Cool puzzle game! I like the mechanics you introduced for each different critter and how they can interact with each other. For pacing, I'm thinking either the critters should move faster or there should be a speed-up button that speeds up the critters if you hold it. As it stands, it feels like I have to wait quite a long time to see if my attempt at solving the level's puzzle worked.
Besides that, really nice job!
Thank you for the feedback, and for playing! Yeah, a speed-up button is coming with the update after the jam! I absolutely agree.
Great puzzle game. The levels were well designed, and I enjoyed having my critters work together to help each other through the levels. The art was also super cute and reminded me of a story book. Nice job!
Thank you for the kind words, and for playing!
I had a blast with this. Really polished game, and the idea is super interesting. For me, I think having some levels where critters can go in any of the end holes would be super interesting (it would make some really interesting choices of like, am I using the most optimized solution here?)
Also, would love to be able to speed animals up
Besides that, awesome work, love this, would probably buy it :]
Thank you for playing the game! Speed-up is incoming after the voting is over, it’s been requested a lot :D Ooh, I like the idea of some levels not having it be locked where the critters need to end up, will definitely investigate!
It reminds to me to the ice path of pokemon crystal, thank you for the feelings :)
I looked up the ice path in pokemon crystal, and you’re totally right! Hope you had fun playing!
Really fun concept and amazing art, great job!
Thank you! And thanks for playing!
I really enjoyed this one played until I ran out of levels. The visuals are excellent even more so that you say it's a first try with hand drawn 2D!
If I was to give feedback it'd be great if they moved just a little fast or have the option to speed them up and sometimes people like me like to just test the waters first before throwing a solution together. I also feel it would be a bit easier to grasp if the tiles took effect when the critters entered the tile and not the tile before... that might just be me though.
The unique abilities for each animal was a nice tough, definitely a lot of potential to expand this. Great work.
Thank you, for playing and for the feedback! A lot of people have brought up the wish to be able to speed up the critters, so that is definitely a change I will make once the voting is over! Regarding the tiles, I agree that it can take some time to get used to, so I will for sure think about it.
I love these kinds of games, really great job here! The art style is nice and the different abilities make it just challenging enough for my early morning brain.
The tutorial could probably be improved, I had to trial and error things like “where exactly do the signs need to be placed to work as expected?” and “what direction will a critter be travelling after it teleports?” and things like that. But not a major issue, it was quick enough to test and figure out the answers.
Another entry that I would totally play a full-length version of!
Thank you for playing! The feedback on the tutorial is really good, and I definitely agree. I wanted to introduce the obstacles and items more slowly so the player would have to discover how things worked, but it became a bit rushed in the end.
Wow! That was so good! Really good job on the hand drawn graphics, that must have taken a lot of time. And on top of that the game itself is so well balanced already - not too hard, not too easy. Having critters have different abilities was such a good idea and I loved how they had to help each other out!
Thank you so much, that’s so nice! Yeah, art took way longer than expected so it was a bit of a rush to put the levels together in the end :D
This was fun! It looked deceptively simple at first but then as more animals got introduced I had fun stretching my brain trying to figure it out. I think it would have been cool if you had to solve the puzzle with the critters leaving their dens simultaneously. I'm not sure if I was cheating but I was making a beaver eat a tree, sending it back to den, tearing down the signs, and repeating for each goal. I also agree a speed up button would be nice. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback, and for playing! I wanted the puzzles to be solvable the “easy way” with complete freedom in resetting the critters, but also in a “hard way” where you prep everything and have it play out in one go, but I sadly didn’t have time to put in the reward for doing it the hard way.
Glad you had fun!
Very cute artwork and interesting idea. Good job :)
Thank you, and thanks for playing! Glad you liked it
You did a great job drawing the graphics, and it looks really nice.
A well-polished game with menus and a tutorial.
I wasn’t the best at solving the puzzles, but I’m sure people who play puzzle games would really enjoy this game.
Thank you for the kind words, and for playing! Yeah, I’m not the best at puzzles either, but hopefully it wasn’t too hard
Puzzle is one of my favorite genres! At first it was a bit confusing, but it got addictive as soon as I understood it. Really nice art and level design!!
I’m glad you liked it! I’m really bad at puzzle games, so it was a challenge to make fun ones. Thanks for playing!
Damn this game is polished! But I wouldve added a speed-up button, cuz waiting for that thing to finish the course is sometimes borring, but its cuz of my low attention span. But this game is simply but very polished and effective 9/10
Thank you! Yeah, I’ll definitely add a speed button, it really would help to speed things along!
This was very fun to figure out without being too challenging. There was a good mix of animals and abilities to keep the levels interesting. Really great entry!
Thank you! I was aiming for a casual puzzle, so I’m glad it wasn’t too hard. Thanks for playing!
Such a fun game with a great concept!
Thank you for playing it, glad you had fun!
I had a lot of fun with the puzzles and found it really enjoyable.
I thought the levels were very creative and well designed.
Overall, a great game.
Thank you for playing and for the kind words!
I enjoy the puzzles, but would love it if it could be possible to speed up the movement.
I also noticed, that the switch/bridge think didn't reset when you reset the critters back to their start position.
I'm not sure if this is how it is intended, but it did make the puzzle much easier, because then you could just do the puzzle in small steps, reset and move the signs and then take the next step (if that makes sense).
Overall a cute and fun idea!
Thank you for playing! I will for sure add as speed-up button, the critters ended up going quite slowly in the end.
You are totally allowed to reset the critters back to the start even after unlocking obstacles, I wanted the game to be solvable both the “easy way” and the hard way of placing everything at once. If I had more time, I was planning on adding a “star” system to the levels, where you would get a golden star on the level if you completed it without resetting the critters.
Maybe it could also be nice if there was just a 'reset level' button that didn't require to open the menu - that might be why I missed the option at first :)
This was a cute and fun puzzle game. I enjoyed that each creature had its own unique ability and having to plan how best to use them. The level progression felt good, and nothing felt too difficult to figure out. I agree with the other commenter that a speed up button would have been nice, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the game.
Thank you for the feedback, and for playing! Yeah, I agree that a speed-up button would help it feel smoother.
Very cute!
I do wish there was an option to speed up the walking a bit to cut down on idle waiting time, but for the amount of levels provided it wasn't really necesseray. Played all of the levels, felt really polished.
Thank you for playing it! Totally understandable with the wish for a speeding up option, I’ll look into it!
