fantastic job, quite a "heavy" setting but also very relevant message for the time and age we find ourselves in.  great job on this one, I will not forget that stare for a long while!

really cool, great job on the camera / TV shenanigans :D

I only have one suggestion for you: include a web build next time! you will have so much more reach with it :)

this is absolutely fantastic! I am so glad I still had time to play this, great job! It is hard to give any suggestions for the future, other than perhaps including a more interactive tutorial as it still takes some time to get used to. but that's just an optional nit-pick and the first level can be seen as tutorial as well :)

Looking forward for more!

very cute, love the pixel art and music. good job! did you plan to make this longer but run out of time? would be cool to know if you had more planned!

thank you for your feedback! great suggestions.

we did not include a skybox on purpose. we wanted to give an ominous feel, that the house is lost in a creepy dimension, and it had to be simple as time was running out. :)

there is only one ( cursed) remote, it just keeps manifesting in different locations over and over again until the player can't keep up anymore.

thanks for your feedback and you are right, I definitely have to explain this in-game somehow! :)

thank you so much!

thank you and excellent suggestions :)

thanks for your feedback! even I struggle sometimes. Perhaps I should implement a bleep from the remote's location, if the timer goes too low!

hehe :) thanks!

thank you :)

the snapping was for some reason only observable in browser, probably something to do with the player controller/camera interaction. I was aware but had no time to implement a solution after multiple failed attempts unfortunately!

thank you for your feedback :)

such a cool idea :) really great art style and also I loved being able to pick skins. this is a great entry, nice one!

one funny note, I first wasn't aware that landing on the screen will kill the tv. I first thought there are invisible mines. I eventually figured it out tho (and should have read your description before playing duh :D )

Very well executed combat, good job! Also love the cover art, it reminds me of something but I just cannot put my finger on it. :) Feel free to share your inspiration for it!

(...and if you can spare 2 or 3 minutes, I would be so happy if you could review my little game as well)

Really cool art style, a little shader magic is always so cool to see :)  I think you just made me wanting to dive into shaders next, so thanks for that!

If you have the time, I would also be glad if you could review my casual little game as well.

This was quite fun, an interactive spoopy  intro, followed by launching into that classic snake game!

So now that I visited your house, it is your turn! Come have a look and get comfortable at the TV :)

So this is what the Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant does in his free time. I could not help it but see the reference with Godot and buttons :)

Really cool idea, have to once try something like this as well. Great job on this one!

I would be very happy if you coud review my little game as well, should be a quick one.

Very cool intro and classic twin stick shooter feeling :) Good job!

I would be really happy if you could review my game as well, I am still lacking some feedback. It will not take much time, my game is fast paced as well and quickly "finished" :)

Binding of Patti *quacks*

Cute game, hope you continue this project, would love to see what you will create!

I would be really happy if you could give my game a review as well!  I promise it will not take much of your time, its fast paced and played rather quickly :)

Nailed the Gameboy Color  aesthetic, takes me back :D Cute game, well executed retro style, good job!

I would be really happy if you could give my game a review as well!  I promise it will not take much of your time, its fast paced and played rather quickly :)

Cute little game :)

Did you start from scratch or did you already have some things in place that you could reuse, or did you go completely from scratch?

Also, I would be really happy if you could give my game a review as well!  I promise it will not take much of your time, its fast paced and played rather quickly :)

thank you so much as well! :)

I will just spare you the details and say we have a winner :) Very well done, I enjoyed it a lots and lots!

As I am a total Godot fan as well, did you create the custom Godot splash screen yourself? I enjoyed the intro as much as the game itself! :D

Thank you for your feedback, although I am honestly a bit confused as to what exactly you are referencing with it :)

Thanks for the feedback! The spawns are predefined (and rigorously bug tested), some of them are just really hard to find :) It comes down to a lot of luck in the end, the audio can help you guess if it spawned close or further away. In total I placed 31 predefined spawn locations for the remote.

thanks for the helpful feedback :)

For the controller support, we intentionally did not "advertise" or highlight it, as we were aware that it was not finished yet. Nonetheless we left it in the game, because additional accessibility features can never hurt!

Fun little game, good job!

What I find funny: I find the movement to be a little bit too slow in your game,so exactly the opposite of your opinion ony my entry :D

Was the addition of keyboard only controls intentional or did you face issues with adding mouse support?

The ghosts are so mean :D Great game and very cool idea for halloween, well done :)

One question, is the game intended to be very dark or is it just my (bad) screen? I could not even spot my character in the beginning so I started clicking around, trying to figure if it is point and click or WASD controls, until I figured it out.  In case it is general, my only suggestion would be to increase brightness a  tiny bit.

Looking forward to see more from you in the future!

You should really consider working on this again if you managed to punch life back in the face :) Perhaps for next halloween?

I really enjoyed what you have here, everything is really solid and it makes me want to see more. It managed to glue me to the screen with an uneasy but curious feeling. Good job!

finally I get to review your game :) and just like you had to hustle in my game, I had to hustle in yours to avoid those monsters!

Really enjoyed it, the opening scenes also gave it a really nice and rounded feel.

One tiny suggestion for you: You should lock the ability to move and use ability while this opening is playing. Sometimes I would be dead before it even started :) But that is a small thing.

Great little game overall!

thanks for playing :) yeah in it's current form, a lot of luck is involved for sure (getting close/ easy spawns). some people blast through it, some have trouble even finding just a few. we would have to implement some difficulty levels I guess!

no worries, I feel you. Life always finds a way to get in the way, time is always too short. We also had to sacrifice features and polish in favour of getting a playable build done, but that doesn't always work and it's easy to get lost in the details. :)

You even took the extra step to make your own art, so be proud of that!

thanks, that's yet another cool idea! if you check our page you also see that we had quite more features in mind which we sadly couldn't implement. Maybe we'll extend this project with some of these ideas in the future!

edit: and of course the I'll also make sure to check out your game as soon as I can!

thanks, glad you had fun , hope it was not too hard, we had little time to balance the timer :)

I'll make sure to try your game and give feedback as soon as I can!

thank you, looks like you still hold the highscore for now :D

thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it :) I'll make sure to check out your game as well in the next days!

This is indeed something I was thinking about as well today, after seeing a friend struggle with it. Either what you said, or audible sounds from the remote after it has not been found for a while.

Thank you so much for playing my game and feedback <3
