That's perfect, it's so cool that og card game implemented in turn-based game. And I always loved monochrome 1-bit graphics. Awesome

The game is really unique, but is has it's pros and cons
Pros
1. Unique Guard and getting chips mechanics. I do love how guard implemented visually, great idea.
2. Visual effects, especially ones that comes after you drove insane
3. Narrative. I love a story in any game, even if it's only a few words at the start
Cons
1. UI bugs. Inventory and Stats button can be clicked in a very small area at the bottom of these buttons. Since everything's under time pressure, It's really annoying to navigate in UI
2. You forget what to do. The problem comes both in given quest and in main gameplay. After a few game days you completely forgets what item you should bring to gangsters. In gameplay, after a several failed tries to get the item you forget the line you actually need to draw to take the item.
Also the game is challenging, but it I don't think it is a con, I still beat it, though some run got me tilting
Great job anyway, keep it up man!
3 of us worked on the game
Me, Kyle - the main programmer, I did most of main systems of the game, like player controller, enemies ai, level generation, etc
Shizafrenia - the main artist, he did most of the style and art of the game,
remained_mind - fullstack guy (programmer + art), he did both across all the project, getting small but important things done.
We're all worked on balancing the game, that's was tough and we think we messed up this a little bit (the game feels difficult for many people)
Thanks for the feedback though, much appreciate it!
Thanks for difficulty feedback, we're messed up balance, because I'm new to game design balance problems and because I could easily go pass 5-7+ difficulty in almost every run :) (obviously, 'cause I goddamn took part in making this game).
0 health bug is a common float numbers bug, just didn't had time to fix it
Thank you again for the comment!
Thank you for your comment, I think "visibility of mechanics" is the main problem of our game, we're definitely lacking experience here. Although, I wanted to add death sounds to enemies, but we encountered some critical errors when we start building final version the game, so I hadn't any time left for this :(
The game has it's vibe. Great visuals and animations (really loved the sitting on the stairs animation). Nice gameplay, but getting hard on floors 4-3. I think with default 3rd person game controls it would be easy to play, but the current controls contribute to the vibe of the game. Also, camera clips thourgh walls then you are close to them.
