the game has a very cool vibe. the enemy variations are great, at one point i turned the corner and saw nothing but couches as far as the eye can see. Good stuff.

I enjoyed playing, once i realised how good the towers were, they preceded to be the only thing i bought. the difficulty ramps up nicely. i think a timer for how long the day and nigh time have remaining would be a nice addition, and i appreciate how the short daytime really made you priorities if you want to upgrade your defences or plant more wheat . Thematically speaking i do think it would have been nice for the buildings to be farming related so the wall could have been a fence, and the tower could have been scarecrows or something of that sort.
Overall the game is really fun. also unimportant but you misspelled "succeeded" on the win screen.
I don't think the Plank economy will ever recover, I had to get the auto clicker out, and after a while it crashed more than just the economy, not before letting me max upgrade all the wood related upgrades and most of the chair ones also having the Chair spin at Mach 10 is hilarious . Some of those chair upgrades are so expensive at the high end, it would be nice to have an auto seller for every resource. Really well done, its an impressive feat for a 48hour game jam.
really cool game, music fits very well. i couldn't get to 1Million in the first year closest i got was 870K. i enjoyed having to balance between letting them go off on a series of controversies to build up their following then giving therapy so you don't lose them. My favourite bit was reading the titles of what each of the creators was making.
i assume the text with instructions being behind the monkeys head was unintentional as it made the game probably harder then intended since you don't know the controls, but i really like the art style and the minigames were fun and imaginative definitely could see the Dumb ways to die influence. i was unsure as to how much the Theme of Growth came into it other than Big Brain, but overall a very solid game good work.
P.S if you wish to enable the Full screen Toggle button on Itch its under Embedded options - Frame options - Fullscreen Button
so Myself; immortalicecream and Plunfldunk Created the game Feed The Bean for this jam and when Plunfldunk uploaded the game, I was an author of the page and so figured I would be allowed to vote after the submission time had concluded. Unfortunately this did not happed and although I'm credited with the game both in the jam and on the games page, I cant rate games. if their is any way I could be made to have a vote that would be appreciated very much, as I would like to rate and give feedback to the other members of the jam.
The game was really fun — the simple job of smashing rats with a hammer worked really well! I liked the aesthetics they fit the vibe perfectly, although it was maybe a little too dark at times. The music and sound effects were great, especially the little 'ow' the rats make.
I did run into a possible bug: I think the map generation might not be properly removing the previous map, because by the 4th floor, there was a lot of strange clipping happening. After I killed who I assume was the 'Rat King' (unless you play as the Rat King?), the floor glitched out and I couldn’t progress through the trapdoor.
Also, if you could enable the Fullscreen button in the Frame options, that would help — right now, if you exit Fullscreen after launching, you can’t get it back without restarting.
Overall, though, I had a really good time with it!
Fun game! I think adding a short grace period after restarting would be a nice quality of life improvement — although it's not strictly necessary, since you can just spam restart until you get a better start. I appreciate the skill required; on my second playthrough, it took me about half the time. Overall, great job — it's a really fun experience!
i beat the game through all 8 levels at Alright at least but wanted to see if i could beat any at Godlike so i retried a couple of the levels and i figured the first one has the most obvious time saves, that's why i chose to practise that level, but i might give speed running some of the other levels more of a go too
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the cutscenes.
As for the bread game, it’s actually complete, but it seems there’s an issue with the export. I didn't have time to fully test it on the web version, so I assumed everything was working fine. I'll look into fixing that as soon as possible.
Thanks again for playing, and I appreciate your feedback!
If you have time, it would be great to have a tutorial or some form of indication that the calendar is interactive or that the food water and meds are not and Incorporating some sound effects would enhance the overall polish of the game. however I think you have done pretty well for your first game jam
