From stickers and trinkets to creatures and memories, collection mechanics are everywhere in games! Whether it’s a cozy scrapbook, a thrilling trading adventure, or a world where everything must be gathered—this theme is all about the joy of collecting. 

💖 Rules & Guidelines

✅ Do:
✔ Be kind, supportive, and respectful to everyone.
✔ Work solo or in teams.
✔ Use any game engine or framework you like.
✔ Use pre-made assets only if you have proper licensing and provide credits. 

❌ Don’t:
✖ Submit large amounts of AI-generated code, art, or music (see FAQ for details)
✖ Submit the same game to multiple game jams. 
✖ Include NSFW, 18+, or discriminatory content.
✖ Submit after the deadline (avoid last-minute stress by uploading early!).

🎮 Submitting Your Game

Game Info: Include a short description and a how to play guide. 

Credits: List all assets, music, or art used.

Submission Format: Upload a browser game or a zip file only.

🚨 Important: Once the deadline passes, files cannot be changed during the voting period!

🌟 Rating Criteria After submissions close, participants will have three weeks to play and rate each other’s games. Games will be judged based on:

💖 Theme: How well does it fit the theme?
🧡 Gameplay: Are the mechanics smooth and engaging?
💛 Fun: Is the game enjoyable to play?
💚 Visuals: Are the designs eye-catching and fabulous?
💙 Audio: Is the sound design immersive and fitting?
💜 Innovation: Does the game bring a fresh twist to girly games?

Beyond the glory of creating an amazing game, the winning teams and individuals for the Girly Game Jam #2 will receive some awesome perks for our next jam!

• First Place: The winner will have an opportunity to suggest a theme for the next jam
  and will get 15 voting points in the next theme selection poll.
• Second Place: The runner-up will receive 10 voting points in the next theme selection poll.
• Third Place: Our third-place entry will earn 5 voting points in the next theme selection poll.

📝 Do I need to be a girl to participate? 

Nope! The Girly Game Jam is open to everyone! 🌈 The goal is to create games that embrace girly aesthetics and themes, but anyone is welcome to bring their unique perspective. We encourage diversity and inclusivity! 💖

🤖 Is AI-generated content allowed? 

 ✔ AI-assisted coding (autocomplete tools) is allowed. 

 ✖ No copy-pasting large amounts of AI-generated code. 

 ✖ No AI-generated art or music.

🎨 Can I use pre-made assets? 

Yes! You’re welcome to use pre-made assets, as long as you have the proper license and give credit to the original creators.

🚨 Why was my game disqualified?

If your game violates the rules (e.g. using copyrighted assets), it will be disqualified. However, it will not be removed—you can still share and play it!

🔎 Can I appeal a disqualification? 

 Yes! I will leave a comment on your game page explaining the reason for disqualification. If you believe it was unfair, you’re welcome to appeal.
