woaw very nice I liked the idea and the story but I found the aiming the bullets to be a bit difficult, especially because the line didnt align with my mouse cursor. I didnt find the constant rotation to be a problem though, that was fun
I like the voice acting on the game :)
Nice work! It was hard to tell how the ship was actually moving with the spinning background, but the voiceover was a nice touch to give the game a bit of charm. Good job!
nice idea but about rotation background if you can adjust it will better overall, good work.
If possible, can you please rate my game and leave a comment too?
I loved the idea, but when I was the only thing on screen, I found it kinda hard to tell when I was moving. Other than that, tho I had fun!
Cool idea although I wasn't very good at the game. I appreciate you took the time to do voice acting for the game.
The background is really confusing and makes the game disturbing to play... I hope you'll fix this in the future because the game looks nice to play x)
yeah alot of people complained about that part didnt notice how dizzying it was during the jam or maybe just saw it so much we grew accustomed to it will fix it though
thank you for playing though
yeah with the background it was very last minute thought, and I didn't playtest to see how all the art worked together in the game. Which I will playtest for future projects so we can have better results. We also didn't really have time to work on the background before submitting our project. If me and my team ever get back to this project I'd love to do a complete rework of the background and fix the spinning so players don't get motion sickness from our game. As always thanks for the feedback and thank you for playing our prototype :D
The rotating background confused my movement a bit. : )
thank you for playing the game
understandable will fix :3
Yeah that spinning background really makes the game confusing. The audio quality is concerning as well. I liked the upgrades tho
yeah i think the web version really messes the audio up for some reason
but the movement and camera perspectives are things to improve on
than you for playing the game :3
Nah that's not your end - I went for a lo-fi effect on the voices and cooked the vocals a bit too much I realise now. Thanks for the review!
The movement was slightly confusing and all the looping really takes a toll. The narative was great. The idea was original. I think the combat and movement can be improved. Great job!
Such a great narrative concept!! all the rotation makes me a bit sick though :(
Thank you for playing the game.
yeah will have to work on the way the rotation is shown if we do change and add to the game
probably will be the first thing we do after refactoring the messy code
I love the storytelling, really made me push forward!
thank you for playing the game and the praise.
yup the narrative is really and the voice lines are truly nice 100% agreeing here
Love the audio logs, peak narrative.
the audio of some effects is a bit crunchy I had to lower it a bit, nice game tho.
hmm yeah especially after the triple shot upgrade the noise does get a tad bit too crunchy because of stacking.
thank you for playing the game and responding though :3
Very complicated visual to sustain for more than a few rounds. The idea is there, I understand that the sense of direction is meant to be skewed but some semblance of positioning should be available (aside from bullet offset).
yeah maybe a change of camera perspective would help alot will work on improving and adding alot of quality of life changes if we continue work on this project
The concept is good, it has its potential with combination with narrative, I think you have really good progression in game, but I can't play this game, the effect then you are close to anomaly just making me sick
if we continue work on teh game we will fix that issue since alot of people feel the same way :D thank you for playing the game
Oh gosh, you concept is great but your game made me sick...
yeah alot of people said that the rotating backdrop made them nauseous things to keep in mind for the future for sure
Great creative take on the theme! The audio logs and narrative were a highlight!
Очередной блеватрон-3000.. Управление не работает от слова совсем.. Играешь 15 секунд и умираешь - просто верх геймдизайнерской мысли..
The audio logs were a really cool touch for this game, and I like this take on the loop theme! The spinning was a little dizzying after a while, but I liked the gameplay.
So many great things to say about this game, where do I even start? The narrative's the best I've seen so far, the art is unique, beautiful and captivating, and the core concept, while perhaps a bit unpolished, is incredible! The idea of looping around a black hole until you can finally escape it is great, and is improved further by the audiovisual elements around it.
The only harsh criticism I can really give this game is that the movement controls feel quite unresponsive, even if that is the point. I would've liked to have a bit more control over how to avoid enemy ships and their projectiles, since this game is pretty much an on-rails shooter until you get the vertical thrusters and more fuel. Although probably more realistic, I feel like the black hole shouldn't impede your movement decisionmaking this much.
All that said, extremely great work! I would love to see this spun off into a full-fledged game! :)
That is an extremely flattering response, and thank you so much for your kind works and critiques! I hope you enjoyed the game jam as much as we did:)
