Thank you so much TwoBirds! Our team had a lot of fun trying to customize the visuals in the engine, so the player could really enjoy a specific atmosphere, so glad you liked it!

Hard agree on the Bishop, he definitely needed more development time so his Heel Turn comes across more 3-Dimensional. Also agree on the Spirit Lore in the human world needing to be more fleshed out so the player can also empathize with the people who have lived believing the lie their whole lives. Ultimately our team created a very special game to us, but we also made it quite ambitious in the span of time we had available for the game jam! Hahaha.

Luckily that puts us in a good position if we ever return to expand the game! (Right now we're working with a larger group of friends on a longer, more full-length horror VN.)

Really glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for playing and leaving such a thoughtful note <3

Hey Melody!! So happy to hear that this was a satisfying play, and you had a fun time collecting the corgis! (Also so glad you were able to enjoy the petting mechanic at the end!!)

The maze definitely needs a re-work, so we'll be going back to this portion specifically to clear up and tweak this scene!

Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much for the kind words Nox!! So glad this brought a little joy to your life as you played (that's our biggest goal <3).

The maze is definitely something we'd like to overhaul a bit, to make it a bit more of a clear experience, without taking away it's sense of challenge.

Fantastic job on helping the queen find all her corgis!!

Thank you so much Arkicade! We're so glad that you loved the petting mechanic and Sir Woofaine & Will. Indubitably the best choices. :)

Tonic! Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really glad to hear that the story beats landed with you, especially the archbishop plotlines--you ALMOST got the entirety of your wish! Haha.

Also glad to hear that the plotlines still remain relatively clear, despite there being a lot packed into about a 45min-1hr game. (Some fabulous commenters here have suggested giving more character-focused story up front to break up the lore, and I'm in agreement there, so the player feels the world lore in a more grounded, personal way.) Also really happy you liked the moments where Lira is an inheritor of a more empathetic perspective, as well as her loved ones coming back to protect her. <3

I think the suggestions on ambient Title Theme music is great. (Also our amazing coder, Stuker0 is responsible for our sound design, and they did brilliant work on which music assets were paired with which scenes.)

Your comments on the menu & UI matching the gilded frame aesthetic more is also great, I definitely agree that UI could have had a more cohesive and thematic feel!

Thank you so much for playing!!

It was our first time experimenting with status flags with this engine, and while it was fun to see how they work on the back end, we did ultimately see other players hoping that the choices held a bit more weight on the story.

I definitely think there is absolutely a happy medium between choices having a bigger impact on the story, while also giving more opportunities for agency. These are very good points!!

Also thank you so much for your wonderful, super thorough Let's Play. The feedback about the vertical text space for the story, and utilizing all the screen space is a really good thing to consider for composition and art design during our next game, and how to better utilize this space in the future.

It was also really great listening to your storytelling suggestions--these are great, and are fantastic in pointing out clarity issues. We cannot thank you enough for the amazing feedback!

Thank you so much for playing!! Yes, our team did agree that the gameplay stood to benefit from longer, and more challenging gameplay. We were just rolling off of another longer, two week game jam a few days prior, so we were a little bit on the crispy side haha. So glad we were still able to create something we could share with everyone!

(Also we're drafting up those Pup Adoption papers as we speak! :D )

N.A.! Thank you so very much for not only your really kind comments, but for these really clear and helpful suggestions. Stuker and I had so much fun coming up with different corgis and I'd love to explore the idea of having more interactions with the existing ones (Corgi-actions, if you will).

We also totally agree, making the spaces more cluttered, and upping the challenge of the room would make the game feel more satisfying overall!

Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much Void Cat! Hugely appreciated for playing our game :)

Thank you so much for playing and the super kind comments!!

From Team Dogs to Team Cats: Thank you for playing our game! Glad they were able to brighten your day <3

Thank you so much, this is a huge compliment!! Thanks for playing <3

Thank you so much for playing it!! We've definitely been discussing making the mechanics and visuals of the maze more clear, and a bit more challenging (but built-in challenge vs it being potentially confusing).

I also love the idea of making more false hiding spots!

Thank you so much!! Old 2000s Hidden Object games and point-and-clicks are beloved with our team, and it was so much fun bringing those old memories to life.

Thank you so much for these kind words! The pet mechanic & credits roll were awesome 12th hour ideas by Stuker and I'm so glad we added both. I love the suggestion to have them be more present in the world potentially, this is a really cool idea to think about how to implement!

Thank you so much Aquena! It was so much fun iterating on corgi ideas we had. So very glad you enjoyed it!

This is such a special game. This brought back the best memories of things like Lego Island. Loved the ability to collect different types of flowers from different biomes, as well as having those combos unlock different truck customization.  The background music was also so damn cute, I kept humming it to myself after playing!

I wish the truck was just slightly easier to control! I kept accidentally getting stuck on stones and fell once into the ocean after trying to collect the orange poppies last.

The Customization screen also seems to make the game crash, not sure if this is just a Windows issue, or if it's present on all OS.

Love that this was one of the few games submitted to the Jam that had it's own voice acting! Also loved that Spooder had her own outfits she could wear, that you put together with the money you make from sales in the store. Great vibe and Spooder is adorable.

I would have loved customer sprites that were a little bit more in-line with the overall art style, as well as a slightly more challenging selling mini-game (like maybe having to help the customers with their different needs, or catching and helping them at the right time).

How FUN!!! Kept getting nervous as the boss character would appear (always just as I was close to finishing a typing task! That task was tough!!)

I loved how fun &  nostalgic this was to older flash games. This was such a joy to play, and I loved seeing all the fun merchandise the main character was trying to acquire before the concert!

This game was a total blast. The art is SO cute, and I love the adorable collection of charms and fun baubles you could mix and match on the bag, as well as the ability to change the color of the bag itself. Now I want my very own real-life, trinketed-out bag!!!

So so much fun and I'm in love with this art. Super well done!!!

The bag my partner and I designed together:

This game was such a blast!! I played it together with my partner and we couldn't stop giggling when we had to throw the Pitcherbind up the hill and it kept rolling past us. The mechanics of this game are adorable and very intuitive.

I also LOVED the waterfall and other areas, they're so cozy and fun to spend time in.

The only thing I wish I was able to do is use my "Shift" key that was on the Right Side of my Keyboard so it was simpler to sprint places. Otherwise I had to kind of sprint in one direction, stop and then aim my mouse to another area.

I want more of Floratale soon!! Amazing work!!

This is SUCH a calm, satisfying play. The gameplay is intuitive and it's so much fun to plant & prune. The character sprites and object art is so cute, and really adds to a great nostalgic/calm atmosphere. I love that the music is also un-invasive and calming.

It would be so nice to have a bar/timer/indicator of how "ready" or not a flower is, so the player is able to have a clearer idea of whether or not the flower is doing well, or perhaps overwatered.

You should be really proud of yourself with this!!

This was such a fun blast from the past--both in fashion and game type! I loved it! Really loved the wealth of different styles you could create as well as the different backgrounds you were given based on the quiz.

It would be so cool if this had a punk/goth offshoot, or more Y2K/Mall Goth outfits to put together!

I loved this story and this game!!

While only some of the click-and-drag elements took a few tries to get right, nothing that was game-stopper or stood in the way of enjoyment of the game. I loved the backstory of the doll, as well as finding parts of the Teddy and your parents. The plot of why the doll and her family have been separated from their parts is also really interesting and endearing.

Also loved the art style of this game!!

Update: Fire Foxkin is my fave!!

(1 edit)

This was outrageously cute and immediately gave me cute aggression hahaha. I LOVED the gorgeous backgrounds with the smooth flats and great color, the Nimikins are incredibly well designed, and I love the description text for all of these. My partner and I had so much fun playing this. (My fave Nimi was Leaf Fairy, and my partner's was Salty Crab). I love that the creatures are also randomized! (I got Leaf Fairy, Salty Crab, Fireling and Star Weaver, while my partner got Leaf Bunny and Blush Frog--I think that really increases that re-playability factor.

The only thing I wished this would have had was slightly more initial direction or clarity on what you're meant to do when you get to the regions (at least for the first area!)

Extremely well done, I can't wait to see more!!

This game was so lovely! I loved the themes of self-acceptance, memory, and perception. The concept of escalation, and of Demon Leandra wanting to feel human suffering before killing was also really fascinating, and I found myself wanting to know more about her psychology.

Also let's go Lesbians!

I would have loved a more clear AI disclosure on the art used for the character portraits, as it was slightly unclear in the credits, and I initially thought this was done by either you or GreenOnion!

The cat physics in this one are absolutely hilarious, and I love their little impassive faces as they collect into a cat cluster, hahah. Adorable concept, and I had a great time playing this. I would love to have a few more ledges or height-related  puzzles to take advantage of the hilarious stacking physics!

Loved the art and the very endearing vibe of this game. It felt so cozy and fun to go foraging for supplies, and making adorable little potions--there's so much personality in each one, this part was really delightful. I wish we would have been able to get a mechanic to try them out and explore the world, or even perhaps sell them to the townsfolk!

Kiki!! Thank you so much for playing and for also for streaming our game on your Twitch page! We super appreciate you!!

Jerry, I LOVED this game, and adored the idea of being able to upgrade the tank and evolve the fish. This art style is SO fresh and beautiful. Fantastic work!!

The UI is also fantastic and clean.

A few notes:

I'm not sure if this was just me on the web build (or me being bad at stuff), but I did unfortunately get a little stuck and could not proceed with my lil fishie stuck in the corner and was no longer making bubbles. Maybe this is a web build issue?

My only other comment is that I would have loved a longer audio clip for the game! (but I love that you can lower the music and SFX audio!)

This is just the absolute cutest. I LOVE the way this game feels, and it's such a comfy-cozy, adorable concept. I love the idea of the tiny fish evolving, and being able to upgrade the tank!

Thank you so much for playing and for your kind comments! Yes--we received a lot of wonderfully helpful feedback about the maze, so we'll be in a really good position to go back and give this puzzle more clarity!

Thank you so much, this is a huge compliment Waterspirit!! I adore your art!

Liana!! It's so cool to see a comment from you <3 Thank you so much for playing our lil Corgi Game!

Hoping maybe we can return soon for "Corgis Down Under", or perhaps "Corgis Take Tokyo".

Thank you so much for playing, and for the review Madi!

The team had so much fun coming up with 'corgi concepts', and it was really fun drawing them all. Petting & Credits Roll Feature with each Corgi at the end were both Stucker0's ideas, and it was so hilarious and adorable to see them both come to life.

We also agreed that the maze portion could be clarified, and honestly based on this comment, it makes me think that a Corgi-Per-Room counter would also be really helpful to reduce confusion.

This is such solid & lucid advice on this! Sound feedback and actually making the background assets more distinct from one another would really help in the maze portion, as well as making the puzzle "collection" minigames more challenging. These are both something the team was also coming around to, post-release, glad to hear those thoughts echoed so we know how to improve!

Thank you for the kind and thorough feedback, Jerry!!

The Turkey Abides.

Let's go discussions on Labor ethics! The dialogue choices and where you're able to go in this game--which I'm spiritually considering the successor to The Big Lebowski--are so damn compelling and funny.
This game  was a strike for me :)

Things I Loved:

-The Writing is hitting a very satirical, clever note, and it makes it a joy to interact with the characters around you

-Love that the lore setup in this game is entirely centered around the type of 'strikes" there are. This is both very funny and also a very cool tie-in of theme back into plot.

-This art is so dreamy and liminal--it strikes a great balance with the writing

Things I Would Have Also Liked to See:

-Some sound effects or a little bit of ambient would really tie the room together.

-Potentially mixing up the choices in a room so they're not always chronological choices down a list. (It would be fun if there was a touch more stakes involved in choosing the right answer)

Yesss that gives me a great reason to play it again! Saw the game page updated and my heart sang!

Hope you're getting some good rest, feel better soon Abbie!!

Thank you so much Ether! We're old school point-and-click fans, so this one was a fun nostalgic project for us.

PS: Loved your Goblin Game <3 <3 Our team had so much fun playing it. (I guessed Aphids immediately haha)
