Yeah sadly the game is broken on web for some reason. I've never made a web game before and I should have done more testing on web specifically. After the jam I will upload a fix. Thanks for playing!

Yes unfortunately the animations broke on the web export, and since everything is awaiting the animations, it just freezes up the game. It's really unfortunate. After the jam I will upload a fix. Thanks for playing!

This game was really fun and has a lot of potential! I love TCGs and I love space opera scifi so this was right up my alley.

The stuff I loved:

  • The basic mechanics of the card game work well and you did a good job of coming up with logical, cool, and interesting cards. The fungal tower and spore was a really good idea!
  • I loved all the different factions and the art, especially for the allies. So many cool and fun aliens! It brought me back to just creating freely with friends in high school.
  • Structuring the story/gameplay so that both sides used cards from all factions was a smart move to get the most out of every card you added to the game, especially with limited time!

Some suggestions:

  • Maybe have the tutorial element be a short game before you build your deck, otherwise we don't really understand yet how the cards are used. For instance, I didn't know that I would only be able to use one of each card per turn. I also didn't know how allies and structures worked yet.

This brought me back to playing games on Newgrounds and AddictingGames back in the day. I liked the main mechanic a lot, that's a really good base to start from! It could use some good sound effects for the shooting to give everything more impact. You could totally expand this with more bullet types like a giant laser.

I was a little confused on how to play. The art was really nice though!

Interesting! The aesthetic is really brutal. I think if you are gonna go for the graphic violence you should add some particle effects and some models of the guts that fly out like bloody mess in Fallout.

I played this one all the way through! So fun! I loved the aesthetic and the sprites you made for the bunny girl, so cute! The basic gameplay loop is actually very fun. There are a few things I think would make it even better:

  • Damage bonus for finishing the puzzle faster
  • Health bars/indicator on the enemies

Overall great job this one was definitely my favorite so far! I hope you work on this more!

Very solid! I liked the fish movement and animations. The basic gameplay idea is satisfying and makes sense. The visuals could use more love but worked well enough! And I loved the music.

Excellent incorporation of the theme! The visual and audio aesthetic was solid too. Something about this made me wish it was more physics based! I was hoping I'd have to actually balance the blocks, like Jenga or something.

I'm on MacOS Monterey and I get this error when I try to launch the demo file:

Your reviews gave me some cool stuff to check out ^-^

Thanks for the response! I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. BTW, I am very excited about the game jam and have a mini bestiary in the works :)

First of all I’ve got to say I love this! As someone who has been stuck running Call of Cthulhu for a while, who has been searching for something rules light and without all the ableist and Lovecraft baggage, this really ticks all the right boxes for me.

I just have one question, as a prospective Facilitator: where’s the INT stat? I love how you combined the stats down to three but as far as I can tell none of these would cover intellectual based activities. Hacking and computer related checks, for example. Any guidance?

I would love to make something for this!

Not going to lie as an enby this game made me cry---in a good way. It's amazing how attached I felt to all of the characters by the end! I fell in love with the troublemakers Trixx and Clams right away (Trixx's story of burning down the prize stand was particularly hilarious), but the scenes between Lydia and Borald were like genuinely heartwarming. Well done all of you, this was well worth the time it took to play it, and my day is now better for it~

Thank you for hosting!! I believe the only other achievement is for adding a choose-your-own-pronouns section. How do I display this on my page?

Such a great submission! The overall presentation was just so spot on and cohesive, from the art, to the aspect ratio, to the loading screens and the music so well done there! I liked the combat mechanic of commit, that was very interesting. And using the idea of RPG classes as an analogue to the trans experience was really smart. I had a lot of fun in your lil game ^-^

Thank you. I’m a huge perfectionist so it was hard to let go of that and just make something.

This has been a wild journey for me. I have learned so much in the past few months about making video games and VNs, designing characters and working with other people. I had a blast working with my friends as other trans creators and I’m really proud of the work we put in. I’m so happy that we could come together as a community and just put some more positivity and representation into the world. Love you all!! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️
