Not a very good fit to theme, especially because the items felt pretty inconsequential for gameplay. However I liked the retro style of the graphics and music. There seem to be some bugs, like when I first started touching a rat would crash the game for a few seconds. Some of the rooms are too dark to even see the rats when they're in the corners. Also the rooms felt a big too repetitive, making it hard to keep track of where you are.

Even though the game doesn't fit so well with balance; the sound effects, graphics and music made smashing rats very satisfaying. I'm glad you had fund while making this game.
i killed the big rat but suddenly i fell out of the map. please fix it in future terms. also i didn't see anything that fits the theme of balance. game was fun
I like rat smashing... Sometimes I accidentally click an upgrade when I level up mid smashing. Nice game!
Interesting! The aesthetic is really brutal. I think if you are gonna go for the graphic violence you should add some particle effects and some models of the guts that fly out like bloody mess in Fallout.
The game was really fun — the simple job of smashing rats with a hammer worked really well! I liked the aesthetics they fit the vibe perfectly, although it was maybe a little too dark at times. The music and sound effects were great, especially the little 'ow' the rats make.
I did run into a possible bug: I think the map generation might not be properly removing the previous map, because by the 4th floor, there was a lot of strange clipping happening. After I killed who I assume was the 'Rat King' (unless you play as the Rat King?), the floor glitched out and I couldn’t progress through the trapdoor.
Also, if you could enable the Fullscreen button in the Frame options, that would help — right now, if you exit Fullscreen after launching, you can’t get it back without restarting.
Overall, though, I had a really good time with it!
