In terms of visuals and audio - it's awesome, no notes. Interacting with the board feels good and is generally well done UX-wise. Gameplay itself is fine, and all the different tiles and modifiers support it well, but I struggled a bit with the need to constantly rebuild the tiles in front of the character to maximize the potential reward - and that would often result with a lot of swapping which wasn't necessarily that engaging. I wonder that if there was a second "opponent" guy then maybe I'd find it easier to lock in, dunno. Either way, I enjoyed my time with the game!

Never pick unicorn. Trust. Emmett was peak

That was a really fun twist on a deckbuilder, really enjoyed my time with it! My only negative comment is that during first run frequent ability to reshuffle meant that I would often end up moving tiles back and forth if they weren't activated, but that's the only thing I was kind of meh about, which is wild! Everything else was really really fun! Really impressive work! The game starts off good and different tiles that show up bring in strategy both for placement and for the approach you want to take to the game, but when combined with relics the deckbuilding really starts to shine. I only did two runs but they felt really different in terms of playstyles and different synergies that they offered, I am really really impressed, fantastic effort putting together and adding wonderful finishing touches like sound effects and hover UI tooltips!

I played this on stream, here is the highlight in case you find watching first playthough useful:

This is an exceptionally good submission. The power ups, music, art style and sound effects/music are masterfully executed. (As a composer, I really appreciate how complex the bass section is.) Love how many strategies and play styles one can utilize. But I think the most impressive aspect is the staggering amount of content you produced in such a short time!

This is great! A stunning amount of work for a game jam! I do think a lot of the artifacts being side-grades or give-and-takes when you only get to choose 3 is a little rough! I did also find that near the end of the game I was never really re-arranging tiles, just buying upgrades to my existing set-up which is a unique side effect. A very fun game though!

Thanks kobold. it's valuable to hear these from you ^^

Thanks for submitting this game for my stream! Sorry I wasn't able to play it live. I really enjoyed this one, it was fun to try to figure out a strategy to get the best score!

Really fun and addictive! I have to take some turn to figure out how to play it right but it worth it!

Well that was a lot of fun, it took me a while to figure what how the main point goes but then i was rich and lots of points!!! Awesome idea 👏👏👏

this is AMAAAZING! ridiculous polish and really fun gameplay loop! i enjoy the use of good roll to move and being able to change tiles on the board! it's really fun to use fwd and bck to chain together lots of different bonuses it's really great! amazing job i hope to see more of this!

Oh this a great spin on the builder mechanics, never seen a board game version of it before. I'm also a big fan of these kinds of score chaser games!

The sounds of the little tiles getting placed is very satisfying, and overall the art style is fantastic, good work. My only feedback would be that I didn't realise on my first turn that I would move upwards, I thought I was moving to the right and planning for that! XD

And if you want more choose 1-of-3 things deckbuilder fun we built a deckbuilder for our jam game, and would love your feedback if you wanted to try it too!

Very cool, quite addicting  for a board game ngl, also love the shader!

This is really good for four days. The art and atmosphere is amazing. My (overpowered) strategy was to use a stop, fwd 2, bwd 2, and light bob to force a draw spot which gets buffed by the scissors both times. :)

Glad to see another deckbuilding roguelike. Yours is definitely better than mine

I don't know how you manage to have so much content !

Very fun balatro vibe with combo coming from level up and tiles, so many possibility of build ! All the visuals is very giving me paper vibes

Very good game! However I think you shouldn't be able to switch your tiles after placing them. It would make strategizing a lot more fun.

Developer

Yeah, I tried that when prototyping and didn't really work. You HAVE TO change your strategy with the tiles you puchase at the shop or with the relics you get. Not being able to switch tiles just made it worse in terms of strategizing. Thanks for playing <3

I'm thinking like restrict the opportunity to check, or maybe make it so you have to pay. Look up Game of Greed, it has a really similiar concept

Game is simple to play, but fun. Some numbers may need to be balanced, but if you understand and have a great interest in probabilities, this will be a fun game to pass through. Can see having different board layouts or variety on how it can be played :)

An nice attempt to Balatro-ficated version of Monopoly. IDK if it’s intentional that we can re-organize tiles after every turn but one of the perks actually does that if I land on VOID tile. Looks like there are some bugs that needs fix as you already mentioned on the description. Nice shaders and weird mascot right there.
