I like visuals, but the game's movement is a bit weird.

This is a really fun game! The mechanics are also nicely introduced.

The controls are hard to manage, as the player slides A LOT and turns really slowly, but other than that this is great.

Developer

Thanks for playing. During play testing I was considering increasing the rotation speed  and decreasing the deceleration a and increasing the player speed a little so that the bird feels more like a humming bird , but there were some other bugger bugs that needed fixing. I worked on those and that slipped my mind. thanks for the feed back.

I have mastered the four seasons! Fun little game. The art style is fun and I enjoyed the audio during my play through. I'd be curious to see how your game would play with some more tweaking done to the controls; I found myself wishing the player was a bit more responsive to my inputs when trying to turn. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Developer

thanks for playing to the end ! That is awesome!  A lot of players have been commenting on the controls and I think that you are right about this. This is part of a bigger project that I am working on for my you tube channel about making a asteroids recharged clone in godot using composition and decoupling. So I really appreciate all you feed back. Do you think that a player_dash would be a good addition to the game?

I think a dash or dodge mechanic would be interesting, but I bet it'd be tricky to get it feeling good given the size of the player in relation to the size of the level/viewport dimensions. I think it'd work really well with a larger level size!

thanks I will take this into consideration for the asteroids game . because it has wrap around movement.

I love how the difficulty ramps up on the second level -very fun trying to dodge them while also trying to hurry for the combo meter -love it! awesome work! :D

svg graphics always look good!

Developer

I know right! I am not very good with art . i tried using programs like krita  and gimp but was not very successful, but then i decide to give Inksacpe a go and I think that my art has improved a lot . I think that it is the limitation of using shapes that did it for me.  that and a rreat color pallet form lospec.com.  Thanks for playing and the Follow too. Gave you a follow back I will love to see how your journey progresses.

This was a fun game! The controls didn't feel natural at first but then they just suddenly made sense and became a lot of fun, good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing I tried to make version of the old  asteroid game controls system , Separating rotation and thrust, but I also wanted the bird to move backward because I am fascinated with Humming birds. So i get that the controls take a bit getting used to.  maybe if i increase the rotation speed. I appreciate the feed back.

Fun game, controls feel satisfying

Developer

Thanks for playing, I have been experimenting with the controls for a video I am working on for my youtube channel.  I am glad that you think that the controls feel satisfying, I'll take it as i am making a step in the right direction.

I really like the art of the game! The controls were cool but made it hard to get past the enemies.

 Nice job!

Developer

Thanks for playing, and that you like the art . I have been experimenting with inkscape and I am really liking it !  The controls are a "work in progress" for a video I am working on.  I appreciate the feedback.

I couldn't finish the game, I guess I'm clumsy

Developer

Sorry to hear that , the controls it takes a little getting used to , it is based on asteroids controls, I am working on a tutorial for my youtube channel. Imagine the original version had  the player controlling 2 players at once wasd and arrow keys, had to scrap that idea lol. Thanks for giving it a shot !
