I think this is one of the best games I’ve encountered in this jam! The main game mechanic is amazing and really smart, the puzzles are great, and the game looks really good! Even the UI fits the art style of the game. Great job!
Really cool escalation of the central mechanic. Some of the puzzles have pretty big shortcuts if you're clever about it. Feels more like a feature than a flaw, in my opinion. B̶̤͌i̷̗͝s̴͇̆c̸̤̆ṳ̴̐i̵͍̔t̷̠̅ ̵̕ͅo̴̘͘b̸̐ͅt̷̫͊a̵̱͆í̴̻n̷̳̔e̷̻͝d̵̝̈.̶̰͠
wow what an amazing game. I instantly got The Witness vibes out of it.
Took my a while to figure out what's going on (my brain when full parkour mode in beginning, thinking it was some kind crash course game), but after looking behind me I saw the first puzzle and in clicked with me (maybe add some kind of guide or directions for the first puzzle?).
The puzzle's themselves are really unique and interesting (my brain exploded when all the changing perspective stuff came out to play), but I really wish there was a sensitivity option, it was super fast on my pc, and it made the challenge way harder.
overall, one of the best games I have seen in this jam. bravo! I could totally see this being developed as a full game.
p.s
great portal 2 easter egg :)
Wow! The visuals and core idea are brilliant. The gameplay is quite simple but very addictive. Truly one of the best works of the jam!
Two small suggestions: mouse sensitivity settings and a slightly different dot movement sound. But overall — outstanding work!
ok, wait... THAT'S SO GOOD!!!
I really love every thing about this game, the level design, the unique mechanic, the audio, the overall visuals! Amazing, and you have to keep working on this game after the jam!!!
Such a shame not enough people give a chance to downloadable games, i guess that's their loss~
This is an amazing game, I'm surprised it's not more popular! First, the limits of my patience have been tested and broadly expanded, given how I didn't break anything. The visuals are beautiful and the audio is very ambient, which suits the game. The mechanisms are simple and reminiscent of a childhood game my cousins used to play, so I'm glad I got to experience a bit of that again.
THIS IS SOOOOO GOOD! If this were longer and more expanded, I would definitely buy it on Steam, no question asked. Not sure if this is the end, but I think I've got 509? This is a strange number. But regardless, I have a lot of fun. This felt like a love child by The Witness and Antichamber, it's so minimalist, yet the buzz wire game mechanics fit so well with the style. The game is quite polished too, with well-designed puzzles and small details such as the "buzz" sound and the burnt marks. Just perfect.
There are just a few nitpicks I could think of. The first one is that there is just no background sound in the game. I think you don't need some full-on music, but at least some ambient sound would do. I would also say the white puzzles are a bit harsh on the eye, and making them nearly invisible is just evil. As for some quality of life stuff, I think the game would benefit from some slow/precise movement mode. Something like a slow mouse moving mode when pressing shift or whatever. This wouldn't break the difficulty, but just ease the jittery of some mouse inputs.
Anyway, this is probably the best game I've played this jam. Well done!
Whoa — puzzles?! My absolute favorite. I lost hours to this, restarting again and again like a masochist with a mission :D
It was tough, no lie, but something kept pulling me back. “Just one more try…” you know how it goes.
Visuals? 10/10. Gave me serious Portal vibes, but with your own delicious twist. Stylish, slick, and full of personality.
Honestly had a blast playing! Huge thanks for that dopamine rush of solving stuff!
Only real hiccup? At first, I wasn’t totally sure where to even start or which way to go to unlock the fun :D
But hey, ended up exploring every nook and cranny, and that turned into its own little adventure. Silver lining!
Probably the best puzzle game I've played this jam so far. The level design is intuitive and the puzzles themselves are challenging but fun. There is just enough cheese potential to make the player feel smart for skipping levels using perspective tricks. There is very little I could suggest besides a smoother control and options to change mouse sensitivity. This is one of the few games I would wholeheartedly see a full release. Great work.
Full star rating, this is an amazing entry! The sound, graphics, gameplay - everything fits so perfectly together. It's clear that this isn't your first game! 🤩
Also, the puzzle ideas where quite fun and imaginative. I had a huge "ooooooh!" moment with this one.
Really interesting game! The mechanics are pretty unique and the puzzle design was super clever. I will say, the lack of mouse sensitivity really made the game a bit stressful/frustrating, but putting that aside, the design was very well done. Good job!
ok this is great, although as others have said it really really really needs a mouse sensitivity setting. The counter says I got 188 biscuits, are there more? I did both the white puzzles, but nothing happened when I reached the end of the left one, is that a bug?
Thanks for playing! I checked it many times and it should work, but yes, unfortunately it's a bug. Anyway, you're the first person to find all the biscuits. Congratulations!
This one deserves more attention! That was really really cool. One strong mechanic with some interesting spacial reasoning puzzles. Very atmospheric environment and background sounds. Love the fact that the little zap marks persist to show how many attempts it took to get through a spot. Only bug was a few times I got the energy ball off the track and it wouldn't interact with anything until I looked back at the last checkpoint. I think this could be adapted into a very cool VR game btw. Well done!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like it. The game is built on the Unreal Engine, so it should work already on VR thanks to UEVR (open source mod), but I don't have any VR headset, so I can't check it out.
Oh interesting! Well fair enough, maybe some day! Haha
This one is really neat! I really love how the puzzles expand upon each other, it seemed like a simple line connecting puzzle game but it got so much more complex it was great, and there was so much hidden! I caught that Portal easter egg btw.
[SPOILER WARNING]
PEAK AMBIENT AND PUZZLE, had alot of fun trying to solve them with the least amount of traversed lines
My only complain is that, except for the ending, i didn't quite get the risk, maybe you could add some sort of shortcuts or ways to cheese the puzzle even more, at the costs of making it harder (less checkpoints, thinner lines,...)
oh and pleaseeee mouse sensitivity setting.
Except for that I LOVED IT
Great game! Managed to get 65 biscuits and reach the exit, not sure if I missed anything.
Quality was really high. Good ambience and a solid idea. Felt like a game I would buy on steam.
A mouse sensitivity setting would be a nice addition, felt like I was playing on hard mode with mine haha.
Really good job.
Mouse sensitivity, of course! I overlooked such an obvious option, I will definitely add it in an update after the jam, thanks!
broke my bran :(
Why? :(
because im stupid
PEAK
Puzzle games are hard to make because you have to make something that a user can figure out, but make it wrack their brain or something so they get satisfaction from it.
One of my favorite things in this game is that the puzzles are very cheeseable but in a good way. Let me explain, on one part there's a giant winding black line that goes like a roundabout, and I'm like hell naw, not doing that, but then after some time I figure out that I can get the light to just jump immediately to the target position by perfectly aligning my cursor with the beginning, and I immediately am like, wow I am good at video games!
Making your puzzles have cool and think-out-of-the-box shortcuts are amazing, and I can't even tell if it's intended or not.
I would do the bonus cookie segments but I'm tired right now, so I'll think about it later. (Never mind it doesn't save my progress, I can't do it now. :( Note: not to say I want progress saving, there's no way you can pull that off in such a short time)
The graphics and lighting are very good as well, which is pretty amazing as visuals are normally not a huge focus of puzzle games.
Highly underrated masterpiece, deserves at least a hundred more ratings.
Thanks for playing and detailed review! Shortcuts are planned, except for those that were not planned, but if it did not spoil the game and the player is satisfied, it means that the goal has been achieved :) I think the low number of ratings is mainly due to the lack of a web version and monochromatic, non eye-catching visuals. I didn't foresee this, it's my first jam on itch.io.
The game is insanely well made, I'm very impatient and failed.. A LOT, anyway, this's the best puzzle game I've played so far!! > v<
Thanks for playing! Happy to hear that :)
Thanks for playing! I will try to improve most things in the updates after the jam.
