I am a sucker for trivia-based games and this one was very well-made! The searching game got chaotic really fast. Something that would be neat is to have some sort of visual/auditory cue (like a bird chirp) if you hover your mouse in the vicinity of the wanted bird.
that is a really great suggestion. Nothing like that even came to mind when I was making it!
Very casual, I like it! Turns out I don’t know anything about birds 😭.
Some feedback on the “where’s waldo” mini-game: Punishing the player for guessing incorrectly might be helpful because I started clicking everywhere when time started to run low 😅
Overall, great art and pretty fun :)
There is an accuracy score on that game. :)
Really nice, casual minigames. Amazing art too!
Two games for the price of one! Amazing execution here across the board. The only feedback I can share is that it might be a little more fun with more, varying sound effects (bird calls come to mind!) built into the experience and that the cursor graphic was a little unclear to me as to where I was clicking. Was it the tip of the quill or the end of the feather? I'm glad I got to experience your game as it's one of my favorites in the jam so far—thanks for making and sharing it!
I tried to make the feather cursor shaped so it was intuitive. I guess I could have done better there.
thanks for the feedback
Good quality for that short time, add a few more sound effect and music loops to not tire the player and you can consider it a full game. Like those educative games that are often install in school computers.
The only proiblem it's now i want "palitos de la selva"(it's soft candy that has one "quess the animal riddle" printed in the warp pretty here in Argentina, good i order a bag yesterday).
Great art, cool game idea! it even has different game modes!
7/10 on trivia wooot! This was really polished and professional -I loved the art and the design / layout. The music was really nice too -whole thing felt very high quality and I learned some stuff too -awesome work! :D
I do not have a bird brain 😔🐥
I sadly learned that I really suck at bird knowledge 😔
WOW!!! Did you do research on bird while making this? or you just good with birds? because damn, the trivia is a lot
A combination of both. The majority of the parrot facts came from my knowledge, since my wife and I run a bird rescue and usually deal with tons of parrots.
The other facts were just googled. I don’t think I ever need to know that ostriches lay the largest eggs of any bird, grow the heaviest, run the fastest, and are 9 feet tall, but here we are!
woooww!!! okay you sounds cool... i'll follow you
Love it! I got the score Sky Glider :)
That’s not bad! I’m sure you could beat it with another play through (There are over 200 randomized questions)
What can I say this is as good as it gets. great art , great sound , interesting facts, 2 modes, this could be a commercial game . like for schools that want to teach kids in a fun way. And it works for any topic great job.
I really liked the art and style of this game. I liked that there are two different game modes to choose from and enjoyed both of them! Learn some new stuff about birds too, so thanks!
Interesting concept, although it felt more like two separate games than one cohesive one.
Apparently I don't know anything about birds, but it was still pretty fun. I really liked the imposter mode. It got very hectic very quickly
Oh I loved this!
Loved the presentation of it, played the trivia game a bunch of times (dinosaurs mentioned woohoooo!)
The impostor game gets very crazy veeery quick. I think I'd would have liked to see it ramp up a bit slower with a total time limit of 60 maybe.
Great work!
The art is incredibly cute, and the trivia puzzles were very entertaining. The fact that most of them were doable with common knowledge made it fun, but statistical questions like "Roughly how many species of birds cannot fly" felt a lot more random in comparison.
The Imposter Mode made for an interesting mini game but the highlight was definitely the Trivia Mode. Nice job!
very nice art and theming!, i kinda wish the trivia went until the full 60 seconds was up, but having it be 10 questions was good too… sadly i couldn’t get a perfect run :(
oh, also the inclusion of the impostor mode was really fun too!
That's a really good score! Was that your first attempt?
i think it was my 3rd, i went through 5 or 6 times though!
