darn, this is really JUICY... the sounds, the transitions... THE ART.
ill give this a score of: shovel/10
Okay I got the game to work, there seems to be an issue with Safari! I laughed after pressing start, love the lil’ guy there!
The animations felt like I was eating ice cream the whole game. This is probably my fave game in this jam.
Amazing game here. The music and visual flair is absolutely awesome for a jam game. The ramp in difficulty from level 1 to 2 was a wild ride, but I got there. It would have been nice to have a side-by-side of my failures to the original to see in better detail where I went wrong. I really like the idea and this was well done.
No idea why, but it wouldn't work in Chrome on mac for me. Would get past the main menu the nothing but background colour and sounds. Worked fine on firefox though.
I’m not very good with memory, and the only feedback I can give is that it would be nice to see see my mistakes at the end and compare them with the correct answer. The music is really nice and I thought the concept was very good!
Thinking this is your second jam almost seems impossible, seeing how polished this game is :D Great work!
The difficulty spike felt a bit harsh between the first two levels but otherwise it's really great game :)
i think we all could take noted on ur SAUCE
this game has so much SAUCE from the visuals like those buds literally DANCIN, to the victory sound this game just feels good to play
gameplay itself was very interesting concept that i could see expanded on in many ways, its cool original take on memory game
instead of just memorizing and reproducing, i love the step introduced of calculating how the blooms will grow into the spaces
so when you expanded on this concept by making a flower bloom in 4 direction s ⬆️⬅️➡️⬇️, that was AWESOME and coincided with what i think makes ur gameplay interesting
but then the lightning thunder level.... as a player that made me frustrated bc i couldn't engage with these mechanics, bc kept having to wait
overall i love the SAUCE and had an enjoyable time and was surprised with delightfully SAUCE
Really nicely done. Great graphics, great music, great humor — I feel like a couple of things could be improved that detract from the experience, though:
I really liked everything else, though. Well done!
Such a cool idea, and the execution is really good!! (Loved the cutscene haha) I would say the game falls short a bit due to the "2-bit" color scheme - idk if it's just me but even the second level was just too tough to memorize since it is incredibly though to remember the shapes while barely being able to distinguish not only the flowers, but also the tulips and the tiles they're on (/ distance from nearest flower). This game would be such a great one in another game jam, but in this context it just doesn't fit as well unfortunately. Still an amazing one, and I loved the UI and quirk of it!
Fantastic presentation! You're a serious triple threat; visuals, music and the programming are all top notch. It's quite short and the gameplay loop is a bit simple, but I couldn't help but love it. You've got a great sense of humor as well. Excellent job!
This is a really creative and interesting idea for a game. The art, music, and general polish are top notch. Everything about the core gameplay loop is clear and plays smoothly. It’s pretty challenging, maybe too hard. Seeing the grid in the photos might make it easier. Really excellent work here. The shading really showcases what can be done with 1bit colors.
I struggled figuring out what flowers grew into what until I tested it out and having to remember what each flower grows into was a struggle on its own. Fun game though
Super polished game for the limited time, however I would've liked to see how I was wrong because sometimes I was sure when I submitted my answer only to get it wrong with no idea of where i went wrong
The best jam game I've played so far
I was especially pleased with the work with sound,
Very driving background music
AND I LOVE THE VICTORY SOUND
it feels so inspiring.
The different themes for the levels are done perfectly (even night one, but i hate it, have to restart it like 5 times)
I really like this game. Very polished, and very impressive you did everything yourself. Adheres to the theme while creating gameplay that's pretty unique! Well done :D
Cool idea, really fits to the theme!
Liked the different kinds of plants, sometimes it was a bit tough to remember which sprout becomes which flower.
But what blows my mind are your art and your music, breathtaking :O
You can absolutely be proud of your work!!!!
The presentation here is out of this world! I love the music, and the visuals pull together fantastically. The difficulty ramps up quite fast however, and memory games are not exactly my cup of tea. Would have appreciated a bit of a slower introduction, perhaps a couple "easy" levels just to introduce the different flowers?
Amazing work here, especially for a solo project!
I like the original idea :) I wish the game was a little more forgiving. I found the art and music very pleasing!
Beautiful, great work on art and ui and sound effects. It all feels very polished, especially on your second game jam (mine too! hahah). Had a lot of fun, though I think the difficulty could ramp up a little slower
Great execution on a simple idea. Loved the music and art. Had fun but man I'm so bad at memory games XD
Overall you did an amazing job
Holy, I haven’t even left the main menu and I already want to say you did awesome, what is this
The music is great, the buttons feels awesome, the main menu looks amazing what
Settings menu is funny, the initial cut-scene is great, I really liked how the guy gives us the photo and explains the game mechanics in a very in-universe manner, ending with a happy thumbs up.
Great screenshots as well btw
I will say, week 1 I was like “Oh wow I can do this, it’s not that hard” then week 2 came and I dropped dead. Also, very creative expansion of the main mechanics! This is overall extremely great
