Such a fun game! Loved playing it !

I continued playing after the stream, so much fun!

Developer

Thank you for the comment! Happy you enjoyed the game with all its flaws. The team is very happy and proud of what we were able to accomplish in this Jam.

Lots of fun to pop bubbles on my tablet 🫧

The way I spent an embarrassingly long time at my computer sitting there, slack mouthed because I was so focused on popping all my podlings' bubbles... So cute!

Developer

I am happy you had fun! Thank you for the comment.

Some really nice elements to this, I was a bit confused how to start but started getting the hang after a while

Developer

Good to see you were able to figure it out. One of our primary concerns was onboarding. We kinda rushed it towards the end there.

OK I will admit I did not see the upgrade  icon until several minutes into gameplay because it was behind the itch overlay xD

Very fun concept! Collecting and hatching the "fish" was very fun. The UI was  a bit messy with the collection behind the gacha machine and everything on-screen.

I did encounter a bug a couple times where you would click the gacha, take your bubbles and not release anything

The music was well used but the loop was too short so it grained after a bit, the feeding was the one part I wished I could automate.

The aquarium style and fish puns were fantastic!!

Developer

Sorry to see you had a not-too-good experience with the UI.

If you don’t mind me asking, did you play on the Web Build? Also, what Browser did you use? Lastly, were you on a Mobile or a Computer?

Need to track down the issues you faced.

The game itself is highly enjoyable! Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.

To clarify further because I just realize I did a terrible job at describing: Played on web build, Brave browser for PC. (current v AKA 1.81.137)

What I meant with the UI being messy was the elements floating on top of each other, like bubbles/fish. For some reason last time I played it the "collection" screen was bigger and it clipped behind the gacha machine as well (which I mentioned), probably a web resolution related bug? (sorry I don't have a screenshot of that), now after retrying it the collection tab was smaller I presume as intended?

Still, because I didn't say so on the original post: I had a great time with the game itself, hatching creatures and discovering the different kinds of fish. Thank you all so much for submitting!

Always loooove a good aquarium game, your art style is adorable and the game loop is nice ! Well done !! ✨🎉

Thank you so much  n_n ðŸ©·

I had some trouble with the UI getting in the way of gameplay and the gachapon blocking the fish gallery thing on browser, but that did not get in the way of my fun playing this game! The visuals are beautiful and popping the bubbles is super addictive! I enjoyed the variety of the fish designs like some made me laugh and others made me go wow so pretty! I wish I could zoom out a little more as the tank gets bigger >< they started to feel too crowded as I got more and more fish in that tank

Developer

I'm glad you liked the fish designs. Thank you for your feedback <3

Jerry, I LOVED this game, and adored the idea of being able to upgrade the tank and evolve the fish. This art style is SO fresh and beautiful. Fantastic work!!

The UI is also fantastic and clean.

A few notes:

I'm not sure if this was just me on the web build (or me being bad at stuff), but I did unfortunately get a little stuck and could not proceed with my lil fishie stuck in the corner and was no longer making bubbles. Maybe this is a web build issue?

My only other comment is that I would have loved a longer audio clip for the game! (but I love that you can lower the music and SFX audio!)

Developer

Thank you for the comment!!!

Sadly, the BGM was a rushed attempt towards the end there >.<; and 100% agree with you on the fact that the BGM was waaaay too short.

As per the bug, probably LOL, I have noticed that the Web build was not as stable as I would have wished. Gonna be cleaning up the game after the Jam.

I think this screenshot says everything I want to say about this amazing game.

Now to get a massage for my clicking muscles

I cant!!!!! DEAD. Thank you for the comment!

This is beautiful<3 peak gameplay. Thanks for playing!

I really like the concept of the game! Raising fishes as gacha capsule  to see what they could become  was exciting. A nice polished experience overall. Though  the notification text pop-up and music could be tweaked a bit as  they started to bother me  the longer I play.

Other than that, it's still a banger of a game! Would love to see upgrade system that can automate some mechanics. Maybe an auto-feeder or bubble collector?

Great work!!

Cute and I liked the designs for the fish! The music was also good, and good UI!

I enjoyed the bubble popping sounds and like managing  the aquarium. Having more upgrades would be nice aside from the tank size. Each fish growing up was surprising to see so I looked forward to that. The BGM loop was a bit short for a  game where you do spend quite a bit of time in. I tried muting it but that also muted the sfx. I think UI wise, some more responsiveness when things are clicked and knowing what you're hovering over would be helpful.

This game is so cute, i love the gameplay of clicking bubbles which this was a pretty good take on the theme, Like what other people said the BGM does get a little annoying when its looping every few second, and sadly i think i encountered a bug where after i upgraded the first tank level, somehow the prompt of upgrading fishtank to the next level keeps on appearing, like i keep clicking on the button. Anyway, great job making this game :>

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

This game is so qt!! I love the art and gameplay and all the clever puns!
Audio-wise, I ended up muting the bgm volume after the first minute because it kept looping every few seconds. The bubble popping sfx really made the game feel more fun, maybe varying the pitch slightly for each pop would have added a little extra oomph to the game

I really enjoyed this entry!

Developer

Thank you, and I like your idea of varied bubble sfx, might have to do that!

This game is such a gem! I love the puns and the art style. I was so surprised when I saw a marge shrimpson pop out lol. It has a ton of polish - amazing job â™¡

A couple of things I noticed:
- I kept accidentally clicking on the buttons when trying to go for bubbles, I think a solution could be to make the tank shorter or skinnier and put them above/below/or beside the tank instead of inside
- The Eelton John swaps to the Hello Catfish hungry model when hungry. I thought I lost my eel lol

Developer

Thank you so much for your comment! I’m a bit sad to hear that you found that unexpected feature LOL.

Developer

Thank you n_n

I noticed a few minor glitches like fish sprites changing when hungry or the music slider also changing the sound effect volume, but the game is surprisingly addictive. I think it's the sound of the bubbles popping and just how many are flowing out after a certain point. I'm not sure I even understood what was going on, but I was loving it. Also the collection UI seems to show behind the fish, but I almost find the bug endearing like it's an actual pet getting in the way because they didn't know any better.

Developer

Thank you so much for the comment! I am happy to see you thought it was fun! I know!! Stop!! lol i was playing and then noticed Eelton Jhon turn into Hello Catfish. Dead. I wanted to leave work and fix everything but hey. Lol Again thanks!

Pretty neat game, love the art!

I know they did amazing!! Thank you!

Developer

thank you!

Very unique take on "gacha" by interpering the "pon" as "pond"! I love the polish and lighting done to the fish which make them really shine even if it's just pixel art. I think the bubble counter in the corner could have "bubbles" in the label as I was confused on what to do (but only very briefly). Congrats on the entry!

Developer

Yes! That or maybe made the numbers look like bubbles? The artists did amazing.

Developer

I came up with the name! :3 thank you!

Submitted(+2)

This is a really creative concept! I loved that the initial fish are gachapons, until they hatch into some media reference - it kept me playing for about 20 minutes. My only complaints are: the UI is obscured by the gacha machine, and the text is confused about what is happening on the screen lol

I'd love to play a full version of this someday.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!!!!

I love that you kept playing and I understand 100% on the UI. I kinda slapped thing up there at the last second not gonna lie >.> Sadly we had the UI layout all planned out but… well, timing LOL

And yes… the dreaded dialog system, I know >.> I need to tweak it.
