Thank you for the feedback and for playing our game.

The time constraints we had (work, colleges etc) had us only be able address the game usually on evenings. Because of our limited time we emphasized a lot on the atmosphere, levels, animations, sprites and mostly being as bug-free as possible . We had a lot of ideas to move forward if we had more time, we saw great potential to make an interesting game.

We plan to address all issues in future patches or releases in the future. And do not worry, you aren't discouraging us; every constructive feedback is useful!

Really nice game!

Good dialogue system, nice pace and change of difficulty among levels. The concept is quite nice.

Great work!

Thank you for playing and sharing your thoughts!

Thank you for the feedback!

Well done!

Game plays smoothly. Suggestions would be to maybe not make it so difficult at the start of the game - too many skeletons spawn at once and maybe make the bullet travel a bit faster.

The sound is implemented nicely and the mechanic where you have a few skeletons targeting the TV while others target good is smart!

Very interesting game!

Loved the transaction mechanic for the scares and energy - makes the game more strategic in certain parts as if you have an economy to handle. The sounds were also quite nice and the animations on spot. Overall an ejoyable experience to play!

One small issue to fix when possible is add a volume setting to lower it down, as at times the music and other sfx were a bit too loud.

We did note the control issue people keep pointing out. We will see how we can improve these in later stages even though we believe its more a "getting used too" thing for most.

For the theme, we planned a lot of spooky/horror elements, but because we usually prefer to be as bug-free as possible we focused a lot of time on perfecting core systems, which also affected the hint and any other text implementation. We plan to make better use and implementations of these in future patches of any other games.

Overall, we thank you for your feedback and for playing our game :)

Thank you for playing! :)

Thank you for the feedback!

We will attempt to improve on these in later patches and any other games we plan to make. We didnt have as much time to develop most of what we planned, especially because we're determined to be as bug-free as possible.

Thank you for your review and for playing!

The game over screen was due to the time running out and causing the submarine to implode. You can view most of these details by checking the bridge screen and note there regarding the depth the sub can take.

This is such a great submission! Visuals, story, puzzles, everything. I played multiple times to get all the endings. Really impressive considering the limited time. Only thing is I kept trying to walk with WASD until I remembered I had to use the arrows keys, but that's literally the only improvement I could think of. Awesome game

Cool submission, I love hidden object games and this felt really nostalgic. One thing I would change is making the objects blend in better with the background, just to make the game a bit more challenging, because the textures/resolution are so different, they were pretty easy to spot. Also placing them in different spots as they all seemed to spawn in very specific parts of the screen. Really enjoyed this good job :)

Cool game, love the pixel art. I'd enjoy playing more levels if you add them in the future!

Nice entry!

The atmosphere was quite interesting and the TV changing the world mechanic was really well done! Pretty sure if you kept working on it and had more features it would have been an amazing game!

Very nice work!

Thank you for playing our game and sharing your thoughts!

We definitely had a lot of plans, we just didn't have as much time to develop everything - so we focused a lot on core systems, so at the end the game feels a lot more linear than it should have been. That also goes for the the Jam theme, we had a lot of ideas for jumpscares and unsettling atmosphere, also we planned to have a chase scene with an uknown entity. Overall, a lot of things stayed out due to time constraints.

In future entries we plan to make a lot more of these games with all the improvements people provide :)

Thank you for the feedback, we had a lot more plans to do with the development - we just didn't have as much time.

Thank you for your feedback :D

Nice game.

It has good potential and certainly a lot to explore with the open world.

Some improvements coould be the following:

  • Have a pause menu for mid-game. I played it on the web but when pressing the ESC it didnt work (maybe wrong on my part)
  • I feel like the game would play much better on fullscreen, right now its on fixed size and some UI elements are off screen.
  • The open world looks promising, but it requires a lot of polishing and better optimisation.
  • Some sounds should be made to propely fit certain elements. The footsteps didnt much that well or there were delayed sounds effects when opening doors.
  • It should be a little more clear on what is interactable in the world what not. I go to doors that can be opened and than go to another door but cant be interacted or no message is shown (maybe add like a "it wont budge" or "locked" message/UI notifier)

Overall, its a good game. I understand you are only one person who made it and it is hard to make 3D games on your own within a specific timeframe.

As one of the comments pointed out below, if you give it another week of polishing and some extra improvements it could be really :D

Keep up the great work!

Amazing work!

The atmosphere is unsetling about who to trust and who is saying truth. The mechanics work nicely, the checking of the people's reactions and body parts is very spot on and it creates the creepy feeling. We love the dellima of choosing right and wrong. And the dialogue system is nicely done.

The only con is that it would be nice to maybe have a few more rooms to explore :).

Overall amazing work!

i love the bunny so much

Nice game!

We like the concept of it with the candy, the lots of obstacles to dogde and the potential upgrades offered. It has a promising potential to be a very unique game with lots of interesting features to add. The artstyle was nice and the atmosphere was intest!

It does require some improvements.

For first notice, the audio was turned off by default and I had to figure out if the game had no sound or if my audio was wrong.

Second, the settings page overlaping with the menu made it difficult to see visually - because both are nearly the same color. I suggest maybe a different screen or a fade out of the background could fix the issue.

Overall, it is a very nice game :D

Loved the art in this, interesting movement physics, and nice music. I don't really see the connection with the theme but cool game either way!

Such a fun and creative game! Love the pixel art and the animated tiles and there are so many cool mechanics in this. Also like the visual novel style intro a lot. Awesome job I'll definitely play this again!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing. A lot of people pointed out the lack of instructions so we will fix that in the future.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Agree about the pixel resolution, we plan to polish things up after voting ends

Thank you so much for the feedback and playing the game!

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback and playing the game. We will work on the controls and add instructions since a lot of people have pointed that out. The game over screen is because the time ran out before you completed the repairs and the sub imploded (as it says on a note in the bridge room).  As for the keys, F is for using items in your inventory, and E is for interacting with objects (for example: F to use key and unlock door, then E to interact with door and open it). We'll try to make all these things more clear in next patches.

Fun game. I enjoyed just flying around the square and blasting!

Would prefer if it had maybe a bit more variety on the enemies, maybe some more background music or sfx. Or even other levels with different schemas.

Nicely done though.

Really cool art, love the GB aesthetic. The possession mechanic was fun, especially having to plan it, and trying to do it faster to beat your score. Nice music and sound design too, overall really fun game!

Very nice game. Enjoyed playing it and really cool concept!

Theres a lot of potential in it, especially in adding more mechanics in the future. The atmosphere is also very fitting.

Awesome game, love the aesthetics and music. The story is a cool spin on the alice in wonderland story. Mechanics were a lot of fun and definitely a game you can keep playing. Cool pixel art and tv effects too. Overall very nice game, really enjoyed it!

Well made!

It was a bit shorter than expected . The jumpscares were nice and did their job.

Some improvements could be made to have some animation on the character, or maybe making the room a bit larger so you can explore a bit more than just 2 rooms. Atmosphere was creepy but there wasn't a lot to do.

Sick atmosphere and interesting concept. Genuinely creepy and unsettling, with cool jumpscares. Played a couple times before figuring out exactly what we're supposed to do. Good sound design too. Simple mechanics but they work for the concept. Would like it if it was a little more challenging but overall cool game and I enjoyed playing it!

Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback!

The game is very fun and the mechanics work well. The retro sounds are on spot and in general the sound design is very well made. And the AI is also nicely done.

Some improvements could be on the artwork, in terms of the NPC's mostly, also the game feels very lenghty but it would take quite some time to complete all.

Overall, very nice game! I'd play it again for sure.
