That's some suspicious voting results. Congrats though if it's not.

Wow those are good ratings. Good job. You're my second favorite game.

Never expected to see another top-down roguelike where you're a blob trying to shoot other blobs with multiple waves and an upgrade each wave and good music. I thought I was the only one :)

I like how you combined a top-down shooter with "past self" mechanics. It makes the extra bullet and damage upgrades a risk/reward decision.

Got to wave 6 before I DED.

Nice, you got a strategy that worked! (a really rare one though) We tried to have the blobs glow to make it look cooler at night but we didn't account for different brightness monitors. Maybe it could be a setting later. Glad you had fun though!

Thanks for wanting to play my game! You can definitely expand your game into a full one if you wanted to because of it's potential: adding a shop, upgrading animals, upgrading carriages, adding overall boosts like vouchers, stuff like that. Just nerf negative scoring :)

Really satisfying game - I would play more if there were more levels or a hard mode. The audio in this game isn't perfect (still 5*), and it can improve a lot with more satisfying sounds.

You can definitely expand upon the game even further if you wanted to.

This is definitely a unique game, and you designed the systems well. I had fun figuring out what I was missing and the steps I needed to take. My only problem is that I'm impatient and the collisions take forever to collide.

With more systems, animations, and an in-game tutorial, you could expand tis game a lot more if you really wanted to.

PS - I found this game through Post Jam Productions :)

It's a really well done puzzle once you realize how to put out the fire. The screens are intuitive after trying out and seeing what they do. My only suggestion is to add the two minute timer so you know how much time is left, but I don't know if you left that out on purpose.

I saw an earlier comment - there is value after you reach your score, which is building up a pig/chicken/goat to help you later. This game was way too fun for me, but I kinda broke it:

I used a skunk to get a hologram pig negative, so the pig had like negative a million points which basically means I could spam end turn and win :)... until my hologram pig broke the integer limit and decided to score positive which made me lose :(

The gameplay loop is really close to Balatro with the strategy + randomness every run, which is why I played so much.

Unlike other looping 2D platformers I've played in this jam, this one is extra fun because there's no waiting or repetitive gameplay.

I really like the game loop of analyzing a level, beating it in the most efficient way possible, and using really well-timed jumps to see if you can get one more run.

My favorite part is the art and how the village and landscape looks. I managed to beat it (with the Hint button) and it only took a few tries. My only feedback it that I often wanted to look up so I can see more, but the camera controls wouldn't let me (I'm assuming it's because there's no sky and it would be awkward in houses).

Our game has a really fragile idea so it'll be hard to expand it much without some big changes. But thank you so much! I'm glad it was fun for you.

Fun game, I like how you can move so fast and how you can see your score through the cows you've captured. The cow pen filling up was my favorite part.

Also, your game has a really similar drawing mechanic to my game, which is fun :)

P.S. The comment below me is a spammer who posted that comment like a hundred different times

How are you playing games so fast. Your comments are on different games like two minutes apart.

Anyways, really fun game that went everywhere with the puzzles and tasks.

I got three and held it for a few seconds! Really hard unless you're stubborn and keep trying. Catching the ball initially is way too hard in my opinion.

This is really good for four days. The art and atmosphere is amazing. My (overpowered) strategy was to use a stop, fwd 2, bwd 2, and light bob to force a draw spot which gets buffed by the scissors both times. :)

Glad to see another deckbuilding roguelike. Yours is definitely better than mine

It's another blo(u)b game! My favorite part about this game is the pixel art, especially how smooth slimey in donut mode looks. The platforming had a lot of back and forth, which made good use of the single screen displays.

Glad to see a fellow blob game doing good :)

There isn't much art but the platforming physics were REALLY GOOD. I would speedrun it if I had a timer. The stickiness of the loops felt nice and really controllable.

Glad to see a fellow slime game doing good :)

Edit: I actually did speedrun it and I get 1:34.38

Hello fellow slime game. I really likes the attack system you managed to make, especially in four days. You can slash slimes normally or just combo hop over them.

Also the art (especially the slime animations) are really well done.

Also I did the big bubble pillar where you go back and forth on my second try :)

I was spamming keys until I figured out it was E to pick up a platform. Skipped a few of the levels by going on a platform and jumping with the squircle under the platform (which was fun).

Really well done puzzles though!

This is like all the other "past self" games but it's on a grid, which makes it all puzzle and less platformer. I really like how you did the levels, my only complaint is that you move a bit too slow.

Also, your main character is also blue and pixelated, like in my game :)

This is a very unique game, and you did the strategy and art really well! It's really simple to win once you figure it out, but it's easy to add new cards and features in this type of game. (if you want to later)

I never expected someone to do the for loop idea. This game has great potential to expand it if you can think of ways to add more puzzles.

Also nice to see a fellow blob game doing good (slimes are close enough)

Not much to say, you had a fun idea and executed it well. Your game could be easily expanded upon if you wanted to, which is a good thing :)

This is something I've never seen before. I really liked the puzzles and there's plenty of room to expand the game if you wanted to.

The best part is when you shift through an enemy (with cool effects btw) and quickly shift direction. You can lose though if you get unlucky with the enemies turn though

Really fun and well executed idea

This is one of my favorite of many "past self" games mainly because you made the timer really short. There's no waiting for you past self to do something or dying on purpose and having to walk all the way back.

Glad to see a fellow slime character game doing good (blobs are close enough :)

Thanks! I was focusing more on making the game satisfying rather than balanced, but I'm glad it was both for you. And the tutorial actually worked!

I ended up moving around the runes to get what I wanted, which was fun in itself (Corpse pull, Corpse pull, Abomination, repeat) Really well atmosphere and polish. :)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who made a deckbuilding roguelike.

The intentional losing adds a lot of strategy once you get the hang of it. Having enemy health bars would add a lot to the feedback of the game, but I get that it's not there in a four day game jam.

Also the shooting sound effect is amazing.

Glad to see a fellow blob game doing good :)

oh wow. That's a hard level. I deleted that solution so no spoilers then :)

The eight level was really hard to figure out. I could tell this was inspired by a block coding app like Scratch, and you did a good job with the level design. Also, my game has a pixelated blue blob looking thing like yours :)

Hello fellow slime game. My favorite part is the risk/reward of filling the screen with bullets. A health counter would be a good addition to the game, it would make the game feel more intense when you're low on health. This game could be very fun if you choose to work on it further.

My favorite part is the sound effect. I like the puzzles, and it's fun to mess around and see what you can get the marble to do (for example the skip in Level 1 that allows you do win twice as fast).

Got all the way to Wave 8. Really liked the concept, with the skill coming from memorizing the wave patterns. Also nice to see another twin-stick "shooter" roguelike game :)

You're definitely getting a really high narrative score. Also the puzzles are well done and it's satisfying to see an army of Snailys help you beat the level. Your main character also looks sorta similar to mine :)

The sound of the platforming is the coolest part. It is a lot of trial and error though. Really fun idea.

Sorry I can't play it, there's some sort of error when I try to open it. And it's a slime game too, which are kinda like blobs.

I see this as more of a concept that you can make longer later, and it does work!

This is the best "past self" puzzle platformer I've seen so far, because it's polished and has really well done puzzles. Level 9 is my favorite because it requires lots of thinking ahead. Glad to see a fellow blob game doing good (slimes are close enough)
