I'm blown away by how entrancing those arrow tails are!  The little auras that flow down the chain and the ultimate explosion of all the accumulated arrows is super juicy.  In the latter part of the run, its super fun to flaunt your skills and juggle a bunch of cookies simultaneously.  I also like the risk aspect of having to use the lance super close to the character in order to pop a crit.

Very fun.  Awesome work!

I’m happy I could find this game randomly in the rate submission page, I had a lot of fun, but I’m biased because I really like this kind of game! ^^

It’s a simple shmup but it’s has a great way to make it interesting and hard, more at the later part of the stage, I really like this "parry" implementation to keep hitting the cookie/biscuit to keep scoring points, you really have to put yourself in a risky situation to get a good highscore which really fits with the theme of the jam. If your gamble isn’t good, you get punished but the recovery is nice because it slows down and I like that, it gives time to have a nice position again and not get hit too fast again unless you risk everything again haha

I like the position of the waves, it’s nice to have something defined but it’s a bit slow when you miss the last part of the wave because there isn’t much to do if that happens, which is ok, I can use that calm before the storm to get a better position for the next wave

The art is great, I really like it, the witch is cute and the cookies look delicious. The game displays the damage to the enemy well and it has a natural way to show the amount of attacks the enemy will do. I like the magic lance animation, everything has great feedback to know what is happening on screen, I didn’t feel lost while playing, maybe the 1st time while I see how the game was but from my second run, the game felt clear

The soundtrack is good, I think for shmups, songs are key and this game has that point, I could play for a while and probably I’ll come back to get a better highscore because I had lots of fun playing this game :)

I think the only thing I could say is, it would be good to have a button to restart the level and not just one to go to the main menu to restart the game at the end of each run, it isn’t annoying but could give a faster attempt for the next run. And I would like to see a boss haha, only for the sake of having one, the game is fun but that would be the cherry on the top, even if that is a simple one. But other than this, I can’t think of anything to say, the game is great and I like the way it is

I really loved the visuals and the music. The way you fit the theme into the game was very unique and I haven't seen anyone do the same as of yet. I think the game is very well polished and for it being just you working on it within the time constraints, you should be very proud of what you made. Awesome job! I like the choice of colour palette & how much movement there is on screen! Would love to perhaps see a boss battle at the end. Only managed about 6k biscuit but that's due to simply spamming the attacks. So its possible to get 24k eh?

Boss battle! That's a great idea,
but the game's current feel lacks a sense of completion.

Apparently, you can get 24k points by doing the following. I haven't managed it yet, though:
- Return as many biscuits as possible with a Critical hit.
- Attach your cursor to a biscuit with a long lifespan.

This game's scoring system works by having the cursor attached to a biscuit increase its biscuit accumulation through certain events.
For example, when you return a biscuit, the number of cursors is added to your biscuit accumulation by 1x for a hit, 2x for a good hit, and 4x for a critical hit.

Next, when you return a critical hit, all the cookies on the screen will say "Bonus." At this time, the number of cursors for all cookies on the screen will be multiplied by 1.
In other words, the best score is achieved by not dodging and instead getting all critical hits.

Cool game, reminded me of the oldschool japanese arcade bullet hell games. 

I was wondering if I could even die since I was doing so well without any challenge for so long. And ended my run by just crashing into things.

Thinking sound effects could be louder, currently it doesn't match the visuals. And then some challenges/goals

The Game is Genuinely fun men! Good work right there. I want to say that i would want to be able to move all directions like left and right, but i had a lot of fun! Btw did you do the portrait? because it looks sick!

I can honestly see myself playing this outside of the jam, really fun!! The art is super nice, and the gameplay works well! As I was playing, I felt a bit constrained by not being able to move left and right, but that might have only been me. Really nice work!

Whaat this was seriously fun! I think the enemy projectiles were too similar to the enemies, so it was difficult to see them, but apart from that, very unique concept.

I thought about that, but in the end I went with what it is now.
The enemies and the projectiles were more similar than I thought, so I decided not to change them too much.

...Maybe if I made them like KFC biscuits they'd be easier to tell apart, since they're different colours.
