just saw you in the discord. gorgeous soundtrack. Congrats on your 2nd ever game, it plays beautifully, I didn't encounter any issues at all. A little more challenge in each stage unlocking the door would be beneficial, as well as some sort of victory state when you complete the game could be cool, some flourish visually with the door & the music maybe. Bunch of things you could do with this, congrats!

Great design, beautiful visuals, pleasant sound, all great stuff here. My only suggestion is the celtic knot bonus subtracts from the realism of the idea, maybe that's not something that matters but something to consider, as I think I would have enjoyed knowing how well I did without it. congrats on a great entry! high score: 514
Perfect game! My only thought is honestly nitpicking but I think you got the genders backwards. Wouldn't it make more sense narratively if husband was sent to the grocery store and he had to remember what he was told to buy? Particularly for this time period I think the traditional roles would see the woman totally in charge of the shopping list, so she would just know what she wanted to buy. Either way, congrats on a great entry!
I'm surprised at the number of sushi games I've seen, I never would have thought of it because I'm allergic, so to me it's very creative use of the theme haha. This game plays extremely well - personally I think the tutorial is too drawn out, I think it would be better served to get serving customers in quicker. Congrats on a great entry!
wow this art and your design is perfect. the game itself reminds me of link's awakening. one thing to note is I think you should implement much more variation (or lengthen the sequence if you're dead set on it looping) of the piano notes for the footsteps - they are all the time between the same two notes, it gets annoying fast. Overall, extremely well done
Congrats on your first game! Specifically, you have sfx that are pleasant and your music actually loops! Not all games I've played have those, so that is a big feat right there. My one thing here is if you are good at small talk like myself, the game doesn't loop at all. Overall, nice job and keep pushing
I survived all 14 nights at the diner & all I got was this T-shirt haha. Really enjoyed this. Some things to consider - when you leave the diner to the left, on the next day the character starts also facing the left like he is about to exit again, should be just entering. I would also like to be able to increase the walk speed or sprint because when you get to the end of the diner if you see an anomaly and have to turn back it takes quite a while. Lastly, I would really, really like to be able to interact with "that one" anomaly. You know which one I'm talkin bout. Congrats on a great everyone!
Interesting how the sfx become the music track over time! Very cool. It plays and feels great. My only feedback is that once I died on a later wave and had to start all the way from wave 1 with nothing, I didn't really feel like putting all that effort in again, like I didn't feel I was given an incentive to replay the loop. Perhaps this is something that you might consider addressing. Either way, congrats on a great jam!
I was a bit put off when I read that the game was all pre-existing assets but I am super glad I got over whatever that prejudice was - this is super fun!! Although very tough!! I tried for a long time because I liked it so much but I couldn't overcome the 2nd tier. The combo of the short timer, the ring speed, and the collision detection was too much for me, I do think it would be beneficial to adjust the values a bit, and then I think you have a product you can for real slap a price tag on. A suggestion I have would be once you run through a loop, instead of having to outrun the timer and catch the next ring, it could be you have to outrun the loop that you just ran through - then you have a sort of loop & break the loop cycle. Congrats on a lovely jam!!
I am loving the mashup of visual styles here, and was pleasantly surprised to see the characters turn around the way they did - not sure why that got me but it did. I'd like to be able to autofill the text, since the longer passages feel slow to me. really appreciate the tones you did for the speech, the up sound for question marks. lot of nice details here. nice jamming!
Hey saw you in the discord. The game is really nice, reminds me of flash games of olde. The piano puzzle is I think too difficult, perhaps not on purpose. Consider implementing it so the keys sound in order of a real piano and/or some player feedback to know if it the tune was entered correctly. Once I memorized the tune & plunked it out on that funky piano I still thought I was wrong for a few minutes before I just decided to go try the next room. Congrats on a nice jam!
Absolutely beautiful visuals - that last drawing at the end?? wow. Sound is hitting as well. My only feedback is it feels a bit tedious to me to walk back to the telescope after drawing each constellation since you don't do anything when you look. Perhaps you could have something to do there, or have the vision book next to the telescope. Congrats on great jam!
Hey, saw your post in the discord. It's fun! It doesn't seem to let me be able to leave a corpse on the button itself, I have to leave one beside it and then push it on my next life. It also seems to disappear on it's own before I make a new corpse. This is in the browser build by the way. Music would also help out with player enjoyment. Congrats on great jam!
Favourite card game by far! I managed to win on day 11 & earned 10 dollars. It was a bit confusing at first but I got the hang of it around day 3. One suggestion is to move the instructions into the game itself, and the other thing I was confused about was during the battle after the demon's health was 0, if there were still turns I was confused if I was supposed to keep attacking it or not or if it was actually defeated since I still had the option to attack. Congrats on great jam entry!
The colours on this are perfect, the character movement is butter smooth. It used a pre-existing asset for music, somehow I think it is the perfect fit for this. The stage reminds me of Bayonetta's stage in Smash Ultimate. Something to consider, so there is so much rain I'd like to hear some rain sfx to accompany it. Congrats on a great jam entry!
I think my favourite ghost game so far! The UI simple & clean, and you actually interact with the ghosts. Nice. Couple clipping through the wall moments when there were so many ghosts though, and I think it would be good if we were able to speed up the past lives. At least in the web build the music eventually cuts out in each level as well. Congrats on a great jam!
I got a jump scare when I first ran into Ducky as I do indeed live in Ontario how did she know?? I was very right in that I would enjoy the design of this game! Having an option to play against a computer or some sort of single player mode, or local co-op would go a long way I think though at least for me. Congrats on a great jam my friend!
Very clean design! I appreciate that a lot. As someone else said, I think the sfx are quite a bit louder than the music, particularly the level complete sound. I would also like to either click on the commands or actually input them with the keyboard, rather than having to click & drag them into place. Congrats on a nice jam!
