I had fun with this! It was a nice balance between challenging, but achievable. I wasn't able to beat the big bird though, as it kept flying off the screen. Fun game concept here that's on-theme, nice job!

The challenge from level to level built up really nicely and kept me hooked. Once I figured out that I needed to look at the shadow for spacing, I was a lot more successful! My only small note is that when clicking the box after dropping it, it was punishing if you didn't click exactly in the middle of the box, since it jumps to your mouse location. Super fun, nice job!
This was a really fun game, and fit the theme so well! Solving each puzzle definitely felt satisfying to me (although I got a little frustrated on level 8 because I knew how to solve it, but execution was keeping me stuck for a while). It had a consistent visual theme, and the bounce shot homage was wonderful. Great job!
What an incredibly cool game concept - it took me about 1/3 of the way through to realize what the discs were doing, but once I did I was so impressed. I got stuck in a wall on the first boss when I was knocked back, and unfortunately when I tried to try again against the last boss it sent me back to the beginning of the game, but overall really strong game and execution!
I think this game loop ahs a lot of potential, it blends some of my favorite genres and it scratched all of the deck-builder itches I would want to see in a game like this, so great job! A few small enhancements I would have liked is a deck/discard counter, and the ability to pause the game. I got stuck a few times in the side or bottom of platforms, and I also found that I could just stand in a safe spot and cycle out all of my curse cards, which made them feel unimportant and like I couldn't actually lose (alternatively, I could just not use spells in most levels and be perfectly okay). I hope this game keeps being worked on, but either way, nice job all!
I really like this as an educational game to make learning math more fun. The balance of difficulty in equations that the game presents felt a little bit sudden at times in its shift in level of difficulty, but overall it was a fun game to play and forced me to flex some math muscles I haven't flexed in a while haha
To me, this was a REALLY strong core concept for the game, and I think the mood was conveyed/executed really effectively. Honestly, I loved just flying around with the light and exploring, the way this game was laid out almost read as more of that type of game, and if some of those exploration game elements were incorporated here (maybe a rare gem you can find, some fun powerups, etc) I would be hooked on it. Solid visuals - some more SFX would have helped build the narrative/mood even more, but I'm impressed with what you all put together!
I really enjoyed the core game loop for this game! I got better each time (though not nearly as good as some on the leaderboard, haha). I agree with @CaptainRipley's comment about the shop, I think that was a really great idea to add. To make it feel even more attainable/impactful, incorporating it into each individual playthrough (upgrading mid-game and balancing accordingly) could add an exponential number of additional strategies. Really great job to everyone who contributed to this!
The Forsaken Flame is a top-down puzzle dungeon game with only your flaming sword to guide you. Created in a month as a team of four, we would love for you to give it a try!

I loved the ways in which you integrated Billy's backstory. Even just things like "carrots > scrapbooking" were funny to me given the context you built up in previous levels. Unfortunately, whenever I jump, I go flying into the air, so I wasn't able to make it past the level where jumping was required. Overall nice job!
