I love myself a puzzle game and the mechanics here points to a nice “sokoban” with new way to design puzzle. I would’ve loved more difficult puzzle, but it does take time to come up with nice levels and okay difficulty. Loved it

What a neat little puzzler! Great to see the variety of mechanics introduced through the game worked well together to build complexity. Also a great use of the limitation, I was definitely in puzzle solving frog mindset for the duration of play.

Developer

thank you!!

For me absolutely excelent idea and use of limitation. I could imagine it as a "real" game. Loved the puzzle design. That's where things end. The graphics are really basic and the sounds are very repetetive.

Still enjoyed it.

Well crafted levels. Got to 10 - 10 and the game froze after eating the fly. Haven’t played many games yet, but so far this is the best one. GJ!

Excellent gameplay, really, really nice audio, and with options to toggle? You spoil us! There were some instances where intentionally or unintentionally I could get objects to share the same space, and somewhere around the level 7-10, when the frog eats the fly, the fly would resist and not move and it wouldn't trigger the level completion. Thankfully for the reset button, I was able to finish the whole game!

Wonderful stuff, keep it up!

Really pretty game! Loved the post processing. Puzzles felt great. I do think there were a couple of bugs with the pulling of the mushrooms though, where sometimes they would pull into the frog

Developer(+1)

thanks for feedback, yeah you right!

Submitted(+1)

i dont know if its a bug but i managed to push mushrooms into myself in i was directly next to the mushroom so you can fix that if its not intended

yeah you right, thanks for feedback

Wow that's a very polished puzzle game :) A success popup would've been great though.

Extremely charming with a clear UI and cute graphics. Very polished feel. I particularly enjoy the jump scales the sprite larger to simulate lift in an arcade environment, a classic trick!

Liked this one! Very relaxing as well. I'm a bit unsure as to how it's supposed to fit into the theme of horror, but at the same time, I got stuck on level 5-10 so there might've been something I haven't seen lol

Them is not mandatory it's only for insparation. But limitation is. Thanks for feedback

How the hell did you make it so good ??? Are you a genie ???

Anyway, small tweak: make it so if you hold down a direction, froggy keeps going. It was a bit annoying having to press it every time.

Maybe also telegraph the mushroom better. Could have a path blocked by mushroom instead of open area

Also thanks for reviewing everyone's game, you are the heart of the community

Thanks for feedbak really apreciate this. No, i am not genie there are a lot of people who made a game better than mine!)

This was definitely the most therapeutic game of the jam so far! I loved how relaxing everything felt, and the puzzles were enjoyable yet challenging! Great work, fellow solo-jammer!

Things I liked:

  • Quaint/Cute background music which made the game feel cosy!
  • I liked the added mechanic of moving blockades with your tongue.
  • Great UI buttons for accessibility.
  • Great solid pixel artwork and cute simple animations!
  • Solid level design.

Potential working points:

  • Stage 7-10 locked up after grabbing the bug, it never loaded the next level for me.
  • Cursor felt maybe a bit to big or cumbersome, maybe a slight bit smaller just my preference.
  • Level completed pop up is misspelt as “Level Complted!” (missing the letter)

Great job, Solid submission, could explore more mechanics but i really enjoyed some of the head scratching puzzles on 6-10 and 7-10.

(Kept the review short/sweet as being quirky with words on other reviews has led to false AI reporting lol)
