie were really out of place. You are not a Jedi Master bro, you are just brain damaged Zombie xD

Yeah a few steps too much to expect people to do that just to play for few minutes. But I respect that you work with your own engine. Artsyle in your site and menu and background in game looks all very nice and climatic. Instructions for installation are clear for anyone who uses python. I would suggest to contact support of the game jam on their discord and ask for permission to build exe even after the deadline. They shouldn't have problems with it. Good luck :)

Really cool story. Few times I was a little stuck not knowing what to do next, but after a while it all comes together. Short for sure but very climatic horror experience. Keep with good job :)

PS. How do you do this pixelated artstyle?

Can't download because of warnings of suspicious behaviour. Care to fix that?

Still nothing to play :(

So cool and complete game! The idea of room generation is something new I didn't get across before. Climate and wibe are really on top of this gamejam, I like it even if I died in like 3rd of 4th room like a baby :D

Yeah, about card targeting, we had plans to put a glowing border around a card you clicked on and the same glowing border around potential targets to show where you can click on, but as always, we just ran out of time.

And about the rewards, healing the player completely was previously only a 3rd option. We had added a new gold card to the player's deck at slot one and deleted a brown card from the deck on slot two. We even had prepared UI for those, but after some thinking, we knew that we would have to show the deck structure to the player, and we didn't have time for this functionality. And after the deadline, we decided not to add those other rewards even if it was partially coded into the game, because we are unsure this could disqualify us for adding new content reasons.

Understandable, our project grew bigger than we expected too :D

Thank you :)

This was our first attempt at a game jam, and honestly, we had no idea our project would require so much work to complete. You can hover over the cards before clicking to read a card completely with a cost visible.

There's a rule that golden cards cost 3, and all others cost 1.

Just a skull clicker. It's a nice art but not much of the rest. Keep going with good work. You can make it work :)

Game was very enjoyable for me, but picking coins was torture to my ears. Kinda loosely connected to the theme of the jam. Looks like project with Jam theme DLC, not a game prepared for a entry. Most of my rating was positive anyway :)

Keep doing great work.

I would gladly play it more but those loud sounds was destroying my ears. Cute artstyle though :)
I left positive score :)

I see the effort. Claudine was very cute, sadly she dissapeared fro my view with dialogs still comming out. Another thing I couldn't even see Lola. They just go invisible ;_;. Overall really simple and rather boring entry, but I have to say I didn't play many visual novels to this day.

Nice survivor game adaptation. I really loved low poly cute skeletons trying to grab me :)

Nice game, though it's very simple, the "tech tree" was keeping me in game for some time. Sadly gameplay itself is nothing special and even if we collect points faster with every upgrade we collect it's still bored me before I finished it.

I really loved the intro!!!

Very nice entry. It just bring russian roulette to my mind. How do you achieve this kind of art style?

Nevermind I was past level 5, just was too absorbed in gameplay to notice xD

(1 edit)

Yeah I didn't reach level 5 but will try if I find time. My rating will be overwritten to story 4 just because I trust your words :)

We were worried about card readability on lower resolutions and those had priority over everything else. Thus after we finally reached our golden solution we found not so much space to anything else. Anyway it's there and suggestion to animate it somehow will be remembered to updates after Gamejam finish :)

Very cool game, nice gameloop and replayability. One thing about the screams. They were too loud, not much scary, rather annoying after a while.

Our Graphic Designer got vague ilustrations from Chat GPT, then worked on them to put them into cards She prepared herself. It's worth mentioning that those ilustrations were mono toned strong into brown colour looking like made in some medieval book. She made those ilustrations alive, and put them into well prepared card frames.

About sound we had it in plans but we simply lacked of time.

You have energy ball showing 3/3 - 0/3, is that not enough?

Glad you like our game :)

Cool music, that will last in my memory :)

Yeah I will learn from this example, thanks :)
