If anyone is interested i would appreciate some feedback. Not just directly about the game but perhaps things i could do better next time i make one

https://ggezstudios.itch.io/graveyardshift

wow this game sweeps 10/10 love the puzzle style and clever use of the tv theme

ayy Thanks, and yesss. i was originally just going to use there tv asset somehow but decided i would attempt to draw one first and came out with that after a few sketches

no its not particularly big. with the engine code for debugging its like 2gb and the shipping build (the game file) is somewhere around 332Mb i assume it could be a windows Bit issue, i havent tested if it works with 32bit windows. or even tested it on windows 10

also im really sorry about that

well.. congrats on being my first crash lol could you tell me your system specs ie windows 11/10 etc cpu / gpu and ram size so i can warn people on the store page until i figure it out

fun little short story. actually really liked the idea and style, only wish it was a longer or had a puzzle or two for more lore as when it ended i kept waiting to see if there might be more lol i wanted to keep playing. that being said it did what it was built to do 11/10

Glad you liked it :) thanks for checking it out

Really loved it. felt pretty polished, in my playthrough, The suno song is pretty funny... this will def- be high in the jam list for sure

Yeah. hind sight should've done a hands on tutorial my dumbahh thought the how to play in the menu would be enough even though i watched my buddy ignore it when he play tested it for me to which he practically had the same problems note to future self. almost always do in-game tutorials Thanks for playing and the feedback!!! :)

Love the style you went with. always been a fan of it. also like the way you delivered the lore of the game... also idk if im crazy but can you confirm if strafing makes you faster?

at work atm but can't wait to try yours out. Interested to see how you handled the them And if you're interested here's mine https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3973411

thanks, it was a fun process learning to draw stuff for this jam angles and perspectives are kinda hard lol luckily lot of it was 2d

Question:
and a follow up to anyone who might know. is simplyStream for ue legit? would like to have a web build or something next time and dont even know where to start on that

Really fun game overall. love the vibe! this also made me realize why people fell in love with asteroids and i might have a new addiction

glad you liked it! W. also yea well originally i wanted it to be an encouragement to not let them spawn much ie keep the coffin spawns down or risk the blue orb pickups BUT way to late into development i figured out that its kinda hard/probably impossible to do with the RNG spawning which is why i upped how often health spawns rn lol im gonna need to rework how that goes down. but im waiting till after the jam to do any reworks. if/when i have time after work ill so some spawn limiting cause i dont want the game crashing on people (i havent noticed this as a problem just a possibility) otherwise trying to keep the original build up in good spirit of the jam

11/10 though i might've rage quit at 2:38 get a mobile port and phones will go flying just like flappy bird did lol really fun though great work!

Ayy i appreciate the feedback and yea i still had a lot i need & wanted to do, but next thing i knew it monday had a crunch  over the weekend to try and get something playable. As the dev. im pretty happy thats its somewhat playable. but as a gamer i know theres a lot i need to do and that side almost caused me to just not submit it,  felt unfinished. With your blessing definitely gonna look into the aid tower idea, as i get it into a more polished state also also just got home from work. Once i get settled gonna check out your work happy early holloween!!

made one myself lol thought it would look cool first game I've ever made so its kinda bad but it does technically have a loop start and end https://ggezstudios.itch.io/graveyardshift

if it excites you Absolutely not,

in the live they said you don't have to use this you can make your own or something like that.  at 31:29

Hell yea. gonna snatch that up once it drops for sure. Actually surprised there wasn't a donate option on the page for this tool already (or at least i couldnt find anything to do so)

11/10!!!. after giving the program a few test runs. i kinda love it. it makes feeling out information quicker and smooth only thing i think i would like added personally which i have in my obsidian template is a section dedicated to marketing/publishing  just so i have a general layout of how the release will look though i like this is more game development focused by default so maybe it could be a toggle-able optional section you decide to do it but either way awesome work with it and kinda wish i came across it sooner

also you dont gotta use their tv model you can use your own or find another but its basically that

refresh the page. or watch the live they go in depth. tldr you gotta add the TV model they made and provide on the page and the twist is optional challenges

this is actually Goated.  downloading it rn. i normally use a template i have in obsidian but interested in seeing how this program works and if it provides a better visual / clarity
