Thanks for playing!

For each minigame, I made a script that can let me change a resource(sort of like a JSON file) of all the stats that can be changed for each minigame, like for example the Disco fish has min and max rotation speed, chance of anticlockwise, spawn location range, stuff like that. This made it really easy to scale the difficulties, and make minigames harder or easier just by changing the stats.

Ya, I agree the ninja minigame is way too hard, it's the only 4 star where I cannot beat (I get 0% lol), I definitely need to nerf it. A simple fix might be just to increase the Z index of the main orb so it always shows above the other orbs, as well as definitely reducing the number of orbs.

Thanks for the compliments! 😊

Alright finished! Good job!

I really like the concept of the grappling hook, however there were a few problems.

The grappling hook was really buggy and I couldn't play the game as intended due to this. Sometimes it would barely move, sometimes it would hook on the air, and sometimes it would fly to the stratosphere and hook on the ceiling. These can definitely be fixed, and I'm so sorry that you couldn't fix these issues due to time constraints.

The environment is very good, and the graphics are nice. The music is also quite nice too, good job!

Overall, a game that suffers from bugs on its core mechanic. The polishing is done really well though, good job!

Finished! Decent game 😊

Really cool game!

A lot of people have been saying how difficult this game is, and it's mainly because of a lack of a very important game mechanic, which is invincibility frames. Currently, the zombies damage you every frame that they attack, which causes a lot of problems, the first of which is knocking you into a wall and basically making you stuck. I am not sure how you check collision for the player, but a pretty good solution is to just take no knockback against a direction when your hitbox is touching a wall.

Do you know Sans🩻  from Undertale? He's a pretty well-known character, and his boss fight is infamous for being extremely hard. There are a couple gimmicks he has that makes him this hard, one of which is Karma💜 poisoning, which is not relevant here, and the second is that he ignores your i-frames, which means he damages you every frame, which means he kills you in seconds if you're touching one of his attacks. Now, this guy is meant to be the hardest boss in a rather difficult game, and every other enemy in the game follows the i-frame rules, being only able to damage you only once every 30 frames(with some exceptions).

Now contrast this with your game, where the zombies damage you every frame, killing you in seconds. Sure, they die from a few bullets, but they can also ignore walls, and come from behind you, and instantly kill you when you're in a dead end. Just 25 frames of invincibility (of course buffing the zombies to go with it) can significantly improve the game, and will make it way fairer. Of course this is just a suggestion, as in the timeframe we don't really think about these stuff.

The gameplay is quite fun regardless and the Riskuit🍪 mechanic is pretty innovative! I like roguelite gameplay, and this game implements it decently, making me want to play more. I do have skill issue tho, and couldn't make it very far.

Overall, a pretty good game! Definitely deserves more ratings. Good job.👍

Finished! Criminally underrated game.

The best I could do. I couldn't find the other 3 cookies, but I got all the ones I could find.
WOW. Just wow. The amount of quality put into this is incredible.

First of all, the world. Using 3D models to make a level is hard, using 3D models to make a whole town square-like area, with a fountain, garden, and buildings? It's amazing how you managed to put together all the models into this map in such a short time, and somehow making it feel as in-place as possible.

The game's visuals are really good. The lighting over the world is really cool, and really reinforces the high quality.

The controls also work really well! I really liked driving around with the rather intuitive system, it was fun doing all the trick jumps to get the cookies. The reverse camera is also a not-needed but rather awesome addition, allowing for smooth moving while reversing.

This game is very polished! You implemented a neat UI, good graphics, and NPC passengers in a fraction of the time I would probably take to do one of them.

It's always nice to see another Godot developer, even more so because it's a 3D Godot game, which are uncommon, and this is really high quality too! Truly a great talent in the community.

This game is criminally underrated. I believe it deserves magnitudes more ratings, and I hope you can get more people to play your game!

Finished! Very underrated game, more people should try this.

Wow... very unique role-playing style game! This is severely underrated.

Out of every game I've played, no game does the environment as well as this one. While I was playing, it really felt like I was a spooky forest, having to be wary and on guard of potential dangers. The choice of music and the dark gloomy surroundings make this an amazing game.

May I get the source of your music? Ty 😊

The gameplay is quite simple, but it's quite unique. In this jam, among all the "regular" games, your team made a point-and-click game where you have to conserve your resources. I had to think about future consequences while I was using my essence, and had to make sure that I left enough essence for future challenges. Amazing concept.

This game is very polished, I really like how the assets may be simple but it works so well. There is even some deep character dialogue that really enhances the gameplay.

Like I said, this is really underrated. I really wish that this game could have more ratings, and if you try really hard to promote it in these last few days of the rating period, you might be able to get more.

Amazing game!

Ya, 4-star instantly wins you the game($3000 at 100%) if you don't get condemned. Thanks for playing!

Finished! 👾🍪🍪🍪👾

This is an incredibly underrated game! I like the concept and execution.

There is currently a bug, where sometimes the walls don't spawn in, and the map is just an empty box. I'm not actually sure if this is intended.

The gameplay is functional, however it could do a bit better with some extra features(like more powerups). The core gameplay is there and it's solid. however adding more variety would be awesome.

A nitpick I have is that the pink cookie power-up is way too overpowered, it's really easy to shred 2 of the 3 ghosts and start farming cookies with just one power-up use. Maybe the ghost pathfinding needs an improvement, however making the ghosts respawn after a short while could be a simple yet effective solution.

The visuals are really good, I like how the walls look somewhat 2.5d, which is really hard for an amateur like me to draw.  The simple yet consistent art style is great for a game of this scope. Music in this game is also quite nice, I really liked the 8-bit music style.

The leaderboard really boosts the game a lot in my opinion, it gives the player something to work towards. I might think of implementing it in my own games.

Great game! Like I said, this is very underrated, deserves more ratings.

Finished! 🍪🍰🍪

Very simple concept, but with all the cool additions it turns into a very fun game!

I like how you have to be really attentive of the food to fully ensure you don't do wrongly. At really high speeds it becomes a really intense reaction game, which is very fun. My eyes were basically squinting, trying to make sure I don't miss anything at a point.

The leaderboard is like... WOW. You somehow managed to implement a server database in a jam game, which my monkey brain cannot handle. It really enhances the experience while playing, as competing for the high scores is really fun. I think I'm on the leaderboard.

The visuals are simple but very nice! I like the simple style.

Good game!

If it won't bother you, could you take time to play my game? It's fine if you can't do it, but it would be awesome if you tried my game 😊

Finished!  Couldn't really play it tho 😔

There's a very big bug when I'm playing this that the character can really only move in 1 direction with some minor direction turns. After a bit of input testing, I feel like the issue lies in the directions not corresponding to the velocity or something that doesn't work on my pc. If it works fine on yours, then it's definitely something to do with my pc as I am currently using a really old one.

The 3D models are quite good! Good job on this.

Sorry I couldn't write a fully detailed review as I can't really play this game.

Finished! 👍

Nice take on the block pushing puzzle game type! The was quite fun, trying to get the guys into the cookie by letting them walk into it is a pretty good concept.

The theme is really only followed story-wise, and with the story being sorta detached from the gameplay, it makes it not really follow the theme all that much. Regardless, gameplay should be the focus, so it's fine.

Good game! 👍

Finished!

This was a very fun and polished game! I can see that a lot of passion was put into this game to make sure the user has the best experience possible.

A minor nitpick I had with the game was the theming. In the story, you are risking your life to get the biscuits, but in the gameplay, there really isn't any risk elements (dying isn't really considered a form of risk unless there may be luck elements or choices for the user involved).

Fulfilling the theme in the story is a bit weaker than showing it through gameplay, however it still works! Following the theme too well really shouldn't be the main focus, as we're just trying to make a good game.

The art is nice! I like how the butter gets bigger with more ammo, nice detail. The intro cutscene was also very well detailed with a voiceover, awesome way to show the story.

The gameplay is quite good and simple, I like it. Shooting and dodging enemies is a pretty good recipe for an engaging game.

The final boss is quite challenging but still feasible, definitely quite a spike from the part before it.  Very good boss 👍

Incredibly polished game! Good job.

Charming game ❤️

Simple but fulfilling and charming first game. I hope you had fun learning Godot!

Good maze game! ❤️

(1 edit)

Very neat game! I really like the structure/layout of the maze, it was possible to escape Carl while still being under danger if you didn't understand the layout of the maze.

Speaking of Carl, the pathfinding is really good! Carl is not smart enough to instantly fly towards you(which is good, that would be unfair) however he can still catch you because he's faster than you!

The assets are quite simple but work very well. I like how you didn't have to make the game in 3D but still decided to stick with it and the extra challenges it brings.

Overall, good first game!

Hold up guys, I'll be rating your games tmrw, don't drown me in links pls

Thanks for playing! I'll be getting to your game soon.

I finished playing! Good casino 🎲

THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS!

Incredibly polished and fun game.

Gambling is life, gambling is crazy. The core gameplay loop is the most pure interpretation of the theme, you are doing exactly what it says, risking it for the biscuit  ( + ).

Some nitpicks however, 95% of my money at the end was from the red button doubles and triples. When you hit the hundred thousands, those are like the only way to substantially increase your bank, which is kind of annoying. There isn't any major issue however, kudos to your team.

The graphics are great! Very polished, I quite like the style. The whole atmosphere suits what you are doing. Something I want to ask, was the game made in 3D (Godot) or was it just drawn to look 3D (in the 2D engine)? Either way, that's awesome!

The games are simple but fun! This simulates a casino decently (I think, I've never went to one before), and I really like the idea of washing dishes when you're broke. Very cool.

Overall, a pretty simple but good concept and execution!

Nice game!

Great game!

Really, I have no big complains with this game! The text-based information may be kind of annoying to some, but they really are the core part of the game(they are supposed to be misleading). The only real complain I have is that the 2nd doctor threshold is far too high and comes too fast to allow beginners to experiment around a bit.

At one point, I thought that the circular chest pattern was the whirl chest pattern, and missed a lot of chests because of this. Just major skill issue though.

The gameplay is quite fun! Even if I have to kind of squint at the chest, trying to make sure I don't miss potential money, it's a very fun gameplay loop! Trying to keep in mind what I know about the different types of everything and successfully destroying a day is very rewarding.

The theming is rather solid. With each guess, you are risking potential money and reputation, and even though with enough analyzing there really isn't any risk, however we all make mistakes, and it can be kind of annoying to see 4 chests missed at the end screen.

Most games in the jam(including my game) lacks any cohesive story, which is often overlooked in favour of gameplay(which is smart, we don't have nearly enough time to add our own in-depth character arcs or whatever), and is never needed in a game, however adding some kind of story, if vague, is still pretty nice.

The multiple endings is a very cool addition! It was not at all required or requested, and yet your team still decided to implement it anyway. Very cool.

The visuals are very good. It's a great deal of polish for a jam game, and I love it.

Rather underrated game, I think this deserves more ratings.

Alright played! Simple but nice game!

Very goofy and simple game that somehow still manages to be a bit scary! Getting jump scared is really scary somehow haha

Follows the theme well, I like it. Nice game.

I played your game!

Sorry, your game doesn't meet the requirements(too many ratings)

I actually played this before the jam was over (wasted a good 10 minutes from actually jamming) and played it again now! The environment and surrounding is very, very good for a game jam, with it making me feel like I'm actually playing on top of an office building.

A couple minor complaints, first of RNG. Due to how slow the robot is, it's a lot harder to achieve a better time if a chicken spawns in with inconvenient colours/in bad locations/both.

The robot being this slow also makes the gameplay very slow, which does incentivize planning out instead of going blind for it, which is fine but as you are trying to implement risk, this doesn't really fit. This also makes it more annoying to play again as it's very punishing with bad RNG, which kind of defeats the point of trying to get a high score. I could see the robot being slightly faster.

Unfortunately, this game is a puzzle game, which makes it hard to implement risk. This game really doesn't have any risk, as planning ahead and remembering rooms always guarantees a short path.

The music is quite good, and the art style is very distinct and special. I like the chickens drawing and the robot model, they look very in-depth.

This is a rather innovative puzzle game, needing you to not only remember the rooms for faster success but also plan out how you want to reach your destination correctly in as fast a time as possible. I really like how you can use the chicken cam to see the location of where to place the chicken behind you, it's quite unique identifying the goal like this.

Like I said, the environments and the surroundings are top-notch, and along with all the funny voice lines, this makes for one of the most polished games I've seen. Kudos on making such a polished game in the timeframe!

Overall, a pretty good and VERY well-polished game that suffers a bit from theming issues and slow-paced gameplay. Good job!

The community has been less active now, and I feel like I can finally post one of these without getting bombarded by way more games than I can handle.

I will write detailed reviews (to the best of my ability).

Requirements:

  • Under 50 ratings
  • Windows or browser(I'll download your games!)
  • Not take more than 30min

While I'm at it, you can play my game too 😊 ty

Edit: I'll try to rate games in order of least ratings to most ratings, and if you have played my game, then I will try to play your game first.

Thanks for playing! Yaa... when going solo in a jam, you need to put in a lot of time. I put in about 40+ hours, however I know of devs who had to spend a LOT more time to refine every aspect of their game.

Thanks for playing! I started the jam with an idea of some sort of cooking game like Cooking Mama with Overcooked level star ratings, and I went and added different fishes to make it unique.

Thanks for playing! The art style is the classic low quality pixel art style, which is apparently the only one I can draw. 😂
