I really liked the art style of this game and think the concept of adding color to the world as you play is pretty fun. As a beginner at platforming games, it was confusing how the characters moved. I wanted to be able to use the W and S keys to cycle through my characters rather than accessing a specific one.

Think that might have been a good idea or have the forms on separate keys.

5 Star game in every category as I feel it is a complete, polished, beautiful, and fun game. The amazing creativity of the world building is bolstered by the game design and visuals. Very much appreciated all of the references to the community.

I may be a little biased lol but even without the GDFG references this game could stand on its own. With more content, and commercial level polish I could see this working well in the the retro games market. Would be really cool to see this on a Gameboy or playdate!

Very good work!
I really enjoyed exploring the world and defeating the bosses. Collecting the different disks encouraged exploration and the level was well structured.

I only had problems with the respawn from time to time (maybe intentional) so that I was reset to the last boss if I died on the way to the next one.

But all in all a great entry!

Thanks Bolrik!

Did you respawn before the previous boss, so you had to fight it again? If so, that's a very weird bug and I don't really see how that happened!

I think it was the second boss (the floating one). I defeated him and went on for the next sections. After the cave (if i remember correctly) i died to some monsters and went all the way back to the exit of that boss. I did not had to fight him though.

Ah, that's intended!

Fantastic job! Loved the design of the world that kept you needing to switch between every form. I like that every boss felt like it needed a different ability to beat and that in the end it was a boss rush. The level design was good too. You really needed to explore to find everything, and I appreciate how much detail there is from the beastiary(which was hilarious) to the fact that I can check how many colors I'm missing. Very well thought out and nicely executed.

I do think that the controls for changing and using the abilities could be easier to use. I had many moments where I accidentally transformed or used an ability when I didn't intend to, i think, because of the controls or because there needed to be more feedback on how to change. Could just be user error though! I think the recovery for the bee could be a bit quicker too or could be limited a different way. As it was, I had to wait around for the bar to reset without much to do. It could reset quicker or it could be something like kirby where the bee could have a number of jumps and resets when you land.

Overall very strong entry. Loved the music changing based on the character used, loved the colors slowly coming back giving you a good sense of progression and love the style and design. Great job!

What an incredibly cool game concept - it took me about 1/3 of the way through to realize what the discs were doing, but once I did  I was so impressed. I got stuck in a wall on the first boss when I was knocked back, and unfortunately when I tried to try again against the last boss it sent me back to the beginning of the game, but overall really strong game and execution!

Wow, this was pretty incredible! That was like a fully-fledged game! I had fun exploring and each boss was unique and I think the just the right amount of challenge. I loved that it felt like a whole world with lore and what felt like a good amount to explore. I thought the art style was charming and I loved all the details like the Bestiary and drops about the GDFG community. I think the degree of challenge was just right, and the mechanic created interesting choices for the player.

Biggest piece of feedback is having more feedback from hitting enemies, especially the first gear boss, would've been helpful. I wasn't quite sure if I was doing the right thing and hitting enemies sometimes.

Also, what I think was a "bug" - after I beat the Zachavillain, when I said I didn't want to look for the rest of the colors, it took me back to the last point where I died.

Really awesome stuff!

It was a fun little game! The concept of trying to get the colors back was interesting and the play on Zack was funny. I found the player a bit too floaty. I also would accidentally change between characters when I was just trying to jump or maneuver out of the way. I fought the boss a few times, but after losing three times or so I gave up. Was there just one disc to get as the bee? I wasn't sure if I was missing part of it. Great job!

Thank you, Draekdude!

If you had beaten the boss you would have found alot more discs and a more bosses.

whoa, sweet! I’ll have to give it another go!

Be in Tiny mode when jumping over the cogs. Once You're close to the boss switch to Beasty and hit him. Stay in beast mode while trying to avoid the boss when he's flying around.

yeah, that was my current strategy. However, I would typically get hit twice each time the boss would go into gear mode.

Fantastic little game guys! The sound was very satisfying and the controls felt smooth and friendly. I'd give this high ratings if I could vote!

it so satisfying at the start when you get those first couple colours
