Main concept is perfect for this jam. Artwork unarguably amazing. Nice job.

Good loop and character design. Very fun, I like the incentive to do well with the 3 star rating. Fun and original, great job!

Played through a couple of levels, trying to 3-star each of them. Figuring out the exact order of orbits to target is a good challenge. It works well, although this setup of Lemnisca with the cannon kinda calls for something peggle-like or otherwise playful.

interesting game, it kinda gets a bit chaotic with a lot of planets around but it's puzzling

i love the character art, especially the halo/hardhat that's a really cool idea

i like how you can shoot planets from two sides to make the resulting planet move slower, but i feel the aiming can sometimes get in the way of the puzzles, being a bit unpredictable when trying to get the a planet in it's orbit

I saw this a little back on TangledUp's stream.

I liked the game, and the game feel a lot. Aiming celestial objects requires some thinking, and having th account for actual gravitational pull, which is just challenging enough.

Cheers!

Pretty cool concept, I also LOVE THIS ART, it's so cute and the character design is just perfect and creative. The game is basically a cool math puzzle XD. My only critique is that is kinda punitive if you try to make 3 stars on every level, since a single mistake make you reset your entire setup. also, the aim are not perfectly alight which made me make a lot of mistakes. Would be cool if had some mechanic to remove mistakes or redo your last shoot. But overall the game is enjoyable, Great job :D

Quite enjoyed this one! The whole orbiting and planet merging system is fun to master! Also character artwork is cute and nice!

Really enjoyed the mechanics! Nice touch having a "close" shot automatically match the dotted line, really made me feel that I'd "nailed" it.

Pretty unique gameplay mechanic! Havent seen many planet revolving game yet this jam :> The best part of his game was definitely the art! Very cute and good looking characters along with ui being quite good too, not much else i can really say, the game was overall just very solid in both gameplay and looks!

very cute art!

I like the characters, and it may be my fav space game of the jam! When playing in the browser, seems to only let you advance to the next level if you get 3 stars, otherwise next was greyed out for me. I assume I should be allowed to advance with at least 2 stars?

Developer

Sounds like a first, but I assume it's the already well known bug that happens when you get 0 stars on a level, which permanently disables the next button until you go to menu. Normally 1 star should let you advance just fine. Sorry for the goofy oversight, but happy to know you enjoyed it!

I really like the characters! Also it was fun to just blast the planet full. But for some reason after completing the first level the next button stayed greyed out.

Developer

Ah, sorry about that! The Next button bugs out sometimes. I think it's when you submit and get no stars, retry, then complete the level. That said, you should still at least be able to access the next level by going back to the level select in the menu!

Yes, I also really liked the concept and the overall atmosphere.
It also reminded me of a very, very old game — with a different mechanic, but similar planets… except there were more of them back then...

This game definitely deserves attention! The difficulty and progression system is thoughtfully designed.
The controls feel nice too :)
Thank you for putting so much effort into the game — you did a great job!

The art and concept are good, but I just can't get the hang of aiming, and just kind of gave up partway through trying to get anything more than one star.  (That said, I've also made a game involving orbital mechanics (My Very Educated Moths, for a different jam), and had a hard time getting good at my own game.  Maybe it's just hard.)  At least they seem to lock in to the correct orbit if I get close enough.

Trying to think what could help... you could show what the trajectory would be as you're aiming, but then that might make it too easy... but maybe if you showed the trajectory on the first level (so I could get the hang of it) or showed the beginning of the trajectory or something...

Developer

Yep definitelly intended to have a guide in the early levels but due to lack of not knowing how (that we figured out *after* we were already finished with the game) it fell into the back as extra extra polish. Will likely update the game after the jam with it, alongside a potential undo button.

I loved playing this game!  It was such a cute puzzle game and I love how the halos are construction hats for the characters.  Though I do wish the music was louder.  That and more levels.  Those are my only complaints about the game.

very cute art! love the idea, the addition system makes it unique, shooting millions of planets around the stars is fun too xD

Very cute! I loved spam clicking when I was tilted and seeing what beautiful art pieces that created.

Cute art and nice visuals in general! The planet combining mechanic was satisfying when I was able to get them to collide, though I agree with some of the other comments that it was hard to tell where your planet was going to end up. It was also fun to just spam a bunch of planets and watch them orbit around. Good job on the game!

I played this on stream today (video here) if you’re interested in watching a playthrough of your game.

Hello, thanks for streaming our game, it's an honor to see! I saw you streaming on twitch at the time and I regret not hopping on! Sorry to hear about the lack of music. There actually is music but unfortunately none of our testers mentioned it was way too quiet so we thought it was okay! I feel most of us might actually be playing with our PC volumes really high normally and never realized the music was too low.

We also initially wanted to add a trajectory guide to the cannon, but at the time we were unsure how to implement it. But fate thought it was funny that we only got a lightbulb moment on how to solve this problem after the jam ended... sorry!

Watching the vod I also noticed you couldn't press the 'next' button at some point. Yeah that's a bug! We have no clue what's causing it lol.

Thanks again for the review and stream highlight! I'm glad you enjoyed it at least!

Fun game,  clever mechanics and presentation, the aiming feels a little off and I could never quite get the hang of it- adding complexity in later levels with asteroids is a great addition, I like this one ^
